Two very strong competitors are potentially releasing a product at about the same time. IMHO, whoever does it first will get their thunder taken by the other. As windows was announced some time ago and the release date scheduled I think it is only smart for Apple to wait for next week and then pound 'em ;)

I really hope that is not the case though, need my iMac asap.

Suggest you delete/edit your previous post then or at lot of people are going to get really pi**ed off with you.

already done!

and i really couldn't care less if people on a internet forum get pi**ed off with me. lol.. please!

HA HA

Like i said yesterday, stop to talk about a release today. there will be no new product today.

If there is some new product, it will be next week. in the past, Apple reveal some new product 1 week after their financial conference.

Forget it for today.

Omg

Firstly, let me just say that as soon as an updated iMac comes out I'm buying one.

Secondly, you're all going to find yourselves on stress leave if you keep this up. Every day now for almost 3 weeks its "well, no updates today - maybe invites tomorrow for an event Sunday - or maybe just silent update tomorrow", then the next day it's the exact same thing. A few posts back, I think there was a guy yelling at nobody in particular that he was taking his $4200 elsewhere. Then, there was the guy who was proclaiming "DEATH TO APPLE"

You do realize that Apple has never said anything about releasing any new products (save for some veiled references yesterday) and you've been operating off of rumours the whole time? (Yes, I know the name of this site is MacRumours (Canadian sp BTW))

Talk about a company that must shrug it shoulders and say "What are we supposed to do?"

They don't mutter a single word about anything - forget over promise/under deliver or under promise/over deliver - They've never said a single word, and there are forums full of people screaming at them. I just don't get it.

Why put yourselves through it?

Loads of people seem to be saying this, but if we're honest, isn't it likely to be the other way round - any products that Apple release on Thursday are likely to get totally lost under all the Windows 7 coverage?

Depends what they release.....if they drop a multitouch mouse, multitouch trackpad, cheaper pwoerful mini's and cheaper more powerful Mac's i truly thing it'll be enough to gather some attention from the windows 7 release, and microsoft store openings. They dont need to do a kill shot, just take some of the steam out of Windows 7 release.

I'm in Europe and the resellers are no longer stocking any of the models that are rumoured to be updated. They have been told to make room and prepare for "something" in a few weeks. This was about a month ago, I think.

Yeah - I joined a few weeks ago and I'm thinking the average blood pressure reading of the members must be through the roof........

Has Apple in the past ever had any internal keynotes? As in not inviting media to it?

Because three products are rumoured to be updated maybe they could have an internal only keynote in the morning.

I'm probably way off but was just a thought that crossed my mind.

well, I'm buying my Nook today, so at least it's not all a waste. I think I'll cash in some Apple stock to do it, too. Ha!

Sorry, but none of those are revolutionary. Windows releases have traditionally got coverage on national TV news - can you see a new mouse doing that? Unless it's a mouse that also combines an iPhone and eReader that runs on water and reads brainwaves then I don't see it making any impact on W7 coverage.

The fan boy "members" of this forum are complete lunatics that do not share the same values of the standard American. Most of the kids here are young adoleasents livivng in the basement of moms house.

Most of the folks here seem to be young pubesant boys trying to create an image to their otherwise sad little lives.

You mean to tell me Gruby was wrong..... oh no, hell must have frozen over.. or the same damn thing that happens everyweek happened again. Man..

We are Apple crack whores and Apple is our abusive pimp who sources us. We keep coming back for more.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the whole point of a keynote was press. Without press, it would just be a memo.
