That's right - no Firewire on the white Macbook. For FW, you have to go MBP. Not unexpected.

Well, to me, it was unexpected to drop FW, especially when they put it back for the 13" Unibody (Pro designation not withstanding).

Oh well, either way, I'm not buying the new one. It does look nice though.

I'm just happy that the Airport Extreme didn't get updated. I just bought one 3 days ago.

OldCorpse Wrong Wrong Wrong. You are not the best you are simply wrong about everything you have been saying for 1 month.

I'm not complaining

But the only minuses is the GPUs
The 4850 is not bad, but they could have done better
Still, it's a fantastic machine :D

although the 27-inch might be the one i get because it still isn't that tall. only 20.5 inches, which fits on my desk!

I am. I need the power. every drop.

My response is - what are you actually doing with it? Most people think they need the latest and greatest, but they don't have any software that takes advantage of 4 cores efficiently. They just think it will make their games or Firefox faster than the next guy. As a computer engineer and someone who knows more than a little bit about what's going on inside, I have to laugh a little bit when average joe gets upset because his quad core machine doesn't boot XP in 500ms.

No Blu-ray no sale. Pretty impressive otherwise.

Seriously, Apple's deliberate shunning of Blu-ray to promote itunes is silly.
