Review of the Switcheasy Capsule Neo

So after using the neo for my white phone for a week, the clear part has been somewhat annoying. Little bits of dust keep getting under the case which can be seen through the clear H-part. Also, does anyone else have a slight peeling problem? Bits of mine are starting to peel...

Can someone PM the email for customer comments that gets a good response?
 
I posted yesterday about how I have a black and white neo (new in perfect condition) that I CANNOT STAND. Like I said, I feel like you need a PhD in Rocket science to get the famn things on.

I offered people to PM me if they have somehting to trade, and I got a TON of responses, so I'll say this:

If you live in NYC and can deliver either an SGP shield, BSE, BOdyguardz, IS or any equivalent product. Both Neos are yours.

I'm a big fan of this case. Really warmed up to it, and don't think that it's all that difficult to put on. Yeah, it's not slip-on-slip-off, but I don't really need it to be.

I've got a black, and a white version. Because of this, I rock the combo:

I am really torn down the middle between the white and the black neo. Both have their pros and cons and it's just really a hard decision. I've never worried about cases for any other of my previous phones, but this is the iPhone! It's a shame I can't get both or it would be easy. Dishing out 70 bucks for cases is rough.

The major points for me, comparing them to each other, is that the black one just seems very plain and dull (covering the chrome with the black membrane pretty much makes the iPhone one color) compared to the white one. The white one seems very sleek but I'm worried that its kinda feminine (don't mean to offend anyone). I am only basing this off of pictures and the videos from YouTube. This is why I seldomly purchase off the Internet, it's too hard getting a feel for them.

Anyways, if anyone has any other input or experiences with them, it be great.

I just got my black Capsule Neo! I ordered it Wednesday night and it arrived this morning (Monday). From San Francisco to San Diego. Okay shipping I guess.

I really like the case. Great protection everywhere. Screen is protected, and all the ports are protected. The chrome buttons are covered by the thin silicon but easily accessible. The only chrome showing on the phone is the silent/ring button cause it has to be slid. But yeah, its awesome. Most of the negativity comes from the installation of the case but I don't mind. So other than that, this case is just about perfect.
(I don't mind the wobbling on the table either since .. I don't do that)

I wanted to order both to see what the exact opposite combo would be like on my white iPhone 3G. The clear "H" and the Black "I" with a white phone seems as though it would look sweet (in my head anyway). :)
 
I wish they would sell more condoms... I don't like just having one. What if it gets dirty and can't be cleaned... I'll have to buy a whole new set?

Email the company and they will send you another set of the 'condoms'. They take good care of their customers, from what I've experienced.
 
Will the included screen protector suffice or should I also buy bestskinsever or bodyguardz screen cover?

this case looks promising. i like the more conservative look as compared to the rebel, and the extra 5 bucks is nothing considering the price of the phone. also, the higher difficulty of putting it on doesn't bother me since i don't plan on taking it out often if not ever.

One more thing... is the packaging small enough to fit in a mailbox?
 
yeah the package is small enough to fit. As long as it doesn't have to be slid through a thin slot.
 
ordered mine in black on the basis of reviews here so thanks everyone. Just wish I had found out about it earlier (I dropped my phone last night and the back is scratched!)
Cant wait to get it because it looks really good. I ordered black but now starting to wonder if I should have gone for the white

Good choice of getting a Capsule Neo. I've had my black one for a few days and I really like it. I think you'll like the black one better. There's more complaints about the white one than the black one. (stained condoms, see through h-frame reveals dust, i-frame gets dirty easily) But yeah, either one is a good choice i think.
Aw and thats too bad the back got scratched..

yep, pretty annoying considering I was thinking about getting a new case just the day before. Interestingly I had a 1st gen that I dropped (the first day!) and due to the metal back I ended up with two dented corners. With the 3G i have some scratches down one side which actually arent too bad (bug me though) when you consider that I could have ended up with another dented one!

I'm hoping that the neo will offer good protection against drops.

Anyone have any comments on the need for a screen protector? Both phones I have had have never got their screens scratched and I never had a protector on. With the screen being open with the Neo is it best to to get it covered? Does the one that comes with the neo work well (I'm afraid that it will be obvious that there is a film on the screen)?

The included screen protectors are good and you can't tell they are on. Why wait until you scratch the screen of your phone before you put one on??

Just slap it on and forget about it, you won't even know it's there. A scratch on the back of your phone is acceptable, a scratch on the front not so much.

Very, very good point. I can live with the scratch on the back (just about) but one on the screen and I would never forgive myself.

This is the sort of thing that makes me keep coming back to this forum. Great advice!

Can anyone comment on the bottom part of the membrane? I've read some reviews of other cases and some can be flimsy. Also, I watched a youtube review of the neo and it was mentioned that the membrane may cover the speaker resulting in a vibrating sound when your phone rings. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Do the screen protectors match up with the screen and home buttons pretty well? I'm fairly *nal about stuff like that.

I take my neo on and off more than the average person since I have a few cases I rotate between. Even with all that my membrane remains the same with very little wear to it. It sits perfect around the phone and doesn't cover the speakers at all.

No vibrating sounds and it won't cover the speaker. I think that was when they were in a hurry to put the case that's why the silicon wasn't aligned that well.
