TechRadar ran multiple Geekbench tests on both phones and the results averaged out like this:

iPhone 6 - 2905
iPhone 6 Plus - 2911

Looks like the phones are pretty much the same speed.

as far as the size goes, the 6+ is really not bad. Coming from android its a breeze for me. Ive used the Note and the Nexus, which is comparable in size to both phones. You get used to it within a couple days promise =)

How do you conclude the Plus has clearly more "raw processing power"?!? The 6 got better scores on every site besides Macworld -- whom made a mistake... If you exclude Macworld, show me ONE site which rates it faster.

Dude I don't even know the difference between Geekbench, Basemark X and 3DMark.

Is one more important?

I assume the Plus is more powerful but still not neccesarily faster because it has more to process with the bigger screen.

Im just going by this from Endgadget:

Geekbench and Sunspider are better on 6

Basemark X and 3DMark are better on 6+

Macworld has a review where the Geekbench score is better on 6+ though so thats suspect.

Are they all basing their performance on those geekbench scores? Because it looks like they're labelled wrong or something. Why would the 6 be clocked higher than the 6+, when it would be more beneficial to clock the 6+ higher due to higher res and less heat?

I'll wait for AnandTech. Still perfectly happy with choosing the 6 Plus.

Yes they are. CNet says it best.

"You're not losing anything much with the 6. But it's not the absolute top of the line. Maybe that bugs you. If it does, get the 6 Plus."

Boom.

This is what CNET said about the 6+....

the iPhone 6 Plus is very snappy and responsive in daily usage. We did notice some stutters and poor performance on occasion,

This small stuff will be fixed. People act like this is a deal breaker.

The Nexus 4 is 4.7, the 5 is 5 inches... I don't think Nexus is a good one to use in terms of size comparison. Note makes more sense, but it is huuge.

nexus 5 overall size is comparable to the iphone 6. please stop posting.

Keep reading. You forgot the faster speed and sharper screen of the 6+. You must have missed that part. It's ok, read them again.

Why is it that every year there's one of you??? Both of the phones are good ... Great phones. It's not nearly the same as the 5s and 5c of last year, but your still on every thread trying to get everyone to believe the 6+ is so much better.

We all watched the keynote we know the darn specs. Both phones have the same processor and the 6 has a better contrast ratio. The 6+ has OIS AND A bigger screen ... WHOOPEE...

Listen I'm happy for you if you chose the 6+ but you don't have to come to an Internet forum for vindication.

i currently use the nexus 5 =)
and ive used the note 3 it feels natural and i have small dainty feminine hands

im a 21 year old guy :(

And where are you seeing that the 6 is faster?

I mean of course the 6 is faster right now. They have the same processor. Everything about the inside of the device is the SAME. The 6+has OIS and a bigger screen. They both are running off of a 1.4 GHZ A8 processor. The same variant. Not a different variant like A8 and A8X... It's the exact same.

From the jump I knew the 6 would be a little faster than the 6+. As a matter of a fact it's truly a minimal speed upgrade from the 5S

I remember the days when it was iOS vs Android.

Looks like we're engaged in a civil war now.

If anyone even cares about it ... Make it iOS vs Android.

I, like you am so sick and tired of all this bickering and arguing about an Apple phone being better than another Apple phone.

Last year it was the 5s vs 5c. Which were both great phones and this year it's the 6 vs 6+ which are both great devices. Albeit, the same EXACT PHONE minus a bigger screen and OIS

This is the classic definition of denial. And it's not just a river in Egypt...

So what's the classic definition of "seeking reassurance"? Cause if it's trolling this thread to thwart any thoughts that say the smaller iphone is the better, then you're textbook. Seriously.... you've posted about every 3rd or 4th post for SEVEN PAGES....

Get over it already. Reviews are out... yes. And some of the professional reviewers said the iPhone 6 may be slightly better than the 6 Plus... ERMAHGHERRDDD.... better go post feverously on Macrumors to make sure everyone knows that MY decision was the BEST decision!

Case in point:

Yes they are. CNet says it best.

"You're not losing anything much with the 6. But it's not the absolute top of the line. Maybe that bugs you. If it does, get the 6 Plus."

Boom.

Give it up... go to bed and try to get some sleep. I know, it'll be hard to not lay there tossing and turning trying to figure out how you're going to backpedal once you return your 6 plus...
