a great way to be anti-social with friends and family at home.
Apple Watch? Really? Lol, I see them on many wrists throughout the day. Hardly a failure.Like the Pippin, iPod HiFi and Apple Watch, right?

Like the Apple Watch, right?
It's highly unlikely Apple Watch is a money-loser. Sales are estimated at ~33M total, 15M in the last 12 months. Most likely on pace for well over $5B per year in revenue at this time, for most companies that would be an incredibly successful business all by itself.Like the Pippin, iPod HiFi and Apple Watch, right?

Definitely not clear there is a sustainable market at these price points - so far its looked awful, till Oculus went firesale ($199 or $299 or something) sales were dismal.
Microsoft would definitely want to be the OS for this though...but if their vendors can't make any money doing it they'll stop pretty quickly. Most people can't afford a high end video card price for a video card, let alone two of those (one for the video card to power this and one for the VR headset).

Not even sure the HiFi lost money. It certainly didn't light the world on fire, but the development and production costs likely weren't outrageous either.
Pippen, well yeah, but come on, you're going back a long way there (20 years) to the dark days of Apple, lots of bad decisions back then by bad management and if I were Samsung, I certainly wouldn't want to be reassuring myself it's OK because Apple didn't sell many Pippens.

They are very common now and people who have them love them. There are just a lot of people here on Macrumors that made up their mind that it's a failure and are now having a difficult time admitting they were wrong....once again.I’m actually a bit surprised (why I don’t know) at just how many people sporting Apple Watches I see on an average day now.
I remember at launch I was the only person I encountered for a long time who actually had one. Now it seems to be every other person.
You just gotta love the passive aggressive responses you get on these tech forums. All you have to do is mention how one company is producing a terrible product and you'll get a response back from someone saying the same thing about said company's rival. So sad.Like the Pippin, iPod HiFi and Apple Watch, right?

Do you watch tv alone? Play video games alone? If so you are doing no more with the outside world than with a MR/VR headset.Cool let's just ignore the world we are in and be more antisocial
You serious? Apple Watch is not a traditional watch like a Rolex?? How can you compare the two type products? Sorry but a traditional watches holds more value than a 300 digital toy like the apple watch. Give someone an Apple Watch and lets see the value of it in 100 years.
