my boss has a S5 on sprint, sadly sprint i know, however she has to charge her phone at least once thru an 8hr work day. too many emails coming in for the battery not to tank. meanwhile I'm over here with my 5S just making it thru the day with no issue

Coulda fooled me, with your rabid name calling.

But you don't need them, if you have a Samsung device, remember?

Yeah yeah, the old tired refrain: Anyone who disagrees with the awesome intellect in Samsung's advertising messages is automatically a fanboy, and since we can't get it through our heads how awesome Samsung is and how much Apple sucks, we're not worth arguing with. Yet here you are, on the "fanboy" site blithering away because you have an ego to stroke and no one else who'll listen.

I own a samsung monitor, I do not own any of their phones because I think they're poor quality devices.

I'm sorry that Apple didn't innovate this advertisement first, because then you would be able to applaud them for the magical, amazing, incredible, and world-changing way of selling their products.

Aside from waiting weeks to respond, you're conflating the argument. My point isn't about you or what product you own, it's about the conflicted message Samsung is delivering: if you own a Samsung product, you won't need the massive numbers of charging ports that they place all over airports and similar locations, with their branding, presumably so that Samsung users (among others) can charge their devices.

If this is the new marketing tack they're going to take, then they should eliminate the conflict by removing the charging islands. That's the point I was making, nothing more.

If you're going to dig up a dead thread, at least stick to the topic at hand.

Again, I never stated either way whether Samsung's message was "innovative" or not, nor did I express an opinion that Apple's ads are always on point (quite the contrary, in fact). The message is simply conflicted, and I suggested a way to mitigate the conflict.

You do realise you can charge any device at one of these stations? They are not just limited to Samsung devices. Its just that Samsung provide it for the free publicity. Great marketing if you ask me.

I won't dignify that specific question with a response.

Altruistic as such a gesture appears, it's disincentivizing the very audience that Samsung claims has a problem with needing charging ports. Don't give them free power if you feel that by buying one of your awesome power-sipping devices, they shouldn't need it.

That's my opinion. Feel free to disagree, but please have a better argument than a silly question meant to insult my intelligence.

seems like someone is taking an ad at a charging station too personally to me.

Unless Samsung can cite amazing battery life for their top-end devices, they have no business with these scurrilous ads.
