Yep. There’s a warning in the box this time “careful may explode”.
My worry too since one battery is covered by 2 displays pane.
Adequate cooling ? Long term affect on the displays?
Huawei Mate X is a better implementation .

I’ll get back to you in 3 years when the Samsung note fold plus is announced. Lol.Once you have something (mobile phone) that unfolds to 12.9 inches, let me know, magiccschoolbus
Best option IMO would be to let the tech mature and wait for the price go down to sub 1k levels.
No way I'm going to pay upwards of 2k for something that can break if I drop it, or get stolen if I forget it, or misplace.

Woz said it first. I just repeated it because he’s right. Is that your mantra? "Innovations change lives". That's not what innovation is. It can change lives but that's not a quality of innovation.
On topic: Bending a plastic screen will leave a crease. Who didn't realize that? Samsung should just position the Fold as a proof of concept device, because that's what it is. So are the other fold designs they're going to offer. I see folding phones in the same light as 3D and curved TV's. Flashes in the pan.
You aren’t the measuring stick.A folding phone would change my life.
You aren’t the measuring stick.
Also, a foldable phone that works well and makes sense is the key.
With enough force, I can fold my iPhone X. Doesn’t mean it works.
I’m not.So why are you the measuring stick?
Samsung is trying to see what works. This is obviously a beta. An expensive beta, but still a beta - and they have admitted that.
Looks like they're going to give their users different form factors and see what works. Nothing wrong with that. Choice is good.
Nope, Samsung is also working on a flip phone style folding model.

Plus one that has outer screens like the Huawei.
Instead of deciding on a single style, like Apple would do, Samsung is willing to offer multiple models and let customers decide for themselves.
Or if you never admit it, you’re AppleIf you have to admit fault for a hardware defect BEFORE the product is even released, you’ve clearly failed.
Apple’s first option, Cowen wrote, is to “launch 18 months after 5G competition with an inferior modem from Intel likely without mmWave capabilities,” referring to the band of spectrum that can be used for 5G’s high-speed wireless communications.
My thoughts exactly. This should be done before release."Samsung is experimenting with multiple folding designs to figure out what kind of fold works best with a smartphone/tablet hybrid."
This to me, screams that Samsung didn't engage in exhaustive usability testing and rushed to get first to market.
"Thanks for giving us $1,980 to be a beta tester."
