I honestly can’t understand why you people are so hung up on the notch. JFC.

It’s invisible to me 99.9% of the time, in the same way that our two human eyes learn to block our nose even though it’s within the line of sight.

Even when this big, bad scary notch is gone you all will quickly find something else to feel tormented by.

Just goes to show can't please everyone, why bother trying? People have been complaining about the notch since it was introduced. Me, the notch has never bothered me. But I will accept a bit more bezel if it means a lot less noise from whiners.

I used to be one of those people. But now that I've had my 11 Pro Max for a few days, I realize the notch isn't a big deal. The system is designed around it, and it doesn't get in the way when watching videos and looking at media. Not only that but the "ears" on either side are a useful place for status indicators like cel signal and such, so they don't take up room that can be used for your content.

I think the notch naysayers just need to use a phone with one for a bit and they'd shut up, like I did.

I just purchased my Pro Max and I don’t mind the notch. On my iPad Pro, I use a tempered glass screen protector and the size of the notch is WAY smaller, or give the illusion that it’s smaller. I won’t be upgrading my phone until 2022ish, so props to Apple for finding ways to improve their products.

Hopefully this technology makes its way onto the Mac lineup because it makes FAR more sense to include Face ID on them.

If Apple does this along with going back to flat edges like the 4S, they are going to sell so many 2020 iPhones they won’t be able to make enough of them.

i'm sure they're still going to be quite different. but the 4/4s were the best models... they were so much more comfortable to hold than any of the later models...

Please don’t make me choose between a 5.4” and 6.7” phone. One too small and the other too big.

Assuming the 6.1 wont be a flagship...which all the rumors have indicated.

the actual usage area of the 5.8 is 5.4 so you are not losing anything if you are/were interested in that model - with the notch gone you will get more usable screen (in a smaller body)

I rather have a notch and smaller bezels all around, those bezels are by 2019 already the biggest of all the flagships (except for pixel), I can't imagine how big they will look compared to the competition next year.

Looks good to me, I don't mind the bezel as extending it further makes no improvement to the phone, just useless eye candy. I don't love the size breakdown though as I am really a fan of 5.8, but I will need to wait and see. I would lean 6.1 I suppose.

apple its on a 3 year design cycle -I bet this is the model they are targeting for next year - I'll be shock if we have another iteration of the current model.

The notch doesn't leave enough room for important status bar icons like Do Not Disturb, Battery %, Bluetooth, Alarm, etc. It's so annoying that we have to swipe down from the corner to see that stuff now. I want to see it at a glance. Sometimes I miss calls because I forgot to turn off Do Not Disturb and I can't see the icon.

The current notch, while a bit unsightly, for me, has solved the issue of ominous Red or Green bar that Apple used to let me know I was in a call or some other background process. I hated that thing because it obstructed other processes. At least tucking these notifications into a notch is much better. Not saying the notch is the way to fix it. I just hope Apple never returns to the old way ever again.

he is flawless on the Android side and the last 2 Apple cycles he has been good - he was first with the 3 triple camera arrangement everyone was saying it was faked.
