iphonecase2011's aluminum TakTik Extreme case is flawless!
Hey guys, I just received my aluminum TakTik Extreme case today from iphonecase2011 and...it is awesome! Being an owner of the authentic plastic version, I can tell you that the aluminum version blows the doors off the authentic one. The aluminum version is an exact replica of the plastic one, but without all the issues of Gorilla Glass rainbow effects, silent switch difficulty or the recently corrected rear bezel reversed camera & flash portals. The only difference is the bezel material used. As I've said in an earlier post...the Gorilla Glass used in these aluminum versions is the authentic Corning product (don't forget, these cases, authentic and replica, are all made in China where all the materials are readily available), the look, feel, quality and response is exactly the same. I believe the rainbowing effect to be caused in part by the plastic version's flexible bezels (this is also why that issue returns after a while, in those cases). I was excited about the older aluminum models (which are basically the iphone 4 version resized to fit the iphone 5) when they first came out, but these newer ones are a 100% better! I highly recommend this case if these cases are what you're thinking about getting.

It is my personal opinion that the case can be used without the glass, but rainbowing really isnt that much of an issue with these cases. even if it gets a bit humid under there and you get a spot its nothing like what happens with the plastic screenguards. Just keep in really clean in side there and keep the case screwed in evenly and firmly. You can also use a matte stick on screen protector which most people find eliminates any possibility of rainbowing ever. But i get a spot a little bigger than fingerprint now and again if ive been pressing on the screen next to heat or moisture like in my pocket at the gym or tucked under my arm but it goes away and right now i havent had any rainbow spot or weeks. Its just a phenomenon which can occur with anything next to the glass so its always a risk no matter what case it is that has the built in protector, but I think once you get it youll see its not really a big issue.
