I broke down and ordered one... lol. Got my tracking number but just says Shipping Info Received, which seems to be typical from what I've read about ordering from them.

I just reinstalled a curved edge screen protector and I managed to get it to work with the PlayProof without any lifting on any of the corners. This is now the perfect setup for me now.

That's nice! Post some pics. :)

Please excuse the terrible picture quality. Had to use an iPad Air 2.

Got my black infinity pixel design for my 6S+. I love it. It's like very identical to Apple Leather/Silicone case in term of thinness and comfort. While much more protective. I'm very pleased with it! Plus it's very easy to install and taken off compared to other cases like Speck Candyshell Grip or UAG. Worth the buy!

how's the grip of the playproof compared with apple silicone case ?

I never had silicone case but I have seen them and played with it at store. I would say the play proof is LITTLE bit slippery but it doesn't attract dust like silicone case would. And the printed design on the back gives it little bit traction. At least, it is not as slippery like Otterbox Symmetry is. Those things are way too slippery!!

Aargh maybe I should have gotten one of the printed ones. I liked how the navy blue one looked in this thread though.

The printed pattern does help a little with grip, but it's not a major difference. And as far as the comparison with the Otterbox Symmetry is concerned, are you talking about the new and improved Symmetry? I just reviewed it for the 6s Plus and would not characterize it as a slippery case. I would say it is a low to mid grippy case due to the significant amount of rubber on the sides of the case. I have reviewed both the Symmetry and the PlayProof and the PlayProof is way more slippery.

Here's my Symmetry review:

Thanks @scjr for the review! Very helpful. I've been waffling since seeing Aaron's review. I'm about to upgrade from an iPhone 5 to the 6s, which I have been hesitant about due to the larger size. I have a tendency to drop my phone somewhat frequently, though I've never damaged it doing so. I've been using the Speck Candyshell Grip but don't want to add that kind of bulk to the 6s.

I want good drop protection without making the phone a lot bigger and bulkier and I am not a huge fan screen protectors. I'm just concerned about the fact that several people have mentioned the slickness of the Playproof. Has anyone compared it to the Evutech Karbon SI or the Loopy Vibe?

Thanks @Jaggrey for the discount code!

You're welcome!

It's noticeably slimmer than the CS Grip. The CS grip has superior grip. If you're already prone to dropping the phone, it's possible no amount of grip will help. I know the grip isn't great with this case. There's no sugar coating it, but everything else shines. It's slim, it's light, fits perfectly and is drop rated to 11.5 feet. I'm use to handling it now, so the lack of grip is no longer an issue.

I really like the CS Grip and the others I compared the PP to in thickness, but this one has the perfect form factor for me. I also found it's easier to manipulate the phone in my hands and very easy to slip in and remove from pockets.

Thanks! I've been thinking a slicker case might make it more likely for me to drop the phone but I have issues with nerve compression in my hands, which is usually why I drop the phone. So you make a good point. I'm not sure the grippiness of the CS Grip actually helps all that much nowadays.

I ordered the PP last night so we'll see how it goes. I also ordered the Loopy Vibe. Aaron from Mobile Reviews Eh raves about it and has a $5 discount code on top of it already being on sale. Plus they have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so I can return it if I don't like it. However, it doesn't ship until January 2016 so I figure I'll try the PP in the meantime. Can't wait to get it so I can actually get the phone.

Thanks again!

is the back of PP really that slippery as shown by Aaron ? the phone was spinning rounds and flew off the table with a flick of finger.
most of my phone drops are hitting my phone off the tables.

Well, if you don't want it to fall off the table. You can always put sandpaper stickers that you put on stairs or whatever, on the case. ;)

Couldn't resist. Lol.

You know, I put it on a table and didn't find it to be that slippery. I guess it would depend on the table's surface. Maybe on a very smooth surface it would do that. There's really no sugarcoating it, it's slippery. Is it as slippery as he says, not sure? I'm good with it, plus there are trade offs with all cases.

If most of your drops are off tables, maybe this won't work. If it does fall off the table, it'll be fine. Wife dropped mine from about 4 feet the other day and it was fine. In my case, the one minus isn't a deal breaker. Everything else is perfect to me. It's a great case.

There is somewhat of an update in this regard. Aaron uploaded a new video a few days ago, which compares the Crash Guard and the Playproof to one another as well as discussing screen protectors. He did note that in his initial review of the Playproof, Evolutive Labs did send him prototype versions of the case but the production versions did add more of a matte finish, making the handling and texture a bit better. The case is still a bit on the slicker side, but it's not as bad as you witnessed in the first video review Aaron released of the Playproof. I even intentionally tried to spin it in the same way on all of my tables (LOL) but it never moved in the way that was broadcasted. If you're texting or swiping on your phone while it's resting on a surface, you should also be fine, as the phone hasn't moved for me when performing those actions, either. Phew!

For those who currently own the Playproof: I had mine on my phone for about 3 weeks and just removed it the other day to see how well it kept out dust and other particulates. I did notice that around each of the four corners, along the buttons, and also across the entire bottom of the case, that a trail of debris had collected. Not tons by any means, but enough to break out the microfiber cloth and start cleaning away. I sometimes stash my phone in my pocket if I must, for example, when in the office, but only for a few moments at a time. I had observed that the lip around the front screen doesn't sit entirely flush against the glass and that the particles were likely getting in through there but until I removed the case, I didn't think too much of it.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE this case and don't see this as any major issue or a breaking design flaw. My question for all is: has anyone else experienced anything like this? I have, for the time being, switched back to my Atmos X4. Even though it isn't quite AS slim as the Playproof, I've removed it a number of times and have yet to encounter a similar scenario with dust/debris. I think the fitment of the X4 is more enclosed along the inner sides and underside of the case, and makes cleaning the areas that are exposed much easier. And that grip....oh gosh that grip! So nice :D

Thanks for mentioning that Aaron did a new video with these cases! It was really helpful. Definitely explains why some people are saying it's not as slippery as they thought. I've got a Playproof that's lost in the mail... it was supposed to be delivered yesterday but now seems to be bouncing around between post offices. Hopefully I get it tomorrow since it doesn't look like it'll be today.

Sure thing! So sorry to hear that your delivery is delayed. I suppose it's that time of year with holiday gifts overloading courier services. Hopefully it arrives very soon. I think it'll end up being worth the wait once you do receive it.

yeah, after watching that video, I went ahead ordering Playproof. Was thinking that I can always sell it if it really doesn't appeal to me. Will share my opinions on the case when I receive it, to keep it or stick with apple silicone/ dropsuit case. will try to spin it too. LOL.

Well I finally received mine! My initial impressions... it's not as slippery as I thought it was going to be. I'm sure I'll adjust to the feel of it. I think what I miss coming from my transparent UAG are the ridges that the latter case had, which helped with the grip some. I think if there was more texture that would help, which may be why some say the customized printed patterns for the back helped some. But this case isn't bad at all. I like it enough to keep it on the phone and try it out for a couple days.

Glad yours arrived! It sounds as though your first thoughts are quite similar to those who have the Playproof as well. I completely understand what you mean about a different case having ridges/additional texture. That's what makes me continue to bounce between the Playproof and the Atmos X4! Better to have cases that you really enjoy and function well than to not, though :) It is also possible you'll get more used to the handling of your phone in the case after a few days of breaking it in.
