Just like the I'm a Mac ads?

Apple's market share in the PC industry at that time was less than 10%. Samsung is dominant in the mobile phone industry. Normally dominant players don't dignify their competition by mentioning them in ads.

Skinny jeans? Lol no thanks. It gets to a point where I shouldn't have to notice a phone in my pocket, I would honestly rather have a smaller phone. I ski almost everyday so having a big phone is not gonna fly at all, the smaller the better.

Do you live atop a snowy peak or something?

Seriously, where do I find this place because my life would be complete if I could snowboard once a week, let alone almost every day!

Thought those were great, I own a Note 3 and an iPad air.
Just reminded of when Apple would poke at MS in their commercials, competition is a good thing, as consumers we will continue to see innovation from it.

Amen to that. Three tabs is too much for it to handle.

And why is this relevant? Would apple introduce any sort of multi window capability (like mac books) without uppint memory to allow for it?

Typically if you have an iPad you have an iPhone. If you absolutely HAVE to do something else while watching a movie use that.

Or, you know... Watch movies on a TV screen and put the damn tablet and phone down and enjoy he film.

Great alternative to multitasking....multidevicing!

I didn't know Samsung made ads for Apple. I don't see how anyone who really knows anything about tech will believe this. Only blind sheep who don't do their research will believe such blatant excuses for features.

Explain please

That's pretty much bs. I would grant a significant portion of this forum has iPads and/or Macs and don't use an iPhone. I am one of those people. I have an iPad, MBA, GS3, Nexus 7, and multiple PC's. Why no iPhone? Size. If Apple gave a choice I might have purchased one.

On topic: I thought the ads were pretty funny and pointed. They took Apple's marketing and flipped it on it's head. The pencil ad was especially good. Some are moaning about Samsung attacking Apple. That's what happens in marketing in the majority of arenas. #1 acknowledges no one, they don't need to do so. #'s 2 - infinity always compare themselves to #1.

I hate these types of ads as well, but let's get real the only reason Apple is successful now is because they spent YEARS unfairly bashing MS and "PCs."

That and they introduced a revolutionary cell phone which now drives the lion's share of their yearly revenue.

Comparisons with competing products is perfectly fine. The problem I have with the ads is that they leave me feeling like "who cares." Samsung's tablet is .01 inches thinner. Great. Who cares. You can crop a picture of Lebron and super impose over a cloud background. Great. Who cares.

Whereas Apple's "bashing" ads tended to resonate. For example, they had an add with a 12 year old kid who set up a brand new iMac and got onto the internet in like 8 minutes. They contrasted that with some college graduate setting up a wintel box. After half an hour, the college grad was done setting up the hardware. Now he had to set up the operating system.

See the difference?

Wait for tablets? I don't follow numbers but would assume iPad is leading by a large margin.

Yes, and interestingly in enterprise ( where the ability to whip open multiple apps at once may be very usefull) the iPad has a 90%+ marketshare..

http://appleinsider.com/articles/14...enterprise-tablets-ios-takes-73-share-overall

Perhaps samsung needs to up multi window? Ideally the pro tab should be able to launch all of its apps at once with tiny windows..3 or 4 are simply too few !

Why is multitasking so important? I keep reading about people replacing their laptops for iPad because there is only one app on the screen at a time and there are no distractions. If one needs multitasking just use a Mac.

As for the larger display, I think it's Samsung desperately throwing some misdirection. Samsung is not capable of making an iPhone sized phone that doesn't have extremely poor battery life. The larger display is necessary to house a larger battery because of Samsung's lesser engineering skills and poorly optimized OS. They are trying to turn their weakness into a strength. I'm not buying it.

When comparing brand to brand, Apple is number 1 in tablets, not phones. iOS is number 1 in neither when comparing against operating systems.

iPhone/Note ad is funny. 'LeBron is literally running away from that screen'.

I think the Apple phablet is inevitable. Just a question of when.

Funny adds. Samsung has had some good ones in the last couple of years. Come on the lineup adds where the hipster said "the cord connects on the bottom" was pretty darn funny. These are better than the rip off add for the their smartwatch.

Of course I'm not buying one of these. My friends who have bought Galaxies have regretted it after awhile because battery life was so bad. The note is a one device solution, but if I was carrying only one device around with me I don't think the battery would make it through the day. And if i'm going to have two devices, it might as well be a iPad Mini and a smartphone (either my iPhone 5 or my BBRY Q10, either will do).

Not HD - huh?

Boy - for a company who manufactures Tv's they sure are ignorant about the HD definition - technically even 720p is HD - Are they trying to portray themselves as a TV manufacturer who has no idea what they are doing?
Besides if the resolution is higher than that of your eyes - wants the point?

simply because its a feature that makes the expereince better..Why use Numbers or excel on a tab? There's a mac for that too..Why make tunes or edit pictures on a ipad? Why use the iPad to shoot movies, their are movie cameras for that too..The point being, having a multi window UI helps on occasions..of course having crappy app optimization on your platforms hurt you much more than having the ability to launch multiple apps at once..Perhaps samsung should start dolling out their enourmous wealth to the developers community to make more optimized apps for its tabs..

I'm sure multi tasking is important. Samsung just hasn't figured out why. Otherwise, their ads would be more articulate about why that feature makes a huge difference.

Who watches lots of video on their iPhone? I can't even remember the last time I did. To me that's not even the best reason to have a larger screen.

Yay, we can haz a stylus to 'shop photos of Lebron into the sky!

Again, not needed on a phone.

Now I do wish that Apple had pressure-sensitive support for stylus on the iPad, as many creatives (including myself) use it as a sketchbook.

And I do wish the iPad had better multitasking. What they're showing is just a rip of Microsoft's snap, but it's hard to consider another way of doing that. Another reason why I think the iPad Pro will have multitasking and a screen aspect ratio that is a little wider. Wider screens are better for multitasking as content can sit side by side. Those who remember going from 4:3 monitors to 16:10 monitors can attest. Suddenly I had room for my photo and toolbars in Photoshop!

To me, the guy in the ads had a horribly annoying voice. Sounded like a jerk.

They talk about how thin it is, but the fact remains that the iPad Air wipes the floor with this thing in benchmarks. Even the iPhone 5S does, and the old iPad 4 even bests it in some situations.

All in on Android.

Dumping all my Apple products. Android is a better ecosystem. :p
