The fact that the 6 is scoring higher (albeit just by a slight margin) than the Plus is blowing my mind.

Why? The 6, to me, is clearly the superior model. It's smaller but usable and portable - two absolutely crucial things that 6+ fails to do on both counts.

The 6+ has a better resolution which is undetectable to the eye, and a neat little camera gimmick which most people won't care about. It has a better battery, but that's it. The larger screen isn't a draw - the 6 has a larger screen than the 5S but remains portable.

I could have predicted the 6 would score higher. I can't wait for mine.

I feel a bit sorry for all the 6+ owners who will exchange when they get a grip of the brick.

If this isn't trolling I don't know what is. You have legit just insulted practically half of this community with your ignorance.

Then again if you think of all the 6+ users that have posted or "trolled" similar comments.... To each his own, but packing all the electronics and capabilities in the form factor of the 6 is more impressive and awesome than the 5.5'' imo. With extra space, obviously there is more room for battery.

I gotta say the reviews are making me think twice of the 6+.

Main appeal to me was battery life and productivity, but portability is a big concern as is the ability to do some this with one hand. Thinking of getting the 6 now...

To each his own, I wouldn't personally want a 4.7" model since I feel the size isn't a big enough step up from the 4" iPhones we've had for a couple years.

I don't see either model as indisputedly better than the other -- it's a matter of what size you ultimately want, and for once, Apple gave us two true flagship handsets.

Yes, the 6 Plus has some extra perks, but you pay for those perks with the additional cost and extra size. If size or money is a factor, the 6 is available to fill that void and you don't miss out on much.

Choices people. Choices!

I saw the part in one of the reviews about the Plus running cooler, but didn't see where it was said to run faster. Was it in one specifically? Or do you just mean about it possibly being clocked higher?

This is a silly claim/observation in my opinion. Obviously with the same software, a larger surface area of 5.5'' will help run cooler... that is not an amazing technical feat that really sways things towards the 5.5'', unless the 4.7'' runs hot, which nothing suggests.

Exactly...

Lowering the score for the Plus due to its size is kind of ridiculous since its larger screen size is one of its key features. It's like lowering the score of the 6 because it doesn't have a big enough screen. Doesn't make any sense for any iPhone 6 review. Does the 15" MBP rate lower than the 13" because it's 'too big' to lug around over the 13"? Or, do the reviewers embrace the differences as each serve a different purpose? It's about options and CHOICES.

I wasn't saying it was significant one way or the other. I was commenting that I saw one review mention they thought the 6 ran warmer when gaming but missed where any of the reviews specifically said the Plus "ran faster" as was previously stated.

Reviews are out!

Unless the phone has a habit of blowing up when you turn the display on, most preliminary iPhone reviews aren't particularly useful other than confirming that Apple didn't royally screw the pooch with this iteration. Definitely need to wait a few more weeks for more thorough opinions (e.g. Anandtech, notebookcheck-okay this one is more like a few months) if you don't buy one yourself before then.

Macrumors...been turning grown men into whiney little fighting girls since 2001...

This goes to about 50% of all the crap ive read on here the last few days.....pretty pathetic grown adults come in here to try to make other people feel crappy about a dumb phone purchase decision.

Pathetic...you know who you are.

Forgive them.

Its hard to see all these newly revealed benefits like; runs cooler, faster, longer churn out (along with bigger and better) right now as a person who has a 4.7 it can be tough if you're used to having that "elite" Apple feeling.

Like I said, even the reviewers did their best to capture a fair balance that courteously reflects somehow both sides (?) and the only way to do that is to amplify the weakness(?) of the Plus beyond proportion to its benefits.
