The CC is not where UPS ships from in you area. So you may be fine still.

Ok thank you for that info. I was wondering if the customer center was where they routes shipments through or not. Gives me a tiny glimmer of hope to see mine get delivered tomorrow after all. Provided it makes it to my area today/tonight.

I just talked with the UPS driver who comes to my office every day. He said the way it usually works is the boxes are on the pallet with the labels facing out. Scanning one box on the entire pallet will usually tag all of the items on that particular pallet - it would take far too much time to scan each box. Especially when the shrink wrap on the pallets make it hard to read the barcode underneath. He said all items on that pallet would get the same timestamp IF UPS was the one who wrapped everything up onto each pallet because they would know, not a 3rd party, which items were bundled together.

In essence, he said, don't rely too much on the scan of one-box-for-all on the pallet because they're moving so fast that sometimes the scan doesn't work through the shrink wrap and they just move on to the next pallet. The more accurate detail will come once the pallet gets broken down and everything gets scanned individually as the items move on to local distribution centers.

That said, makes perfect sense why Apple and UPS cannot really answer questions. They're not lying, not covering up some grand conspiracy. Seems opinions based on a knowledge of the shipping industry are being given by reps at UPS/Aple to answer questions. Opinions of reps who are likely answering calls over and over on the same thing - perhaps getting aggravated, and rightfully so. Especially given the fact that all orders will meet or exceed the original delivery window.

So for people that actually originally had orders of 10/4-10/10, this thread has become basically worthless. A large percentage of posts are from people that originally had earlier ship dates.
For all of the posters that were never in the 10/4-10/10 order window, thinks for ruining the usefulness of this thread for those of us that were trying to status our orders to see where in the que our orders reside.
Most of us do have the original 10/4-10/10 date. There are a few that had earlier dates, but that's the bulk of us

Looks like my iPhone is on UPS99. It departed from ICN at 10:22 PM from UPS and that is when that flight took off! It will show up in Anchorage at 1:03 PM...

So, if my package is delivering to Portland, OR, does this mean it could be delivered by 8:00 PM tonight? Should I be tracking flights from Anchorage to Portland? Not sure how it works from Anchorage to Portland, if it even goes by flights...

Nope, it will go from Anchorage to Louisville, KY, then to your local airport, to the UPS hub near that airport, then to your local hub, then to you. You won't get it by 8 PM tonight unfortunately.

Well UPS just showed up... with a case I ordered. Hoping a Saturday delivery is in the works considering the phone will be in Anchorage in a few hours. That way I can stop refreshing this page while acting like it's going to make my phone come faster. lol

Anyone know when is the next chance for those in the 1:05 group to leave the far east? I Want it to arrive in the USA so I can have a realistic delivery date.

I believe from Alaska it goes to Louisville. Then to other hubs across the USA

I don't think the phone is coming today... Unless they have a cutoff delivery at 7 and they really are delivering until 7pm

I have a Hong Kong departure, does anyone know where it goes from there?
Anchorage, AK. Then to Louisville, KY. Then to airports across the country, the hub nearest those airports, then to your local hub for pickup/delivery. It's been mentioned dozens of time in this thread ;).

Just got back from the Apple store, and was able to get the phone I reserved with no problem. I had signed up for the Apple Upgrade Program when I pre-ordered and it carried over - I was concerned I'd need to buy this one outright, but no need. It gets set up as a new loan until I return the one that's on the world tour, but since it was less than 30 days since I ordered they didn't have to do another hard pull on my credit. The phone activated with no problem and is working great.

Hope this is helpful for anyone thinking of doing the same thing!

Oh...lame. Well, I sure hope that UPS upgrades deliveries for tomorrow! This is so lame.

Apple just told me that they will be having UPS deliver on Saturday. Now we should take that with a grain of salt, but it is somewhat encouraging.
