Thanks for the review OP. Finally sealed the deal for me for when the iPhone comes out here in canada.

If anyone with the anti-fingerprint, can you please post pictures of it from different angles? Thanks

I just installed my Ultra Oleophobic films and I have to say I'm very impressed.

Having come from the PS clear on my old 3G, I wouldn't say these are any less clear. I'm really impressed! They do seem to repel fingerprints pretty well. Definitely much easier to clean than my old PS films.

Just had to throw my 2 cents in on this.

Thats exactly my thoughts. There is no difference in screen quality from the protector off vs on. And the fitment is better than PS, the cutouts are a little smaller. It is really hard to see the protector on, in fact I forgot it was on this morning I am dead serious.

Trying to get better pics of the fitment. I will charge my digicam tonight. THe 3GS isnt the best photo taker lol.

It doesn't wipe away as easily but it's better than normal screen protector that's for sure!!

How hard is it to align? These are dry applications, correct? Was there a lot of dust underneath the screen?

Thanks again for the pics and thoughts.

I installed the Oleophobic screen on the front, and the UltraCrystal on the back, and it still works with my Belkin Grip Vue case, which is a huge plus.

I have to say, I love the Oleophobic front. On the old iPhones, I was a big fan of the antiglare shields, but once I saw the retina display, there was no way I wanted to distort that screen in any way. The Oleophobic screen is a perfect middle ground. It's not as good with fingerprints as an antiglare, but better then the naked screen. This is easily the best clear shield I've used. Even covering the front camera makes no visible difference with the photo quality.

What do you think of this compared to an Ultra clear?

Thinking of ordering one, not sure which.

Honestly, I SEE very little difference, but you can FEEL the difference between the two. Swiping on the Oleophobic has less drag, and a bit easier to move around. As far as clarity, they are both crystal clear. Once they are applied, you can hardly tell they are on.

IF SGP had a Oleophobic for the back I would buy it, but I would also be happy if I only had the UltraClear.

I have to say, if you want a screen shield, go Oleophobic. If you want full body protection, you can't go wrong with the UltraClear. I wanted the best of both, so I sprung for both, and combined the two.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO!

I just ordered both the Crystal Clear set, and the Oleophobic front. Got them off eBay for cheaper shipping costs compared to the website, plus Bing cashback. Too bad SGP doesn't let you mix and match; I really only want the front and back protection. =/

I'm the same way, but you can ALWAYS sell the extras. You get 2 complete full body sets in the UltraClear, and 2 front Oleophobic screens.

Oleophobic for iPad?

Installed my OP screen protector on my iPhone 4 yesterday ... Very pleased with this..much better than the original antiglare protector I had on my 3G..

Problem now is I can't find one of these for my iPad.. Anyone have any news on these?

This thread makes me regret that I purchased Anti-fingerprint film by SGP, ugh! I should've seen this thread way way back lol

Just ordered the Steinheil OP from E-Bay after reading this thread. Just hope I can keep my brand-spanking new iPhone scratch free until all my gear arrives.

from SGP main thread:
For the past day I have been using the ULTRA OLEOPHOBIC Anti-oil. It's a great product. It helps with finger prints and oils from your hands and face. Clarity is awesome. The only draw back I've had is the screen is really soft. It scratches very easy. I have a little nick on mine and I've been using a microfiber folio. I wish this shield was a bit tougher.

for people with the oleophobic screen protector, how has it held up to scraches? same as the guy in the quote?

Yikes that's a little scary, wish I'd seen that earlier. Wonder if those scratches he mentioned translated onto his actual screen or just the film.
