I kind of want this phone, but I'm too deep in the Apple ecosystem to enjoy it.
How the hell do you know? Have you used it; no, so it's an absurd comment. It is kinda funny because I can dig up so comments from last year which were all about the S6 killing the 6... Well we know what happened then.

Have you bothered looking at the press and commercials for this? Micro-SD slot added, waterproof, an iPhone 6/+ plus sized battery in a 5.1 inch phone? These are great improvements over the somewhat lackluster 6.

No need to spew off and make yourself look like a typical ignorant fanboy. I'm looking at both sides of the coin and enjoying myself as a consumer - if Samsung ends up making a more superior phone, I'll go with it. Still makes ****** computers, so of course I'll stick with the MacBooks.

Make educated comments before making yourself look like a fool.

microSD and Anroid 6.0 ability to span storage across internal and microSD, makes storage considerations a thing of the past - unless you like carrying around a couple years worth of music/video.

If samsung pushes Apple on one thing, I really hope its storage. 16Gig base is a joke. And charging $100 for a $3 part, really rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Wow looks awesome. Wireless charging, waterproof, OLED, expandability, start your copying machines Apple.

Samsung has copied way, way more from Apple than Apple has from them. Granted, the most egregious incidents happened over five years ago, but you can't talk about Apple copying without mentioning Samsung's actions.

Now, if we're talking about iOS vs. Android, you could say a lot about what Apple "borrowed" from Google over the years.

In the reveal video it says it can be used in the rain, shower and pool. So I assume it means maybe even underwater pictures, etc in a average pool

Ah, gotcha. I just did some research on the Galaxy S5, and it seems like it handled submersions pretty well- and the water resistance rating for the S7 is even higher. Looks like you could take it for a swim, provided you don't need the touchscreen for anything.

Competition forces companies to keeping improving products. Stale products don't survive. Good for all of us.

Every company "borrows" or is inspired by each other. No company lives in a silo without any external influence.

If you're really that desperate to have more music on your phone than you could possibly listen to in one outing then buy a 128GB iPhone. All it does having that much music is to make it more difficult to find what you want.

Free GearVR + Water Resistant + up to 200GB of add in storage.... commmon appple........ Let me iphone allow me to bring all my music with me again...... please!!! I'm tired of all these streaming services.

I mean, how cool would it be to have all your music that you own, with you in your pocket (again).

As much as I think I'm trapped in the Apple EcoSystem, this looks pretty good...and I think I'll switch. Your move Timmy! Time for you and all the fat cats in AppleLand to wow me.

I'm in the same boat, very disillusioned with Apple lately, part of my sticking around was the whole Apple ecosystem, but it's getting weakened. One of the main things that I valued was music, and Apple is neglecting both iTunes, podcasts and the Music app with the bugs, UI fiasco, etc. I'm feeling like my dependence on the apple ecosystem is weakening and the competition is quite luring...

Pathetic how people here are already discrediting the phones. They look absolutely gorgeous - the screen quality, battery life, water proof, and having the ability to use micro SD cards. I'll say it now - Apple's last phones have been ****. Battery life is the only redeeming factor on my 6plus, but if Samsung can make a 5.1 inch phone that has the same sized battery with a more ergonomic feel to it (With all of the features I mentioned earlier), I'll probably make the switch.

Was thinking of going with the 5SE, but with how pathetic the 6/s battery is, I'm doubting that it'll be any better. Before worshiping your Jobs/Cook shrines without having any attachments to these companies financially, try to act like an intelligent consumer who looks at the pros and cons of each company, and getting the best product you can from these lines - instead of limiting yourself for the sake of being a fanboy.

You're not dependent, you're in complete control.

The problem with the Galaxy series isn't the hardware, it's the software. Android is still too buggy and choppy for my likes. I used a Galaxy S6 Edge for a month and actually really liked the phone, but the Android OS kills it for me. iOS on that phone would be killer.

Or maybe some of us just don't like stuffing around moving music on or off - as who knows what you want to listen to from day to day, or don't want to overpay for 128GB of storage, when expandable storage would be a much much cheaper option

Would've agreed with you a year ago, but with the disaster updates with the iOS and OSX recently (Though there has been somewhat of a positive slope in the past few months), I'd say it's up in the air for software experience.

Considering that your ignorant and needlessly condescending statement had nothing to do with my post that you quoted, I'm gonna assume that you didn't mean to reply to me.

For some reason, my reply quoted your post for some reason. Was answering to a typical fanboy (Regardless of the company) who is blind to see positives in other companies.

Ok, I just watched the Same-song promo for the new phones. I'll Brb.... I'm suddenly getting nauseous. Acid is backing up from my stomach and I think I am going to be sick!

Seriously, I mean how much more Apple-like do these guys need to become?

I guess I'm in the minority in that I could care less about removable storage. I in fact dislike it on ANY device and am so glad they are NOT on the iPhone and that Apple does not cave to Droid lovers. Let them have it. The devices should differentiate and not all features should be constantly be equalized or better'd.

The promo smells so Apple like that I can't even get past that to give these SAME SONG devices a good look over. The fact they copy Apple's style to the "t" is such a compelling TURN OFF.

There's a reason Steve Jobs supported the classic Apple Ad campaign entitled THINK DIFFERENT.

One clear take away here. Nothing really new and "different" in the new SAMESONG line up.

Practicality and Ease-of-use are fast becoming the most important features in devices. As more and more broad based demographics up their phones to smartphones, the ability or inability to use them in the practical sense will become the key factor.. Take my 57 year old sister. She just dumped her Samesong Keyboard slider phone for an iPhone 6plus. She is so technically illiterate that she struggles to "figure" out how to use just it's basic features.

I for one that believe that more features don't make for better experiences overall. It's better to improve and remove than to change for changes sake.

Upward and onward to iphone 7 ;)

No way, 80 billion in profits isn't enough man, how dare you criticize Apple's profit margin, gotta stay at 40% and increase to 45% this year, I'd suggest offering 8GB for iPhone 7 since you know, Apple music and icloud takes care of everything. ;)

/sarcasm
haha, yep I agreed with you.

Allow me to add in quality of apps to that list. I found the apps I use daily on iOS vs the Android version almost always seemed better quality with the iOS version. Not saying that is the experience across the board but it was based off the majority of the apps I used.

Well came from note 4. Been on 6splus since launch day. Apple is ok, just not my bag of tea. Is it cool to have it integrated with the MacBook. Sure it is.
I might be back depending what Apple does with iphone7.
Other than that. Sammy here I come
Keep your fanboy comments to yourself. Least I tried the iPhone. Can't get past the keyboard
