Facts:

Steve Jobs would have never let a product go to market with a camera that's not flush.

I'm just going to stop you right there, as you are totally 100% wrong and that invalidates everything you are trying to say. Steve Jobs was certainly alive and aware of the ipod touch with it's protruding camera that is now 2 years old.

Try again please, apple is innovating as much as ever with apple pay and apple watch, and there were hiccups and mini fails all the time with Jobs in charge.

LOL really?!?! not sure I know ANY of my 25yr old sons friends that have an iPhone without a cracked screen. (multiple times)

Probably because they drop them.

I was never bothered sitting on my 4S but was always afraid of dropping it every time I handled it (because there's no point in the design if you're going to hide it in a case).

The most beautiful design, but not practical at all (typical Apple)

I bet the 6s will be out faster than usual and that it will have the following.

-Fixed the bend issue

-Have a bigger battery or more efficient processor that extends battery life quite a bit.

-Flush camera

Has there ever been an S line with a design change? I'm guessing this could be the first if there hasn't

If that happens then it's really going to *** things up.

Very true! It's very much the odd one out. I'm not sure if the 5C was intentionally "cheap looking" to differentiate it from the higher cost 5S, or just more colourful to appeal to a younger audience (who would also likely be buying the less expensive models). Either way, it seems to be the more practical design.

Its a proof that Ive is losing it.

And yet everyone bagged on the 5C because it was plastic and people made fun of Jony Ive for calling it "unapologetically plastic". That phone certainly wasn't form over function.

I am using iPhone 5C... The best iPhone ever produced. I like the heft and the build quality. Only complain is iPhone 5C looks ugly when filled with fingerprints and smugs.

Suck it up Yve! You forgot to create a small 3mm ridge along the battery compartment to increase longitudinal rigidity. Better hurry up and impliment the change for the next 25 mil 6plus.

Yes but it looks better than any other iPhone when it's clean and shining.

My brand new i6+ doesn't bend the slightest. All the bs crap these android dookie devices can go f a goat. Apple sells more than they do and I absolutely stand by their products. Haters are in full force.

Those phones don't bend because they spend most of their time on the shelves, not in the consumers' pocket.

Yes because here in MR we don't give a $&@(%Y@) about SS phone or other phones, though I don't deny that "some" Android phones out there are worth trying.

Don't know why people keep whinning. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Thank you!

I found a fix for the 6+, just glue a few of these at the back!

These are all harmless, fun pokes at apple. These companies (except Samsung) could use the publicity. The sad part is that despite these jabs, I don't think it will cause anyone interested in a 6+ to choose one of these other phones. At best it will reassure owners of those devices that they made a good choice.

Why is that sad?

I'm wondering if the alleged sapphire glass fiasco played a factor...

I hadn' thought of that. Perhaps this would have been less an issue if they had the sapphire glass to give it more strength. We could be looking at a flaw borne of necessity (can you imagine the impact of Apple not launching a new phone in the fall?). Tough business decision to sacrifice brand image to keep up with other expectations. There may not have been a "right" call here.

Hopefully this will scare people off, so I can have my iPhone 6 Plus delivered here before christmas.

So you think this was all some kind of conspiracy?

We live in a social world where people will share their experiences very quickly. News travels fast.

No, its fine, I am paranoid.
I am sure that the guy in cotton trousers just sat with metal phone in his FRONT cotton pockets and melted the metal with his body heat and bent the phone with documented force exceeding hundreds of pounds just sitting idly.

I am paranoid, thank you.

Frankly, it's completely unacceptable. I have always kept my phone in my pocket for years, now if I got this phone I'd suddenly have to stop?

"You're pocketing it wrong"?

There was guy in another thread telling me to take a physics class.

So I think the idea is, if you want to know whether you can keep your phone in your pocket, you need to take a physics class.

and see I think their TV's are put to shame by Sony who offers a wider and more true color pallet in their LED sets. Samsungs are too punchy and crisp tot he point of over processed in appearance. I ran the two side by side and even had them both calibrated. Sony won.

Samsung makes a solid TV, their UHD a are great, their top of the line plasmas was as well, still Panny is king of all and those new one they have coming out soon that will match plasma but in a lcd is going to be killer. And how did the Sony win? Due to your opinion? I've had Sony, Samsung and Panny TVs all are great and each has its pros over the other, but IMHO Panny makes the best TVs right now.

I don't understand why being an Apple fan means sticking your head in the ground whenever Apple clearly makes poor design choices (picking thickness over strength/battery life)

See that's the thing everyone seems to be missing if carrying a phone conveniently in your pocket is the TOP priority for someone, then get a smaller device. If having a small computer (laptop replacement) with you all the time is your TOP priority, then get a larger device and figure how to better transport it. Last I checked there were still multiple size phones out there so folks can pick what they want and what best fits THEIR needs. Does not make one or the other a "design flaw" but rather a choice.

Carrying groceries in a grocery sack is typically how you transport groceries but you probably would not carry a load of bricks in that same sack. More than likely common since would dictate using a wheelbarrow instead.

I thought of that as well but is it true that sapphire bends less than gorilla glass?

Just how?! I mean it's not as though Apple don't spend enough on R&D - didn't ANYONE at Apple just think to pick it up and try to bend it? They must have dropped a fair few in testing. Surely, there must be someone there with a wicked streak who would have just bent one out of curiosity!!! This is a pretty poor show. And with all the other stuff happening in tandem - an iPhone 6+ and iOS 8 together look like a bit of laughing stock right now. I hope that this all gets fixed before we know it...

It wasn't that apple didn't test it, they just decided to only make it that strong, which obviously a bunch of people have a problem with that choice.
