My phone randomly shutting off or not swiping to get unlocked?

So you phone powered down for an unknown reason and this is a disastrous software update - gotcha.
If we're talking about apps, the fact that Apple Music deleted 5000 of my songs? The absolute **** that is iCloud and not being able to integrate between my phone and computer for some reason?

When i was on trial it happened to me also, but it seems to be resolved now.

Sweet. Nice big battery. I'm in, been waiting for this phone since I got a Gear S2 last month. Tossed my Watch in the drawer, that was a waste of $$.

Funny how it's always different and there's always an excuse when it's Apple.

You assume incorrectly. I own both an S6 and an iPhone 6 plus, and I think the S6 is a better phone.

The screen, cameras, and design of the S6 is superior, and the S6 has the advantage of Samsung Pay and the option to use Android Pay if your bank card isn't supported. Also the wireless charging is a nice advantage to have.

I find the iPhone 6 series design ugly and unimpressive. That tin feeling with those ugly antenna lines are an eye-sore to look at, the LCD is inferior, and Apple Pay isn't as widely accepted as Samsung Pay is when it comes to merchants.

Tim is too busy counting pennies to advance the iPhone in giant leaps, and Jony Ive has obviously lost his design touch. Tim is the worst CEO in the history of business... He only looks good because he's still riding the wave of Steve Jobs' ideas. Watch Apple crash and burn in a few years at the same time the stockholders fire him.

Ecosystem will rule supreme, but hardware and software are close behind.

Just look at the recent iPhone 6/+ models. Hardware? OK - size for the plus models are too large, curved edges make the phones too slippery, and Apple still offers 16 GB.

Software? GOOD - integration between the phone, computer, etc. is still a very good strong point. But add onto that the bugs and disastrous updates in the iOS, and it'll sour the taste a bit.

Overall, I'd say that even at this point some Apple fanboys are looking for a good phone, period (Regardless of the company), especially with the rumors of how the 7 will lack a headphone jack (Already have too good of an audio set up to listen via ****** BlueTooth earphones or buy another adapter for a so-so audio quality)

Yes, Points taken. I feel that the iPhone 6(s) is a good phone - but not one with a particular smart design (bezels way too big, etc) but so far Apple was very successful with their products nevertheless (probably they would have been even more successful if their large screen sized phones had a smaller footprint but being slightly thicker and offering a 4" screen phone without compromised hardware - but that is of course just speculation).

As for the iOS: I personally have had no issues with the latest updates and find iOS 9 on my phone quite good. I frankly had more problems with El Capitan. My god, what a cluster fxxk that has been on my Mac.

But yes, if Apple drops the Headphone Jack and forces people to use adapters, that would certainly raffle some feathers. Including mine.

What is your experience with Samsung Pay vs Apple Pay. I know next to nothing about Samsung Pay.

I've had the 6 plus since launch. No issues with swiping to unlock or the phone powering down. No issues with battery or anything like that. Then all of the sudden on the day of the update and a few weeks later I have these issues? Yes, I'll blame it on the software issues, unless you'd like to tell me otherwise.

And I'm under the family plan for Apple Music, and the deleted music issue still hasn't resolved.

Point is that there's some great stuff, but there's an equally amount of ****** updates and features that have been rolled out recently.

I strongly disagree about updates and i no longer use music streaming, because it's not worth the price for me.

It works in places I can't use Apple Pay... Such as at Speedway or the cafeteria register at my job.

In the commercials they say Samsung Pay can be used on all terminals, but Id assume it still has to have terminals that have the contactless piece like the ones that take Apple Pay?

You disagree about the fact that these problems occurred under the situations I stated? OK.
It doesn't matter if you don't use music streaming. Part of my argument is the fact that Apple Music is trash.
And you can't deny the fact that iCloud is also trash.

Let me know otherwise :)

Not at all, Samsung Pay has MST and NFC support, so any merchant with a magnetic-stripe reader (all of them), with the exception of ATM's and gas pumps.

Honestly this is a hard one for me... I have a 6s plus, it's a nice phone but it feels so simular to the last few iPhones. Yea it has a bigger screen and a few things but, well I dont know. I'v had iPhones since the 3GS.

My wife just got a note 5 and that's one hell of a phone, so I can only imagine the step up the s7 will be. Though I really like the stylus with the note series. It's got a bigger battery then my 6s plus, the screen is gorgeous and the camera is better and feels like a mini pc in my hand.

I love apple, but they need to step up their game, I feel they are relying way too heavily on the simplistic iOS to carry them through

Samsung pay worked 100% of every place I tried it. Apple, I can't even remember the last time I used it. Samsung - you literally dont need to bring your wallet.

I'm going to have to do a bit of reading about Samsung Pay. How does it compare security wise to Apple Pay?

As much as I think I'm trapped in the Apple EcoSystem, this looks pretty good...and I think I'll switch. Your move Timmy! Time for you and all the fat cats in AppleLand to wow me.

I think the biggest myth out there is being 'trapped' in the Apple ecosystem.

I fooled around with an Android tablet a couple of years ago. All my music transferred. When I really got down to the apps I commonly use, half were free or $.99. I spent less than $25 on duplicate apps.

Unfortunately the tablet itself was just OK and I eventually replaced it with a Mini. But I was a bit surprised at how easy it was to switch platforms.

Personally I love the fact the S7 looks like a great device. Maybe Apple will get off their duff and start innovating again. The biggest jump in iPhone functionality came with the iPhone 4 when their was suddenly legitimate competition in the smartphone arena. A bigger battery and extended storage is great. All we are hearing about with the iPhone 7 is thinner and getting rid of an audio jack that is pretty much universal.

It uses a token like Apple Pay does. You don't have to worry about EMV playing as a roadblock for MST support in the future either, because there's coding in the software that'll tell the terminal the card doesn't need to be inserted.

Really? So the ones that you can only swipe can still take touch free Samsung Pay from the phone? Thats pretty cool.

Yes, I've seen Youtube videos of people using it at Walmart, Target, and other places that aren't even considering accepting Apple Pay (or any other NFC payment).

One more question, why do you think it was adopted so much faster than Apple Pay?
