Just read on appleinsider that it will most likely be HD and CPU that gets a minor upgrade. :(
There are Radeon HD 34x0 and 3650 drivers present in 10.5.3. Those are not for the Mac Pro since it recently got new cards. The iMac could make perfect use of these drivers. And if 10.5.3 isn't release by then, Apple could include a special build of 10.5.2 for the new iMac. :)

I don't believe it. They drop the iPhone price cause they want to sell more.
Mac setups are with equal prices since...1999. So, if they want to sell macs too, why no to drop that prices... im paying for plastics?

They dropped the iPhone price because there were too many in stock in the UK, and they obviously wanted to get rid of them.

They have never dropped the price of a Mac before an update, ever.

Meh...if there's one thing i've learned from Apple, its that even if they introduce new GPUs, chances are it'll suck compared to the previous gen...due to sucky drivers. Might be a blessing in disguise that they're sticking with a mature X2600 Pro (XT)

Two things: (1) Yes, because you need it to run Vista, and (2) three letters: OS X.

yes i know my friend, 1gb is plenty to run OS X with ease, but you no...for the price your paying you expect a little more.

vista blows :p

Like I said in the previous news post about the new iMacs were getting colors this time around. Strawberry, lime, tangerine... ;)

now THAT would be hot :p

If the new models don't have 128Gb RAM, a 8GHz quad core processor, plus a built in dishwasher and bottle opener, it's straight back to Windows for me

I'd be happy with a matte screen, but that's probably a pipe dream too.

Now this brings up the question, Do I buy the iMac now or wait until WWDC cause I predict that this is happening like the Macbooks. The Macbooks got updated with Penryn and now at WWDC They are supposed to get major design updates and other updates.

Dam you Apple:mad:

I REALLY want a new iMac to replace my current iMac G5, but ONLY if Apple offer a better graphics card.

I'm split down the middle. On one hand I want to wait for a Montevina iMac, but on the other hand, would Montevina make much of a difference in day to day use?

I wonder how many people will DOWNGRADE a generation or two in iMacs to satisfy current needs and wait for Montevina? Quite a few I bet.

Rocketman

hmm im guess proberbly 2.4 Ghz as a base....cant have the macbooks faster than the imacs!!!

and theyd better put 2gb of RAM in them....1gb just doesnt cut it for a £800 computer...i can get 4GB for that price in a PC.

An all in one? Where did you find that?

Yep, that's exactly what I'm doing. Hunting down a white
24 incher as I write this and may have found one.
I just loves me some matte screen!

let's hope... I'd be disappointed with the same graphics as this time around.

Keep the integrated graphics though

Great news!

However adding a Mini (with dedicated gfx) would be better news even!

:)

I would also like to see a mini with a dedicated graphics card. As long as this is an addtional option of some sort. I am trying to convince my boss to get a mac mini for myself for work. A dedicated graphics card would make it more expensive and would not be necessary for my line of work.

I am waiting for the refreshes though Steve! I know you are reading this!

When are eSATA ports going to start showing up on stuff? I've already got a couple of external drives that could make use of them.

Let's not forget the HDMI ports! I could use one of those when the Blue-Ray Players are included added.
