Just read the ToS. Basically at any time your device stops working (without inclusion of reasons) you are responsible for 100% of the item. Um, but what if its a manufacturer defect? Sorry, but this just sounds like a promotion gone wrong already.

It also does not state a release of ownership at any time after the trial period either if you decide to purchase it.

Someone has anger issues I see. You're being very touchy about one comment. You know that term is used as hyperbole all the time, but you can't. Get over it, then you can "go away" too.
Whatever, Mr. my 4S works as smoth as silk, (when we all know that’s a crock). If you think so you must just be using it to tell the time.
Go to a web page and load up a PDF of a couple of megs or more and watch it choke as you scroll through it.

Really? You think Apple didn't go after Microsoft? Maybe you missed the whole I'm a Mac, I'm a PC campaign. If that wasn't fighting over marketshare with Microsoft, I really don't know what is. And the point is a combination of the three. It's not one vs all the others. Not in good business anyway.

And lastly - no phone, toaster, car, etc "just works." Every device has has its quirks. And every device has a learning curve. Last time I checked, a lot of iCloud services were having issues. Just works? ;)

I have been following Apple on a daily basis for the past 15 years or so. I also read a lot about the history. When Steve Jobs came back, he put Gates on the screen as an investor in Apple and made it clear that they will co-exist with Microsoft. Apple was not fighting for #1. They had no plan for OS X to be the dominant OS in PCs.

That campaign was to gain more market share and emphasizes Apple feature. Unlike their efforts in the smartphone market and digital media, Apple never had an intention to make OS X beat Windows in market share.

You should probably reread the T/Cs. There is an entire section dedicated to defects and repairs.

"

No need for a test drive. I've already had my experience with Android, slow, buggy, bloated, manufacturers putting their own usually crappy skin on the system. I had a "flagship" Android phone and waited months after Lollipop had released for an update...got fed up with waiting, went to the T-Mobile store and picked up my first iPhone and haven't looked back.

I finally broke the camel's back the last time I dropped my iPhone 5 and now I've got a few vertical bars on the touch screen that are affecting input on that side of the screen, basically half of the screen. I don't know anyone with a spare iPhone, so I figured I'd take the test drive until the new iPhones are released. Better be careful with it though. And will this affect my Verizon plan at all?

Figure it is worth a shot. Haven't used a Samsung phone since my Captivate when I swore them off. Hopefully they have improved a lot since then. Should be fun to play around with for a few weeks.
As a lover of all tech I can assure you that Samsung of today is nothing like Samsung of a few years ago..

In the case of putting your sim card into another device, it's never going to just magically drop off. You aren't buying a subsidized device and you're not agreeing to a plan change.

I know the plan does not just magically fall off, but I have read and heard in the past that putting an iPhone sim, with the iPhone unlimited data plan into a blackberry or android can cause problems on the AT&T side and you might lose the data plan. Figured its worth asking, than just changing the sim and risking it

Yeah. Ok. I don't even know how to respond to you or your need to throw out "credentials" on why your opinion would be more valid.

I liken your response (tangential I know) to those that think Apple wasn't really interested in having an ad service (iAds) compete with Google, etc - but it was all (mostly) to give back to developers, etc. Truth was - they just weren't/aren't (to date) successful at that. Not from a lack of trying or desire. They just made it extremely difficult for brands and agencies.

I don't think it's accurate to suggest that Apple was "never" interested in supplanting Microsoft's marketshare.

Good idea. But a month is a little short for a longterm iphone user to really understand the pros of Android OS. Trust me I went back and forth a few times myself. Anybody doing this make sure you try using a different launcher I'm a big fan of trusted and true Nova launcher. Touchwiz launcher ain't the greatest.

Oh and get ready for a bit of a learning curve but eventually a more efficient user interface. As in faster to action things or get to things. iOs needs to catch up on the simple stuff to make it efficient to use again.

I order mine, I just put in some random information and used my $500 credit limit card for that $1 charge. If don't return the phone I wonder how they will go after me.

Cue collections calls/agencies and worse criminal complaint alleging theft by intent to deceive, defraud or violate the terms of a binding payment agreement

Out of everything you can do on the phone two minutes sealed it, go to the movies and rate a film after two minutes also do you? Please let me know the next time you try out something new as I think I’d enjoy reading your in depth and impartial world renowned reviews.
Yes, because the overall user experience of a phone is a fair comparison to seeing the first 2 minutes of a movie

Yea no thanks Samsung I've had enough bad Android experience and Samsung experience as well as known others that have so I'll pass

Saving my $1 towards the 6S , 6S+, ( 6C if/when that happens ) or maybe waiting till the iPhone 7 either way $1 less to Sammy $1 more to Apple $ XXX.XX to go :p

Which will only fuel the OP's to suggest that Samsung sucks because they are going after him for their money/product...

Well that will ultimately be Sammy's problem not mine. I'll just sit back and maybe moderately enjoy the comments/complaints particularly the most amusing ones lol :p

I actually am curious how well these devices are in my area. My iPhone never has service where I live, yet my neighbors with Android do. I have a brand new iPhone 6+, and replaced it 2x with the same results. Verizon is all red on the map for my territory as well, just can't figure it out.

Also, Siri sucks, always says lost internet connection even though it's full bars.

I'm confused though. It says it comes with an activated sim. Doesn't that mean it comes with its own service and I don't have to transfer my sim? Last thing I wanna do is screw something up with my sim and lose my unlimited data.

I would NOT Trust it for a moment. Would NEVER Put my SIM into a phone not tailored to a branded Data plan nor put a SIM into a phone if the plan tied to it doesn't specifically allow smartphones ( which I'm 99% sure old Unlimited plans DO NOT )

It's the network not the phone do your neighbors also have Verizon?

If so I'd say Verizon isn't capable of handling your phone

If they don't have Verizon that would just hammer home my point and opinion of Verizon sucking
