Apple has become very strict with the returning of in store pick up items. If you cite your reason for return being wanting a different color, they may make you ship it to them, regardless of the fact that you picked it up in store.

Call ahead to be sure that is possible...my understanding is that their stock for in store purchase is separate from online purchase for in store pickup...once online purchase is made, store cannot make adjustments to it, only 1-800-MY-APPLE...at least that has been my experience

I think they give you 5 days to pick up...others have said they received an e-mail 2 days after order (if they hadn't picked up) with final pickup deadline...good luck

Yeah. Lots of 5s golds in NYC area. Im still debating inside my head if i would cancel may sept29 order online or cancel it and reserve online. But i dont know how long will it take to be eligible to upgrade again.. Some say it takes only 2 minutes. Some says hours or days. Its hard to decide! Hahaha

I did it yesterday. Cancelled my online order. At&T gave me my upgrade in 3 mins, tops. I didn't even call them!

i am in california and one early morning (1am) i checked apple.com for an iphone 5S availability. luckily there was one by my area. ordered it and just got myself a silver iphone 5S. at that time this is all the color that they have. i already got a gold one for my daughter so i wanted a different color.

Finally got it. Looks like Bridgeport got some boat load of Gold 16GB and 32GB AT&T. They are all green.

Ordered for pickup 32GB Gold 5s, but cancelled

My wife's 4S stopped working temporarily today, so to make sure she had a phone, I looked at Apple's website and found a gold 5s nearby for pick-up (Woodbridge, VA), and ordered it. Turns out, her 4S is still covered by Apple Care+, and they were able to resurrect it, so I ended up cancelling the order. Amazing that it was available at 5pm Eastern, so there's hope.

They will only hold it for 7 days. After that they will call you to ask if you're still Interested.

I have a doubt: my brother will go to miami from today Friday (18) until Tuesday 29. I would be interested in purchasing an unlocked iPhone 5s 16gb (T-mobile), but apple page says no stock. The question is: I can buy it directly at the Apple retail store? I mean, there is no stock to buy online, or no stock in general?
