Samsung Galaxy S II Here I Come!!! And I don't even like Android!!

I'd wait until October 11th before jumping anywhere.

True. I might just do that.

Definitely waiting til next Tuesday before buying anything. But I fear it may be a while before whatever is announced will be available. My 3G is barely alive...I won't be holding out more than a couple of weeks. Looks like GS2 if Prime isn't available by the end of the month.

What happens on the 11th?

you're using the original galaxy s II.

there has been an update to it, the galaxy s II lte, which is a spec bump of your phone. its the iP4S of Android phones :)

Im pretty sure it's the only one thats been released in the UK.

Larger screen = nice to work on, not so nice in the pocket.
Go ahead and get your Samsung, no one cares.

For the Nexus Prime, I know there isn't a ton of info available, but does anybody know if it's rumored to be thinner than the Nexus S? I hate the look of that phone, just way too thick.

Im in the same boad, already have the 4. Dont need it again. I got my iPad 2 for my A5 and iOS needs and consider thr Nexus Prime or the updated Samsung Galaxy S 2 HD if it becomes international

see you when you switch back. The iPhone 4 screen is a lot better than they S2 screen. Switching for the screen makes no sense.

The screen size rumor is the biggest reason why I waited for the announcement. I just can't stand the 3.5in for consuming media and web browsing anymore. Although the S2 has a lower resolution, I've read that it's still quite comparable since it's a Super AMOLED Plus display. Guess I'll see if the Atrix 2 is coming out before I decide between the two phones.

It doesn't seem that bad. Nice spec bump but nothing special. Dissapointed that there were no design changes and bump in screen size. I've been wanting a phone that supports both GSM and CDMA as i'm planning to study abroad iin South Korea which uses CDMA (and i live in a GSM based country) so the iPhone 4s does seem like a good choice and i've never owned an iPhone before. However, i think i may pass on this one as there are clearly alot better choices out there (FOR ME).

I could care less for the camera since i'm a photographer and i bring my 5D mark II wherever i go. Siri sounds cool but it's similar to Google Voice just more fine tuned and smarter lol.

Bursted out in laughter when i was reciting what tim Cooks said about how competition tries to rip off the iPhone at the beginning and then at the end showing the 4S. Notifications like iOS5 was done years ago on Android, Google voice has too.

The thing is, Apple popularized alot of stuff, Android does it better now and people go ahead and call Google copycats when Apple is clearly doing the same thing and been doing it since the iPhone 4. Each company innovates and steals ideas from each other, and apple does too. So people and Apple can **** about google copycats. Try to innovate apple, not sue.

Can we expect a 4G iPhone next year? which is of course dubbed 4G to keep syntax. After that we'll see an 4GS, again to keep syntax. lol

Siri, get me information about Nexus Prime and it's price & availability.

What is the "innovation" in the Nexus Prime?

We could start with the buttons do you know how much room that is going to free up design wise. A 4.6 screen will feel like a 3.8 in your hand.

I could also bet that these buttons will have customization where you can set them or view them any way you want. I like that a lot.
Opera mini has on screen buttons and it's awesome.

I believe Google got this idea from the manufactures who put skins on Android. Some screens would have a on screen HOME button.

Maybe it's not a huge innovation but it's still better then that same old round recessed button ( That breaks)!

I'm sure the SGS2 is a sick phone. And I'm just as disappointed as everyone else today. But if you love and have grown accustomed to iOS, you will just be wasting your time.

I'd LOVE to go get this phone, but I know Android isn't iOS so I know I won't be happy with it. Once they untether JB iOS 5, I think that ought to hold me over and help me be content for a bit.

This is my first post!!

I opened an account on Macrumors approx a week back just to read iPhone 5 rumors and to like/dislike. I don't even remember how many hours I wasted on reading iPhone rumors and fascinating over the phone. But after today I am truly disappointed. This is my first (and perhaps last) post on Macrumors. I just want to say that I want to kick all those Apple presenters' a**. And those blind sighted fanboys surely share the blame equally. I am sure the iPhone 4s would sell as well (if not more than the existing iPhone 4). But I am surely getting a GSII.

This is So disappointing. I'm tired of straining my eyes on the iPhone's tiny screen. I guess i'll be getting the Galaxy S II, and like I said I don't even like Android.:confused:

I am seriously considering the Samsung Prime now.
All Apple had to do was put some effort into making a different body. The current design is nice but it is stale. It is last year's model.
