Still no movement, still processing with a delivery date of 10/4 -10/10. I'm sad but reading some of the other posts in this thread makes me even sadder for those getting the run around on the whereabouts of their phones
Anybody see movement for iPhone with October 4-October 10 delivery window? Mine has been processing since I pre-ordered on September 9. (Black iPhone 7+ 32 Gb T-Mobile) I know I need to be patient but it's just so hard. I placed an order on September 9 at 00 hours 22 minutes

Well seeing as how my delivery has always been today and if it's still across the pacific then obviously that date is not going to be met. So doing the right thing....yeah it's an appropriate statement here.

Really? Because if I look at my order on the Apple website it has Est. Delivery September 23, 2016. Estimated, not Guaranteed. If I look at the order in the Apple Store app on my iPhone it says Delivers 23 Sep, 2016 - 27 Sep, 2016

So please, explain to me why demanding "the right thing" on an Estimated ship date, when the more definitive "Delivers" says 9/23 to 9/26 is appropriate. Not trying to argue here, posing a legitimate question because I don't get how everyone is so twisted up over this.

Just called Apple and now I'm angry. Finally got connected to some douche with the online store after 45 minutes of holding on the phone (was disconnected the first time, too) and he basically INSISTS that my phone will be here today and to wait till tomorrow to call in if it hasn't arrived today.

I told him I can see that it's in a plane right now over the Pacific Ocean and hasn't even made its way into the US yet and he wasn't having any of it. Guess he couldn't wrap his mind around people tracking the flights instead of using Apple's order status page.

Then he tells me to disregard UPS's shipping information because it's inaccurate. What the ****? Does this guy have any brain at all?

So I call my UPS customer center and spoke to someone who was actually incredibly helpful, he looked at the tracking, said it would get here Monday. He said it might even be here by tomorrow morning but I can't pick it up then because the customer center is closed.

This douche I spoke to today just gave me more ammunition for my case when I call back tomorrow. What an ass.
I was told the same thing... the thing is... UPS has been posting inaccurate tracking info and they have also been lieing.... so who knows if it actually did depart Hong Kong... it could be in the US FOR ALL WE KNOW... you can't really trust anyone at this point.

I think most people, myself included, are basing it off the single delivery date included in the shipment notification from Apple when the phone shipped, or the date that UPS listed originally.

So my question is this, is apple upgrading the shipping for these so that if it is at a location that does saturday delivery to residents that it will be delivered on saturday (not available everywhere but is where I am for next day and 2-day deliveries)?

Waited all night for shipping update only to see another "mechanical failure"really(9:38pm)i assume it's still at incheon?or I just didn't get the newest scan yet possibly?

What if the "Weather Delay" is a delay due to emergency reasons getting supplies in/out to help those from the disaster of a few weeks ago? The same argument could be made with Hurricane Katrina and how could a storm affect normal operations a month later.

Just sayin'

o_O

That would be a Ground Delay, which was not in effect at ICN (Inchon) or HKG (Hong Kong) during those times.

I don't think anyone knows. :(

Both sides are just telling lies mainly because all you talk to are CSRs. If as a board we emailed Tim Cook, one of us may get a reply.

Got a 9:30pm departure time from Incheon. Hopefully it's making its way towards the states instead of some detour! Crossing fingers

At this point I trust UPS. The departure time finally has a flight with a matching time and it matches up with other flights on previous days from Hong Kong. The guy at my local customer center said it would definitely be available for pick up on Monday and that it would probably even be ready tomorrow.

No clue, I would have asked the moron I talked to but it was like trying to talk to a stubborn child. "As I told you several times, sir, UPS's tracking information is wrong, ignore it." Couldn't get a word in edgewise with this guy.

I'll probably end up calling back after my temper cools down and ask if they'll upgrade us to Saturday delivery. After the hellish nightmare this pre-order has been, it's kind of sad that we have to ask and that it's not being done automatically.

Man, I wish I could call my customer center, can't find the number anywhere

Why would you trust UPS after they said they were sitting in Korea for 2 days because of customs, apple overload, mechanical failure, and weather.... when they were actually in China with none of the above?

Because everything matches up now. There's finally movement. As to why they sat in China that long is beyond me, maybe it was per Apple's orders as they kept telling us. To be honest I don't really care what the reasoning is as long as I see movement. There's no way my phones aren't on UPS flight 63.

Departed from HK at 7:12 :(

That's the number to corporate UPS. You'll get some foreign person who will offer you excuse after excuse if you call that number. The employees working at the customer centers are usually much more eager to help. When I called he asked "what would you like us to do for you to ensure you're getting it Monday? We can call you when it gets here, you name it."

Mines going to a hub here in my city should I call them? They are open tomorrow

Ok, why would "doing the right thing" for Apple and UPS be to complimentary upgrade all of these phones to Saturday delivery? Especially when they're already going to make or beat the original delivery window?

Typhoon in China. People have died. Planes get delayed.

But do the right thing and get me my iPhone on Saturday because I can't wait until Monday.

#firstworldproblems

You're right when it comes to keeping perspective. We can all use that reminder. :)

However, I can't speak for everyone else, but I paid extra for expedited shipping, meaning 2-3 business days to delivery after shipment. Once the phone ships, that kicks in regardless of Apple's original estimated date. I consider it late once we hit the fourth business day, which we have. If UPS can't meet their own guarantee, it's their responsibility to make that right, whether it be delivering on Saturday or working with Apple to refund the shipping cost.

Also, from what I've seen, an awful lot of those weather/mechanical issues cropped up on the third business day. Seems a bit convenient, but I'll hold off on the conspiracy theories for now. ;-)
