The fan boy "members" of this forum are complete lunatics that do not share the same values of the standard American. Most of the kids here are young adoleasents livivng in the basement of moms house.

Most of the folks here seem to be young pubesant boys trying to create an image to their otherwise sad little lives.

By the amount of spelling and grammar mistakes in your comment it seems that you're the one living in your mom's basement. And if you see yourself as a "standard American" then the US is well and truly screwed.

On the other hand I may have just been trolled.

Firstly, let me just say that as soon as an updated iMac comes out I'm buying one.

Secondly, you're all going to find yourselves on stress leave if you keep this up. Every day now for almost 3 weeks its "well, no updates today - maybe invites tomorrow for an event Sunday - or maybe just silent update tomorrow", then the next day it's the exact same thing. A few posts back, I think there was a guy yelling at nobody in particular that he was taking his $4200 elsewhere. Then, there was the guy who was proclaiming "DEATH TO APPLE"

You do realize that Apple has never said anything about releasing any new products (save for some veiled references yesterday) and you've been operating off of rumours the whole time? (Yes, I know the name of this site is MacRumours (Canadian sp BTW))

Talk about a company that must shrug it shoulders and say "What are we supposed to do?"

They don't mutter a single word about anything - forget over promise/under deliver or under promise/over deliver - They've never said a single word, and there are forums full of people screaming at them. I just don't get it.

Why put yourselves through it?

Welcome!

We also have users who claim that they are going to buy the new version of X as soon as it comes out :) even without knowing anything about the specs, now that is brand dedication!

Just wait till the products are actually releaed and all the anticipation turns to hate cause the specs are not uber or there is no Blue-ray. LED etc. In fact as soon as the new products are released the flood of demands for the next update starts.....its kinda cute.

Apple is just a big tease, and we love it, after all the tantrums people go out and buy the new shiny mac anyway.

I love Tuesdays...

...except when there are no new products on the Apple store.

It's funny how our emotions go up and down on this day of the week. I would love to see some new hardware. I need an excuse to buy something and call it a 'business expense' to my wife! She is so tired of seeing the FedEx people dropping stuff off at our house!

So where do the, um, normal people hang out? (yes, I know this is an internet forum and therefore normalcy is somewhat skewed) Is there somewhere the old people go?

/sigh.....just admitted I'm old.

The Mirror? I wouldn't place too much importance on what a British red top tabloid says. Melodramatic scandal stories about slutty models and fading pop stars are more their territory.

The Mirror aren't bringing any new credibility to the rumours, just recirculating the same story that started them on here. They'd probably point to this thread to support the validity of their story.

This has to be one of the worse rumor posts I've seen in a long time. A blog makes fun of apple fans desperately waiting for an update that isn't happening and it makes front page.

Apple stores open in one hour here. With no leaks from store managers, store employees, or blurry pictures of displays or boxes I don't think I'm getting my new Mac today.

I wouldn't be so impatient if I didn't sell my iMac last month with the rumor of new iMacs in production and ready to ship in a couple of weeks. Now my wife knows why I have 2 computers.

I bought a 13" UB MacBook (my first Mac) in April and am currently in the market for an iMac. I would buy one today if it were not for all the rumours, and that's why I say as soon as they come out I'm picking one up. I'd be more than happy with today's version, so I'm sure I'll be fine with tomorrow's.

Here's a LOL thought for the day.......If you're calling Apple a big tease, I suppose I could compare them to my wife.....showed tons of promise with the initial release, with the promise of mid-cycle physical upgrades. And then...........nothing.

Cheers.

can't wait

If no one else has called it... I predict a "Snappier Version" of Safari!

Safari 4.0.3S - the 'S' is for Snappy

Sadly with a severance package just 10 days away... I'm already considering if I can use some of that on a new Apple Product.... or save it all for the Mortgage in this bad economy....:apple:

my desktop broken late Sep and I heard iMac will be out soon(the first rumor said early Oct optimistically)

the latest rumor rational and i still believe is: new iMac will be available on 27 oct, if we dun get a new one today. i think they should hv an update since it approached product life cycle and x'mas is coming, no way steve jobs overlooks this golden period...
