Use iFile and turn the App Names option to ON in settings. Then just copy all of the icons to your phone to some directory and copy paste them on the phone.

Retina icons for normal apps!!!

Ok a majority of you clearly know how to do this, so can somebody PLEASE explain? I'm not the only one who needs a better explanation, I'm new to this stuff. Your help is greatly appreciated.

And yup, it's icon_paid.png for words with friends.
I'm new here but I am happy to put another guide together if you need one as I am doing it a little different using AppLinks from cydia to make it super easy to find the app/game folders.

You don't need to, it automatically rounds the edges and adds the shiny reflection. 😀
ohhh damn and I try to round it of since 2 hours with photoshop, but I am a newb in PS... lol...

EDIT:
I tried it and have a shared icon, but it was twice as large as the other icons. And the edges wasnt rounded up!!!!!!
Make sure its resized to 114x114 pixels (use paint or photoshop), it should then be the correct size with rounded edges, I haven't rounded any of mine, all done automatically by the iOS.

Once i've finished my game icons I will upload them all for people to use, I'll then move onto my apps lol
The attached icon was tested. It is the correct size and with edges,...but when I use it with winterboard....it isnt the correct size and not rounded off.

Can somebody PLEASE give me an easy step-by-step instruction of HOW to get these new icons onto my iPhone to replace the old ones? YES, I am a n00b, I have no *^%*&$^#(* idea how to do it and yes I read the instructions the dude wrote before but they are way too complicated. A couple people posted before me and asked how exactly to do this too.

There is a guide on page one and I am in the middle of making an alternative guide but it still involves Cydia, SSH, WinSCP etc.
the only haggle I had with the whole ordeal was not being able to view the .png files in the app folders. No matter what I tried, I couldn't view them, not even in photoshop. It made it difficult to figure out which icon was the one I needed.

When replacing icons for apps I've installed it automatically rounds off the corners...however, when I replaced the calculator (part of iOS) the corners were not round they stayed perfectly square?
can you tell me in which folder the calculator and all the other iPhone standard apps are? I couldn't find the folder.
So is it just me or are certain icons not looking like the others...for instance Prince of Persia? Also, when im using the SSH method is it always going to be the icon.png? and i alwysa need to remane it to what ever it is correct? It just looks like some dont even change quality after i resize them and replace them hmmm

They are in /var/stash/Applications
It's not always icon.png. Sometimes it is something different. Also make sure you are renaming properly as the filenames are case-sensitive. I recommend using iFile or iPhone Explorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iphoneexplorer/). They show file previews so you know which image to replace. Also, iFile will show you what app is in those freaky ass folders that are named like 920390182, if you turn on App Names option in Settings.

I've not tried any of the default system apps yet so not sure how they work, but all I know is the stanard third party app icons are rounded automatically.
Make sure you delete or rename the old icon.png or Icon.png before transferring the new one over, if you don't it won't replace the old file and the icon will look the same, I had this issue with winscp.
Also, there are some apps (not many) that don't use icon.png or Icon.png, best place to look is in the info.plist file as it tells you the icon name for the app.

Ahh Snap! I would only use ssh to do everything i didnt use ifile to confimr icon first...good idea..ok i will make sure file names are correct...thanks man!! now i want to go do thte rest... cuz i made some 114x114 and replaced the icon.png but after respringign they looked the same...but maybe icons like price of perisa are alreayd retena..
