10-bit color with 100% DCI-P3 gamut and 1600 peak nits is actually a pretty big deal. If you thought your iPhone's photos looked good before, just wait. Combined, those are some excellent specs for HDR.

Now praying to iGod for a case that hides the notch.
I get that “you” don’t like it, but most people don’t care.
It’s all the way at the top, there’s very little information around it, and it’s not really interrupting anything unless you completely stretch a video out, which 99% of people don’t.
So until Apple finds a way to remove it with absolutely 0 compromises, it will stay

That 475PPI on a 5.4" display will look gorgeous ! Please don't put a fat bezels and my money is yours. I also impressed about being 128G the base capacity. Given this prices, I could consider the 256G version even if 128G is far enough for my current needs. Apple seems that is doing the things right finally.

It's funny to see so much complaining about the notch. I was doing the same thing for a couple of years, bitching about how horrible it was and how I'd never, ever buy a phone with a notch.

Then I bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max because my desire for the camera upgrades exceeded my dislike of the notch. And guess what? Within TWO DAYS I completely forgot the notch was there, and it no longer bothers me.

Stop resisting the notch, it really isn't that bad. I'm more concerned about the PWM issues some people seem to have.

Insane screen possible but if the bezels are too thick you won’t buy it? Give me a break.

It's rumored that they're not moving to USB-C, mostly because next year they intend to remove ports altogether on the iPhone, relying on wireless charging and a smart connector for battery cases and smart connector adapter for troubleshooting on a computer.
So what you’re saying is there will come a day when I actually miss dongles? 😩

Seriously though, can’t think of a bigger middle finger to owners of nice headphones. If this happens BEFORE they get rid of that goddamned notch I’m definitely writing a letter to my congressman.

I don’t even notice it anymore. Too many people whining for the sake of whining about something.

My question is: Are the new non-pro model iPhone 12s have better OLED displays than the current XS Max/11 Pro Max chassis?

The people won't be buying another unprofessional notch screen iPhone 12 regardless of redesign.

120Hz is the new standard for 2020 iPhone and it's not worth any of your money if Apple failed to make it right.

Tim Cook is such a bitchy that have no enthusiasm for making great products at Apple.

Right, because your congressman give a s*** about a missing headphone jack, ports or a notch? Let us know who that is, because if they consider that stuff important in any way they need to lose their job.

The 5.4" iPhone 12 will have a Samsung display AND the highest PPI (475 PPI)?

Shut up and take my money! Never have I been so hyped for a phone!

It is great the 128GB is the base storage. Most will simply buy the base model. My wife is looking to upgrade her 64GB 6S to the 5.4 inch model (prefers the smaller size), and the 128GB model should be perfect for her. I will be getting the iPhone 12 Pro with 256GB.

This reads like a wishlist. Is there any evidence this leaker is reliable at all?

Strange, it's almost like we have a choice of what we do or do not buy. To most people, it's no longer an issue... and this is evidenced not only by Apple staying committed to not having a headphone jack, but other major manufacturers have also moved away from it. These companies have market research teams for a reason, and obviously wouldn't have taken Apple's lead if it had shown to be a major issue for most.

Man, if the iPhone 12 actually looks like that I'll finally give up on my iPhone 6! Just really... really hoping that it'll have USB C.
I understand you all want it to have USB-C, but just wanting it won't will it into reality. It's been stated many, many times before that it won't have USB-C, so you're only getting your hopes up for something that won't happen.

The “people” will be buying these in droves regardless of the presence of a notch or 120Hz, but nice try, Nostrodamus.

Tim Cook has enthusiasm for making money, which is his job as CEO and he wants the vast majority of his customers to be delighted, which he has done.

A bunch of internet randos complaining about rumored specs on the next iPhone and whining about a notch, I’m sure he has much less enthusiasm.

These displays are gonna be beautiful, I truly hope the "notch" is drastically better than the current design. The thought of them not having pro motion is disappointing.

Lets see some body dimensions! That 5.4" model may help shift the tide towards more manageably sized devices.
