proof?
He doesn't have any proof.
Just paid to disseminate FUD just like Samsung did it in Taiwanese forums to spread lie about newcoming HTC phones. Got caught, though.
proof?
Facts:
Steve Jobs would have never let a product go to market with a camera that's not flush.
LOL really?!?! not sure I know ANY of my 25yr old sons friends that have an iPhone without a cracked screen. (multiple times)
I bet the 6s will be out faster than usual and that it will have the following.
-Fixed the bend issue
-Have a bigger battery or more efficient processor that extends battery life quite a bit.
-Flush camera
Has there ever been an S line with a design change? I'm guessing this could be the first if there hasn't
Very true! It's very much the odd one out. I'm not sure if the 5C was intentionally "cheap looking" to differentiate it from the higher cost 5S, or just more colourful to appeal to a younger audience (who would also likely be buying the less expensive models). Either way, it seems to be the more practical design.
Well you've had it for less than a week ... Come back to us in 6 months and we'll see if any prolonged exposure has caused it to bend.
And yet everyone bagged on the 5C because it was plastic and people made fun of Jony Ive for calling it "unapologetically plastic". That phone certainly wasn't form over function.
proof?
I am using iPhone 5C... The best iPhone ever produced. I like the heft and the build quality. Only complain is iPhone 5C looks ugly when filled with fingerprints and smugs.
Those phones don't bend because they spend most of their time on the shelves, not in the consumers' pocket.
Yes because here in MR we don't give a $&@(%Y@) about SS phone or other phones, though I don't deny that "some" Android phones out there are worth trying.
Don't know why people keep whinning. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
You know my daughter loves putting my 5c in her back pocket and walking around like some teenager - she's only 8.
These are all harmless pokes at apple. These companies (except Samsung) could use the publicity. The sad part is that despite these jabs, I don't think it will cause anyone interested in a 6+ to choose one of these other phones. At best it will reassure owners of those devices that they made a good choice.
I'm wondering if the alleged sapphire glass fiasco played a factor...
So you think this was all some kind of conspiracy?
We live in a social world where people will share their experiences very quickly. News travels fast.
Frankly, it's completely unacceptable. I have always kept my phone in my pocket for years, now if I got this phone I'd suddenly have to stop?
"You're pocketing it wrong"?
and see I think their TV's are put to shame by Sony who offers a wider and more true color pallet in their LED sets. Samsungs are too punchy and crisp tot he point of over processed in appearance. I ran the two side by side and even had them both calibrated. Sony won.
I don't understand why being an Apple fan means sticking your head in the ground whenever Apple clearly makes poor design choices (picking thickness over strength/battery life)
Why is that sad?
I hadn' thought of that. Perhaps this would have been less an issue if they had the sapphire glass to give it more strength. We could be looking at a flaw borne of necessity (can you imagine the impact of Apple not launching a new phone in the fall?). Tough business decision to sacrifice brand image to keep up with other expectations. There may not have been a "right" call here.
Just how?! I mean it's not as though Apple don't spend enough on R&D - didn't ANYONE at Apple just think to pick it up and try to bend it? They must have dropped a fair few in testing. Surely, there must be someone there with a wicked streak who would have just bent one out of curiosity!!! This is a pretty poor show. And with all the other stuff happening in tandem - an iPhone 6+ and iOS 8 together look like a bit of laughing stock right now. I hope that this all gets fixed before we know it...
