I always prefer not to use these man-in-the-middle payment methods, that way more money stays with sellers, but sometimes they are handy.

Handling cash is surprisingly expensive, so this is only really true if a seller is doing something shady.

I am a little unclear. Can I use multiple cards for one transaction? The way the article is phrased it sounds like a can divide up a purchase between cards. That would be really cool. Like a business trip where food is paid by the company but drinks are paid by employees.

It sounded to me like it will transfer the whole transaction, not allow you to break it up.

I check Mac Rumors regularly to see if there's any speculation about Apple Card launching in the UK, but I haven't read anything about it in ages. I wonder what the hold up is?
I used to check Mac Rumors for Apple Cash news in the EU too, but I've long lost hope.

Keep going, we always need alternatives for a healthy consumer market.

Healthy would be original market entires.

Samsung usually delivers apple knockoffs.

That's like saying knockoff Channnnel bags found in the backstreets are great for a health consumer market.

LOL!

I dont think so, they still have to be your cards anyways. If you are suggesting putting all of your employees cards on your phone so you can split it 10 ways..... then I hope they trust you as much as you've been trusting Apple lately :p

That's correct. Curve basically links all of your existing cards to one card number, and can you switch between them at any point in the app to decide which of your cards is used. You can even switch it after you've made the transaction if you decide you want to use a different card. It's great it you have a lot of cards, say for a personal, joint and business account.

Isn't Apple always dealing with having to borrow programmers from different departments to meet deadlines. I swear we see reports of Pro apps being delayed because that staff was put on fixing iOS or something.
Well, they have been on a hiring spree. But in software, throwing more programmers onto a problem, often just delays it.

The real question is which one of these companies will be the first to release [Apple/Samsung] Paycheck.

"Give us your money and [Siri/Bixby] will tell you if you're spending it wisely!"
I mean, if I could take some of my paycheck, pretax, and put it on my AppleCard... sign me up...

Sorry, but Samsung had NFC in their phones long before Apple.

Samsung, like Sony, is a checklist-engineering type of company. They don't care how well something works, but only care that they can advertise about it.

Can't wait for them to find a way to blame the customer for something, as they always do. Or tell you it's normal when it only works 75% of the time. No thanks, Samscum isn't welcome in my life.

Yes!!!!

This should mean we get Apple Card in the UK sometime soon as Apple will want to compete.

Oh and I don't care about Samsung Card.

I have a Curve card, it's really useful, I run the majority of my transactions through it. The main benefits to me have been:

* My debit card charges a fee when used abroad, if I front it with the Curve card that avoid the fee.
* You can generate receipts from transactions, useful for getting a receipt for work from things like TFL.
* I get a push notification when it's used, hardly ground breaking but my bank still doesn't have that itself.
* Changing a payment from a personal to a work account is super useful!

Obviously it works fine with Apple pay too.
