I'd love for Samsung to explain why the S4 I use for development, which has NO SIM CARD in it, manages to last no more than 36 hours before the battery is dead.

Pissing Me Off

Personally, Samsung is just pissing me off. I used to actually love their products - their TVs are beautiful, and I love my 75" big screen.

But, all the Apple bashing is really turning me off to them ... and making me look to consider alternatives when I make purchases.

Perhaps part of their revenue problem is backlash to their negative advertising.

Stay classy and build great products. That should speak for itself.

We? You're speaking on behalf of all iPhone users?

Well, he said "we" iPhone users have to charge phones as a matter of reality. If you feel you wish to not be included in that group, i assume you have an iPhone that never needs to be charged? wasn't aware such existed!

lol that's dumb. At first glance that just tells me it's a socket for a Samsung.

Interesting. I'm at the airport right now and across from me there are four people who are charging their iPhones lol. Maybe they're right

This whole debate makes me curious....
I see all this back and forth about who sees how many users on phones charging.... but as there are far more people physically in possession of iPhones than of any other phone in existence... how could there logically ever be anything BUT more iPhone users charging devices on average.

Doesn't that picture actually demonstrate that the iPhones charge faster than every device on there except two...? Or am I reading it wrong?

Anyway, this back and forth argument is old, there are just as many Android users desperately unhappy with their batteries as there are iPhone users. Personally, I'd rather see Samsung try and sell what's good about their phone beyond battery life, since I've yet to actually be tempted to buy a phone solely for how long I can go before charging it.

I was hoping to illustrate that the charge time difference was hardly "A LOT" the variance is like 40 minutes

Seriously? I can't think of a single reason to choose iOS over Android, except for personal preference. And if you prefer Android over iOS it doesn't matter what Apple releases, there is something to match (and probably trump) it in the Android camp.

As a small business owner i can give you some GREAT reasons. Try having employees install software that has to sync across multiple devices, and have the ability to stay up to date... when you have chosen Android as a platform, and all your employees have different Android phones, and have different versions of Android on all of those Android phones, and different versions of software on each of those Android phones. I can tell you first had... it's a royal pain in the ass. Not that you will care in the slightest way.

That is actually not true. Can tell you don't actually use android phones.

I actually have. It just happened to be an HTC One M7. lol. It was the worst.

As much as I hate them, I'll only buy a Samsung tv. They easily have the best picture quality. Anywhere I go, no matter what else is there, the Samsung tv's are easy to spot.

If they are truly confident that their users don't need wall outlets, then they should turn words into action and remove all of these:

Why pay for something that only your competitor needs?

its funny because if i were in an airport using an iPhone, i might even stay away from that charger, thinking it was only for samsung devices :D

The amount of denial in this thread is astonishing.

I sit in a small office with around 10 people. Not one of the iPhone users (4s, 5, 5s) last half a day without having to charge their iPhone. I admit there are two with a Galaxy S4 and they sometime have to charge at the end of the day.

Im at 50% after around 2 hours of screen time, 14 hours off charge, by the time I get home... Note 3.

12 steps people.

My 5s has a ultra power saving mode. Its called airplane mode or shutting off the phone. Which is probably the same thing the galaxy does to sip power.

Not even close! I'm on a gs5 now on ultra power mode and posting this on a 4G lte conection.I also have fb conected and can make calls and text people.

Can you do that on airplane mode?

Ps my battery stat says I have 12 days left the way I'm using the phone now.

Good luck with your 5s in airplane mode lol

I have a Samsung TV too. White the display is good, it takes longer to boot up than a retina MacBook Pro, and the invisible non-mechanical buttons on the front are nearly useless. It also takes too long to change inputs or channels, as do most TVs these days.

If your iPhone causes you to be tethered to the wall in large public venues, it's a sign. It's not a sign that you need to buy a Samsung. It's a sign that you need to spend less time staring at your phone.

THIS. Perhaps Android users just don't use their phones as much? Most of the people I'm around, their iPhones are always in their face, the people who use Android, not as much.

I've never had a complaint about battery life because my face isn't in it 24/7 making tweets, pokes, posts, nervous app switching, email, more Facebook, more twitter, re face booking and re twittering. It's sad when a table full of friends no longer talk…….they're all just on their phones.

So realistic

I can just see all the college students switching to black and white screens, limiting their Apps and disabling LTE - I'll take an outlet please.

(Dam, those 'Wall-huggers' are everywhere .....)

Again, I point out, they fail to mention the mo-fie case.

Samsung are quick to pull the rug from Apple, but they fail on so many other levels to prove a point.

Really? My iPhone 5S is dead mid-day? So all this time, that i have been using my phone while i'm out on the road, talking on it, using it to check emails, update accounting software, dispatch with my employees, etc.... this whole time it has been dead half the day and I was not aware of it....??? Crap. I better have an employee meeting and find out all of the stuff I thought i had communicated with them the last 11 months during the afternoon, and get it all squared away. And I better start taking a look at the screen more carefully, so that i can realize that it is in fact dead and I haven't even been realizing it.

Indeed. The context for these ads is that all these users are about to board airplanes. The two most likely uses for your phone on the plane (assuming you are not going to have internet) is to listen to music, or watch a movie. If it's the former, then battery life is not a concern for ANY modern phone. They all would last longer than any conceivable flight. If it is a movie... really, you want that in black and white?

Funny how easily people get upset over here!

If you are to see this ad, on it's own, you should be smart enough to figure out it doesn't just target iPhones. Actually, the iPhone isn't even mentioned.

:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

Clever ad, just no clever people on here ;)

Lte is disabled when the phone sleeps and is on when used.I just typed this post on ultra power mode on verizon 4G lte network

Maybe u should research before you hate on it

Everyone I know with a galaxy, is always complaining about poor battery life. So I don't know what this is supposed to prove.

Well you can just swap your battery with a Galaxy. You don't have to plug your phone in to charge it.
