What do you mean? They have 41% of the US market but way less in the rest of the world.
Well... yes i was referring to the US market in particular, Europe in the secondary. For example here is US market share by maker:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2014/06/04/apples-u-s-iphone-market-share-holding-steady/
So if you are in a US airport, yes... statistically you are certain to see more iPhones than any other phone. (And not I am saying than any other phone. I am NOT saying than Android).
You are confused. I never made any such comment.
LOL yep...
My other laugh is that I'm the guy at work who gets by on one charge.
All the Samsung users have huge screens and quad-core CPUs so HAVE to recharge 1/2 way through the day or leave their phones constantly plugged in while at work.
If Samsung's phones had amazing battery life then it might at least be an accurate portrayal. Yes I know their phones have bigger batteries BUT... the curve for bigger screen/battery isn't linear.
I guess slapping your stickers over an airport isn't called 'defacing' when a company pays you a squillion dollars to do so.

I think this is trying to make people thing that Samsung has better battery life. Even though their phones are 50% larger than Apple's they only manage around 4% better battery life. While an iPhone with a battery case lasts more than 2 and a half times longer than the Galaxy S5
This is why it is smart advertising for Samsung. The eyeballs most likely to see it are those using a phone other than a Samsung. Personally I don't see what the big whoopla is. Many users care more about using what they know than anything else.
Android as a whole has more market share then apple even in the USA.
You guys are comparing Samsung alone to apple and not all the other android flagships.the old moto droid max easily blows the doors of the 5s in battery life and that cell is 2plus years old
Bad math and an explanation that agrees with Samsung. I would not want you defending me.
Add a battery case to the Samsung and you're right back at the better battery life for the Samsung. You didn't think that one through did you?![]()
I agree with you on that point. And i never said i thought it was not good advertising. In fact, it probably is very effective.

Well you are missing our point entirely. I explicitly stated i was NOT talking about Android market share. We were discussing which phones we see more of in the wild, at airports. We were not discussing which operating systems we see more of in the market share. So again.... Apple has 41% of smartphones in the wild in the US. Samsung has 26.1%. So Apple has 60% more phones than it's nearest competitor, in the wild. So statistically, you will see more iPhones charging in the wild than any other phone. NOT TALKING AT ALL ABOUT OPERATING SYSTEM.
p.s. while typing this reply, my Macbook Air died. It's battery life has never impressed me.
Starting to wonder if some of u really are brainwashed by apple. Samsung has one thing on the iPhone and that is being able to pull ur dead battery and put another fully charged one in. My iPhone 5 gets terrible charge and is always hooked in.
I work concert festivals and the people charging the most at them are people like me with a iPhone.
Can u imagine if dewalt or Mikita came out with a drill with a battery that couldn't be charged and swapped for a fresh battery? They never would of made it in the construction world.
Open your eyes! Samsung I'm sorry is right!
I love apple products but the iPhone is the worst one of my apple products as far as battery life goes. I think my MacBook Pro 15" gets better life.![]()
This is all so funny. I guess they should not even list a phone's features on its box. Or what software you can run on it. Or what you can do with it. I mean, only battery life matters, right? They should just all come in a nondescript box, with no photos, no text... other than the number of minutes the phone can last turned on.
In fact, a lot of flip phones get much better battery life, right? So by that logic we should abandon both iOS and Android. And go with an old flip phone.

You are absolutely right. My iPhone has been absolutely wonderful for me, and does everything that I need it to do. Including that I have no battery issues. But your android phone lets you switch the battery. I see your point now completely. I will sell my iPhone tomorrow and switch. I'm sure i will be much much happier with 15% more battery, and the ability to carry a second battery in my pocket. Even though I never need it. Thanks!
p.s. i'm only here because i'm bored. and my wife is not here, and i have nothing to do. I'm fully aware you guys are trolls (i've been a member here for a very long time), and are paid to be here writing your crap. i just find it amusing sometimes.
I can put my 100% charged iPhone 5 on my night stand and wake up in the morning and be at 10%. What is he doing all night?
I always say well at least one of us had fun last night.
I don't think you get the numbers right apple does not have 60% more then samsung it only has 40% total and basically android has the other 60% with Samsung eating up 27% of that 60%
We don't see people with lg g2s and g3 along with HTC ones using outlets and mostly apple phones because of the ever so small batteries in them
Most android phones now are all using 2400-3100mah batteries and are way out lasting apple in the real world with low signal strength and what not
I honestly don't see androids plugged in but walk into any bar at night and just notice how many iPhone are plugged in from customers having drinks there.
I love watching all you get your panties in a bunch over this stuff. I hope I'm never so narrow minded that I cling to one brand. Samsung and pretty much every Android phone has the iPhone beat in battery life, maybe not in battery efficiency, but definitely in overall battery life.
Yes if Apple were to put a 3,000mah battery in an iPhone with the same current optimizations it would likely beat an Android phone, but they don't and that's the problem.
I'll bet money a lot of it has to do with location, and cell reception. When i'm at home (San Diego) I get decent battery life. When I travel to some other cities... I often get much worse battery life. I've always assumed that it's because my carrier gets worse coverage there... and has to expend a lot more energy searching for signal.... etc.
Haha, you aren't very good at this. Read the graph sloooowly and carefully. Apple has 41% of marketshare of PHONES. Samsung has 26.1% of PHONES. 41% is 60% more than 26.1%. You are confusing yourself trying to mix operating system marketshare with this graph, which has absolutely nothing to do with operating system market share.
But seriously, how well do they pay you to write this stuff on here? $3/hour (what's that... about 120 rupees)?
this may be true - I can't really say for sure. I have Rogers which has decent coverage in Toronto and battery life is still bad. when I travel to Europe I use a FONIC sim which does have poor coverage so this may be contributing to the problem. Plus I use Maps a lot when I travel which as I understand drains the battery quickly too. But I would argue that this is irrelevant. This is how a smartphone is supposed to be used after all. what good is it if it's always off or is only used to make calls and only in areas with good coverage? If a phone can't last a day on a single charge with regular usage - that's the definition of poor battery life as far as I am concerned.
I'm going to guess you failed in math.
Apple 40%
Samsung 27%
HTC 7%
Lg 6%
Moto 6%
