I agree but apple is not making this kind of ads to push their products, they don't need to compare ipad or iphone to any other product because they know they are making te best and costumers also know it, samsung and other companies make this ads because they want to convince people in something that even they know isn't truth and that is that they are making the best products but it seems that they dont go well

You forgot to add IMO to your quote. ;) Because everything you wrote is exactly that, an opinion. None of it is fact. Best product is subjective. Best for whom? You? Apple might be the best to you. Me, your neighbor, the guy at cube farm playing Candy Crush on his bathroom break? Maybe, maybe not.

Apple isn't making commercials like Samsung because they are the established leader in their category. It's that simple. Everyone aims for the top dog. You don't avoid it. You face it head on and say I am a better alternative. Again, simple. Besides, it's just one component of their advertising. They have other ads that never mention Apple at all. Please, for the love of Mike, please don't ask for proof. You know it's out there.

@MacRumors, if you insist on posting these competitor ads as 'stories', would you at least put them under a new tab? You could maybe call it 'Hate Blog'.

Curious because I don't know:

Are there Samsung rumor sites that post Apple headlines several times a day?

I think Apple fansites include Samsung news because there's rarely much news from Apple itself.

And the clicks. Let's not forget the clicks. Few things on Apple-centric sites get more clicks than a Samsung mention. I honestly think it's intentional. I was surprised to see Samsung's Galaxy Gear S (nice looking) announcement not posted yet. Not surprised to see no mention of LG's G Watch R (very nice looking). The day is not over yet so my surprise may be premature.

By the way, to be clear, there are many alternative operating systems to Windows. There is only one OS X.

To be clear, Apple went after Windows so I have no idea what your point is now

Sorry my friend but I think it's you that has the problem with perception. The point is Apple does not have to directly go after anyone, nor should any company. Companies that design really great hardware stand on their own two legs and not by directly targeting their competition by name. And you have a great weekend also!

Not accurate at all.

To be completely fair, they should have either used both black bezel or both white bezel options. The glare coming off the black bezel on the iPad will be distracting as compared to the white bezel on the Samsung. Especially outside. Which will have an affect on people's opinions.

Funny to me

It's funny to me, that everyone is comparing themselves to Apple in their ads. So clearly, they are trying to make themselves look better than the best.

As a developer of both iOS, Windows 8, and Android apps, I can state from a voice of experience, and knowledge of all three platforms.

- Multitasking is software, not hardware. Rumor has it that iOS8 will soon add that, so mute point stating that as a benefit of Android. Besides, if you want to speak on multitasking, the MS Surface 3 Pro puts all Android tablets to shame in the area of multitasking.

- Speaking of quality, Apple products the equivalent to ultra premium autos. Others are plastics, produced cheaply to sell at a lower price point, with lesser quality of parts. Essentially, unless you get into higher end products, they are the Walmart of tablets, much like Dell is to PCs.

- The war of devices makes me laugh. If you are a power user/developer, you need all three. Period. I use my Surface to program Windows specific (.NET, Window apps, etc.). I use my Android tablet for testing only when developing Android apps. I use my Mac, and iOS devices for everything else, because after using for many many years.. they are clearly superior in quality, design, style (for my taste). I develop iOS and Windows apps for money, and add in Android apps simply to not leave anyone out. Android is growing, and is on my radar to develop more for, however I know the internals of the OS, and the quality behind iOS.. and it's the clear winner despite ads such as the Wall Huggers, etc. taking cheap shots at the only thing they can.

If the worst thing you can find about the iOS devices is that you have to charge your battery a few hours less... I think Apple is safe to just grin. Besides.. it doesn't take a genius to figure out.. your battery lasts longer because you don't use it as much. Why? Because the apps do not do enough for you, there are not enough apps, etc. Just my opinion there, but does sorta make me smile when the ad brags about battery life. If I didn't/couldn't use my devices as much as the other guy because the apps were not as robust, didn't do as much, and thus did not keep me glued to it more... meh.. I'd think twice about that. Besides, anyone who knows anything about tech knows that the battery life is like processor speed for PCs.. one year one brand ups the limit, the next year it's the other guy.

Brag on.. it is funny. For me it is like a tool chest... I have many tools in there, and I choose the best tool for the job. And despite all the criticism I'll get from iOS bashers... truth is the Apple products (Mac and iOS) simply do more, do it better, are built better, and simply look incredible. That's my 2 cents worth..

I'm getting sick of these adverts, not just Samsung but from other competitors. Why can't they just advertise their products for the features that they have and let it stand on it's own two feet instead of always having to compare it directly with the iPhone 5S or the iPad Air.

And yes, Apple perhaps did start it with the Mac vs PC ads a while back. But the beauty of those ads was that Apple was generic about it, they didn't target specific manufacturers or particular devices. Just shows how desperate the competition must be if they're always attacking specific Apple products directly.

Hate being remind of the limitations in your products do you? You should brace yourself for more sickness because I highly doubt Samsung or any other competitor cares how you feel.

Think about it... This. Is. The. samedung rumor site.

When it comes to these gadgets, you'll find the next iteration of samedung products in what apple did, does, and is rumored to be doing (think samedung ridiculous watches).

iOS 8 isn't here, and a Surface Pro 3 isn't an iPad and when iOS 8 does arrive and have multi-tasking, it's just another feature Apple is copying. They've fallen behind the curve, this is a fact you'll just need to get comfortable with.

Now this last paragraph really says it all...And I agree 100% ...
