The original poster clearly had no intention to keep the iPhone 11 Pro. There certainly is value in it, coming from an iPhone 6 released in 2014. Sounds like a troll thread. No one in their right mind would go back to an iPhone 6 after using the 11 Pro, unless of course you hate FACE ID.

They could of gotten an iPhone 8 if it was a problem with price.

You should get the iPhone 8. It's almost as fast as the iPhone 11 and only 449$ in the US. Otherwise wait until March, there's a rumor that Apple will bring an updated iPhone 8 that is considered to be the next iPhone SE. iPhone 6 doesn't get iOS 13 anymore.

I would recommend getting the original SE for the size and it will run iOS 13.

Go back and read my reasoning or please read the entire tread. You don't seem to understand the message that was discussed (and repeated) here.

Ok, here are two files. One is 1x normal lens and the other one is 2x telephoto.
Now, its straight from the camera, no adjustments or anything. Please tell me if you think this is the quality video you seem to mention here :)

Videos posted few posts below with Vimeo - easier :)

P.s.: Its dropbox, if it doesn't work for someone then let me know what you prefer so I can upload it.

Complete hogwash.

One could very easily recognize there are many things "newer & nicer" about the 11 Pro, but then also conclude none of those things are of a value worth the HUGE amount of money (relative to keeping what one already has and works great for them)

Video quality not that good? ok...🤨
he probably didn't like the higher ISO rate, the 11 have reported been using really high ISO to light up the camera, with the trade off being more noise, previous iphones have lower ISO rate so even though its darker the quality isn't as noisy.

XS to Pro isn’t worth upgrading. 6 to Pro oh heck yes. If OP stuck with the 6 for this long then they aren’t really using their phone that much to begin with besides phone calls and text messaging.

I upgraded from an Xs Max The battery and camera upgrades are definitely worth it.

That is default, as you can see, the lighting is not ideal but also not crazy bad. Result straight from the camera is not so great, is it?

Looks great to me, lighting conditions and all. You're not going to get a better result from any other phone at this point. Sensor size is the limitation.

Dude, come on. That video is absolutely stunning. Just look at that ****ing dynamic range! And the way it preserves the color temperature of different types of lights - warm tungsten, cold fluorescent...all of them sharp..and that is not in still photo, but in a video - much harder to achieve. Can’t wait for that SE2 which will hopefully have the same main camera but the price I’m actually comfortable with.

My thoughts are following, this is  products forum, in this particular case iPhone one. You’re not turn on tech gadgets at all in my opinion. Opposite to me. But I’m the same boat of ignorance in question e.g. high heels from extremely expensive designers or super car costing like million dollars. All is about perspective, our needs, personal preferences and price tag we gonna accept to pay.
Here we’re all focused on every single detail differ one model from another, knowing the every year specs almost by heart and being interested in every new product release (even like product red with only different body color).
So don’t be surprised lot’s of members call you troll. In this community it’s unbelievable to keep iPhone 6 using before iPhone 11 pro.
I guess it’s a wrong place to share your opinion maybe some billiards forum would be more convenient.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not offensive it’s just not a right place to tell this kind of heresy

If a downgrade feels like an upgrade..... knock yourself out.

I think the SE out soon will be your bag of tea

Ok, I guess we have different expectations. The video is blurred, there is tons of noise and overall its actually not very good. So I guess its matter of preferance

I thought the video was fine. The lighting was shadowy in some parts and it still did well. Two questions. Which resolution did you shoot the video in and did you use the cameras flash during the shoot

Yes, you are right and yet there will be some people still on 6 thinking if they should jump. And maybe even for them the price vs return won't be there. So its just a matter of usage. I guess if the price was (lets say) 50% then we would all be having different conversation. Its all about the value you get for your money and how it changes your everyday routine.
I'm happy that a lot of people "gained" so much from 11 Pro. I didn't but why can't others try to understand that not everyone is the same?

You have to factor in compression, which always happens when you upload a video to anywhere. I bet it looked better lossless on your device. And indeed, higher ISO as someone pointed out already. In a such lowlight scenario that is a given. That’s also where the “blur” that disturbs you comes from. But all that aside, I’m blown away by the dynamic range on that one, amazing result for a smartphone.
I’m with you on the value question, but hard disagree on the video.
Edit: Maybe go shoot the same scene on your iPhone 6 and let’s all compare...

I watched the videos on my MBP and to me, they seem fine, however, I was not at the scene so my judgement is not objective. It does not meet your expectations, plus you feel the Pro does not have the value for you.
I agree with above poster to do a comparison, however, your concern is not the objective comparison but the value ...
Enjoy your 6 until you find a replacement that meets your expectations and provides the value for you.

Ok, so I finally tested it. Bought iPhone 11 Pro and used it for a while (within the return period). Here is what I liked and disliked:

liked:
-speed
-pictures quality
-FaceID worked nice (but still prefer touchID as FaceID doesn't work in a lot of situations)

disliked:
-heavy
-big
-video quality not that good
-price

On daily basis, my usage hasn't improved. Sure the speed was noticable and the bigger screen was nice but now that I'm back on 6 I can say its not a deal breaker. The 11 is too heavy and big to really use one handed which is what annoyed me the most.
I also went to play pool with my partner and noticed that the video came out crappy. Yep, I understand that the lighting is not ideal but this bar was actually lit quite well as it wasn't very dark outside of the table light and yet, the video was a touch blurry and my partners face which was slightly outside of the direct table light (but still lit ok from the ambient light) was full of noise. The video looks fine on the phone but as soon as you take it and play it on your computer you realise how not so good it is. Not saying that iPhone 6 would do better job (not at all) but just saying that the main improvement in the camera is not really there yet.
Overall, I returned this $2000CAD device as its simply too expensive for what it gives ME on daily basis. I'm happy that I'm back on a smaller, lighter device and I will wait for next year to see what the SE2 will be about.
Also, the battery on 11 Pro is not as great as I thought.

In the end, the 11 Pro is a good phone but I don't think its worth the price tag. Good thing was that the notch didn't bother me and I had no eyestrain which were my 2 concerns.

For now, I'll wait it out. 11 Pro waste of money for me. :)
I have the iPhone 6 too, great phone, lend it to a friend who's currently using it, still does its job very well

I think that would be a fair comparison. do the same type of video with your iPhone 6
I don't need to do that. I know that 6 will be much worse. For some reason, you guys seem to miss the whole point of this conversation. It wasn't about what has better specs etc. 11 Pro wins on pretty much everything (except size/weight). This whole thread is about VALUE!
ie. is the 11 Pro giving me $2000CAD value yes/no? And for me, the answer is no and I explained why. If someone gives me 11 Pro today for free I will gladly accept it (even if I will miss the size/weight of 6). This is not specs debate but rather subjective VALUE conversation.
You guys get value from 11 Pro? Good for you. I don't - good for me.
Simply sharing experience.
