Was your original delivery day Oct 4-10, as referenced by the thread title?
My calendar says that today is Sep 18, still some 2 plus weeks ahead of your scheduled delivery day... so, what are you complaining about? Your delivery date has not been missed. Exactly why are you due any kind of compensation?

Absolutely. It's ridiculous. But keep checking in store inventory on Apples site. You may get lucky!!
What if they shipped late Sept orders 2 days ago, but not fast enough to deliver on launch. Then sent out another shipment (Oct 4 - 10th) and both are waiting in states set for Monday and Tuesday deliveries. That would also explain why their was stock of most colors (except JB) in stores available for reservations even today.

This is exactly me. I was mentally prepared to wait until October but this status change stirred me up and now I am just obsessed.
Same here. I resigned to ordering yesterday and waiting 2-3 weeks until mine went to PFS within 2 hours of ordering. Now of course I'm antsy pants -- especially with the stock checker beginning to show 7+'s shaking loose in North America.
Well... worst case, I have a rose gold 7+ 256 in 2-3 weeks. Best case... maybe next week

I have a JB 7+ on preorder but was able to reserve a matte black 7+ 128 through the Apple site earlier today. Itl try to tell you it's for IUP but you can just tell the Apple representative at the store you want to buy it outright. If they give you any trouble the confirmation email you recieve specifically states that you can choose to either buy it outright, carrier finance or even IUP if you wish. Was in and out in 10 mins.
I feel normal in this forum. The moment I put this phone down I feel like an outcast again lol. Too many out there that just don't know the struggle!

Have you tried to reserve in store... I literally picked up this exact phone in an Apple Store today...
Let's all calm down. We will most likely have our new iPhones in the next few days. Cancelling orders and picking up in stores is fine if you really have to have it now, but a little patience is important in life. Let's remember it's just a phone.
I would definitely goes crazy being in the dark without this/these forums and the community, definitely frustrated waiting but this does make it somewhat easier, and I definitely feel better knowing we're all in the same boat trying to look out for each other with updates and information
Agreed. This is the first time I've taken part in forum discussion like this before, but its also the first time Ive really pre-ordered anything.. But even when I don't, I'm still obsessive when it comes to new tech.

This. Like I wouldn't have any clue abt looking up my order with my phone number or order number minus the last two or flight tracks from China to here. This is my first year in here for an iPhone launch and I'll definitely be back next launch because this has been extremely helpful yet entertaining. I've been in here more than my Twitter or Snapchat accounts lol
