Isn't it great how the recently released phone is better? This is the best time for Samsung to compare.

When Summer's over Samsung will be chasing the iPhone again. I don't think anyone else is close to having a force touch feature - and certainly not with Apple's software Eco-system, which goes across many devices yet isn't fragmented into innumerable hardware platforms like e.g. Android - many of which will never get proper software support for whatever hardware innovations they contain.

This is one feature I would really like. Having used it on android and windows phones, it's very convient. Just like on the apple watch.
What is a little silly is that you still have to take your phone to a pad thats plugged into the wall and you have to leave it there while its charging. At least with the wire you can pick it up and make a call and its still charging.

I'm calling 'gimmick' on wireless charging until it does it from 12 feet away!

These comparisons are pointless, in my opinion, as I choose a device based on the operating system.

If you are an android user, you have some excellent phones, as an iPhone user you have the excellent iPhone.

but that says nothing about the operating systems. If you are an android user you have a buggy operating system. If you are an iPhone user, you have an EXCELLENT operating system

Having never used it, I don't understand wireless charging's appeal. How is it so much better than plugging a cable in, and is it just as fast? Right now it seems like it would be more expensive to implement and more expensive to use (buy the chargers and/or have one readily available). I'm asking a serious question here - what am I missing?

I really don't see any value in Wireless-Charging, exept for showcasing. I mean, if you run out if Battery and lay your phone down to charge it; everytime you take it to check Messages or recieve phone-calls it stops charging.
True wireless Charging should be around like a WiFi network- but then, android Fanboys can say, they had it first.

Disagree. I had a pad at home and at work. When not using my phone, I just placed the phone on it, always knew where the phone was, and no wires. The pads worked on any wireless device, be it android, windows or moto360.

Of course we would love wireless charging without pads, but happy to roll with what is currently achievable at a reasonable cost

I often wish for one side of my iPhone to flash fluorescent colours. Specifically, I think it'll help portray professionalism in the workplace. Plus, it'll go nicely with my company car and new sneakers.

Had to break it to you bud, they are both buggy. My advice to android and apple users, getting a new OS will result in bugs, wait for 2-3 patches in before upgrading. The best And most stable OS is the last release of the previous OS.

I like the colour notification on the edge, thats something you can recognise from a distance, but scrolling through text on the edge when you have a 5+ inch screen??? That is the epitome of ridiculous. Samsung comparing them selves to Apple is a pretty natural thing in the world. You always compare your self to the best

Apple won't implement it until it works better*

I'd say more like Excellent-- - and maybe I'm being generous. Apple's been "working hard" to bring their OSes (both OS X and iOS) down to the level of the competition recently. I don't know what they've changed, but they've obviously done something different internally. If it was for cost savings it was a poor move.

You might want to check prices of apple lightning cables and 3rd party charging pads..... Just saying ;)

Over the years, one of Samsung's major advertising tactics has involved comparing its devices to Apple's iPhones, attempting to point out shortcomings and feature flaws. As of today, Samsung's published two new videos that pit its Galaxy S6 Edge against the iPhone 6, highlighting the device's camera, wireless charging, and curved display.

In the first video, Samsung shows off the dual curved edge of the S6 Edge, which can be used to display information like incoming calls and notifications. "Oooh, check out the edge of the Galaxy S6 Edge," says the voiceover. "It displays colors when your top five contacts call. The edge of the iPhone 6 displays nothing. But it has a vibrate function."

The second video focuses on the Galaxy S6 Edge's ability to charge wirelessly when placed on an included inductive charging mat, and it compares the S6 camera to the camera in the iPhone 6. The S6 and S6 Edge come with a front-facing camera that has a 120-degree wide-angle field of view.

Each of the videos follows up with Samsung's new tagline," 6 > 6," and they both end with the line "Not all smartphones are created equal." Samsung has a long history of mocking Apple products and Apple fans in its advertisements and commercials, so these newest anti-iPhone ads come as no surprise.

Since the launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Samsung has seen a significant profit drop in its mobile division as some customers opted to switch from Samsung devices to larger-screened Apple devices. Before the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, large screen size was one of the major differentiating factors between the iPhone and the Galaxy line of smartphones, but now Samsung must distinguish its products in other ways.

According to Samsung, demand for the Galaxy S6 Edge has been high, and it expects its profits to increase now that its newest devices have been on the market for a few months.

I was going to come here and post how Samsung should really just give it a rest and make up their own things without comparing their products to others. Then I saw your post.

This is what happens when Samsung tries to be original.

Now I have a bit of a migraine and a desire to punch something.

Seriously though, I can't think of any advert series that comes off well when comparing a product against others. I didn't like the Mac vs PC ones much because of exactly this. There's just no need. It inspires a lot more confidence in a product if a company is confident and shows how great their products are - not in comparison to other things, just on their own.
