Man...this sucks. I just bought a 15" mid-2014 MBPr and of course it's fine for now but now I am wondering if I should return it and go with something else because I don't want to end up with that crud in a year or so.Its an awful situation that apple has yet to address. Outrageous that Apple would charge repairs for what is clearly a defect.
I don't know why they don't offer that as a display option anymore?

This is awful. Whats more awful is apple is profiting off of repairing defective goods.
This is devastating news, but these displays are useless after a cleaning or two, it appears.Your only option is not to get a MBP, so either a MBA or a windows laptop.![]()
Should've stuck with the matte screen option, instead of this plastic piece of crap.

If that's damage from microfiber and water, then Apple should replace those screens.
I would hope people aren't using paper towels and Windex.
