Hate to say it but...
Burned Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Still More Innovative than the iPhone 7.
Innovative? By becoming up in smoke?

I would also hope this thread doesn't turn this into an Apple vs Samsung/Android debate. People have their preference.
Yeah and they got burned by the innovation.Hate to say it but...

I believe their brand has been damaged for good. Imagine a Mom with a newly born picking out her next smartphone.
Husband: "Shall we get the Samsung, the LG, the iPhone or the Google phone? I think we should get the Samsung, I hear they fixed the issue where you wake up surrounded by smoke."
Wife: "Pardon?"
I doubt very seriously Samsung will be bringing out any phone "early" anytime soon. If the S8 or whatever succeeds the Note 7 has any sort of flaw, Samsung Mobile is toast.Time to start over and bring out the Note 8 early.
Or please... hurry up with the folding phablets!
You're right, it IS a big deal especially for us Apple shareholders. ;-) Y E S !!Ignoring all the jokes and whatnot, this is actually a pretty big deal. Good thing Samsung are taking action, but one has to wonder whether it's too late. From a PR standpoint, that is. Obviously it's bad, but how bad, only time will tell I guess.
Good thing is that the material damages, while substantial, haven't been any more severe.
Only Apple gets the "gate" suffix.Um....has no one seriously said Firegate?
Oh did I just miss it.
Please tell me I missed it.

Right, if anything, recall-gate would be fitting since they managed to screw-up the screw-upOnly Apple gets the "gate" suffix.
Samsung doesn't have the same kind of following.
I think the whole Galaxy brand is in danger now, not just note sub brandReally wonder if the Note brand will survive at all, really wouldn't surprise me to see them completely rebrand their S-Pen-capable phones to something else.
LMAO.Right, if anything, recall-gate would be fitting since they managed to screw-up the screw-up![]()
Shame. I'm all for competition so this makes me worry for Samsung's future. Heck, in my Health Econ class today my prof slid an exploding Samsung joke into the lecture.
Recall-gate-gate then?Right, if anything, recall-gate would be fitting since they managed to screw-up the screw-up![]()
I'll have what you're smoking.Even the Galaxy Note 2 from 2012 is a better pocketable version of iPad Pro which is better than iPhone 7 Plus.
Yeah, maybe thats why they did this:I'm quite certain that if you did some research you would discover it's not that bad. Samsung Mobil is one of over 40 different divisions of Samsung. Unlike Apple, Samsung is far more diverse, and has the ability to recover from this within a year. Fix whatever the issue/issues are. Slow down, improve how your Teams Communicate with each other. No more Engineers sleeping in their office to meet impossible deadlines (Biggie Here.) Release basically the same product designed correctly this time in 6-8m as the Note 8.![]()

It's got the best screen on the market. It's also got the nicest multitasking available in a smartphone (though this point may be considered subjective). Unfortunately it's also lighting on fire. Hopefully this st least translated to screens just as nice in future releases.Innovative? By becoming up in smoke?![]()
train wreck!
Um....has no one seriously said Firegate?

...and a removable battery, to make next year's recall much more efficient.Don't worry—the Note 8 is rumored to have a fireproof body.
