I have to say that I really hate these type of earphones. I prefer the Apple AirPods because they don't totally block outside noise and make me feel like I'm in a vacuum. Also, I love talking on the phone with my AirPods but I hate speaking/singing with other types of headphones that seal the ear. Even if these were made by Apple I wouldn't be excited b/c I just don't enjoy the sealed type of earphones as much.

This is probably one of the silliest analogies I've seen in this thread. :p:D Nuff said. You purchased a defective TV 3 years ago and ipso facto, ergo, e pluribus unum, veni vidi vici... it somehow is relevant? o_O Nuff said, indeed.

My point being Samsung make crappy products that are unreliable

And apple make excellent products that are reliable

If you feel otherwise , I wonder why you’re posting on a Mac centric forum ?

They aren't really that similar to the Airpods. Airpods have almost no sound isolation from the environment. I like the "open" feel they provide, but in noisy environments in-ear buds are better. I'll probably buy a pair of the Samsungs to complement my Airpods. It would be even better if Apple released an in-ear version of the Airpods with full iOS integration ...

Maybe he’s not biased?

Erm, no they don’t, Apple don’t necessarily make ‘crap’ products, but they don’t make reliable ones all the time either. The front page of this website has adorned many a story to prove that.

That doesn’t count.

"excellent products that are reliable"

We have 4 Touch Bar MacBook pros in my family. 3 of which have had some major issues with them within 1-2 years of purchase. By 'major issues' I mean things that prevent us from getting work done on them.

All the Samsung watches have been too fat so far. These ones actually look passable, although still too fat for my preference.

I do have to say that I like the idea of a round watch; if Apple gave me a choice between a round one or a square one I'd definitely pick the round one. That being said, there is a near-zero chance that I'll ever buy a non-Apple smartwatch, regardless of the shape.

Yeah, your analogy doesn't lend credence to the point you're trying to make. How I feel about products is immaterial to my thoughts on your analogy... which is what I was criticizing. You shouldn't confuse my criticism of that analogy as a product criticism.

I post here because I like the discourse with some individuals. My feelings about products aren't a prerequisite to posting. Nuff said.

looking good...waiting for the reviews though.

before the AirPods were released they were getting such negative (pr)reviews, it hurts reading them nowadays.

I would not be surprised if it's the complete opposite when it comes to the Galaxy Buds.

only time will tell.

Apple has already been graded on a curve.

Meanwhile, the competition typically gets a free pass because the media is always looking out for the next thing that can lend credence to the narrative that Apple is doomed. All the better to drive clicks and ad revenue.

Doesn’t make it any less annoying, but that’s the way it has been.

These don't look like they will fit in anyone's ears particularly well... also they look heavy so I doubt they will stay in place as well as AirPods when it comes to working out with them. It's cute how they shamelessly mimic'd the AirPods charging case though.

They look similar to the Sennheiser Momentum, which look similar to the Jaybird Run and Run X, which look similar to the B&O E8, which look similar to the Skullcandy Push..

Everyone is casting shade but Samsung has had great earbuds that pair easily and come with a charging case for a few years now. The big change this year is the wireless charging. Keep Apple on their toes. If there were no good competitors then Apple could easily charge more and if Apple can charge more they will.
The reverse wireless charging is a great show of technology, coming soon to an iphone near you. I do wish my airpods had a wireless coil for charging.

I love the apple haters disguised as “fans” here. Some great laughs to be had! All Samsung are good for, is keeping apple on its toes and it’s barely even doing that at the min because apple is clearly dozing at the wheel with certain products and their pricing.

Trying hard, but Apple still has good taste. Thank God.

Good taste at what? Hope you're not implying tampons hanging out of ears.

Design wise Jabra Elite 65T looks the best of what's out on the market.

Kudos to Samsung getting for only taking 28 months to copy AirPods. This means their HomePod clone should be available around Summer of 2020.

Do those stumps on the Airpods serve any purpose? It's the Earpod design without the cables.

Samsung is on their 3rd iteration of truly wireless buds. Their first version, Gear IconX was intro'd July 2016, updated in 2018, and updated again in 2019. So where are you getting 28 months and copying?o_O

Their smart speaker, the Galaxy Home (an homage to Google's Home:p:D) is coming in April... with Bixby:(. Unless it pulls a AirPower, in that case we might see in 28 months.;)

I greatly prefer the in-ear buds like these or the BeatsX to the AirPod style. Hoping the updated AirPods will offer that option.

This... it would also help battery life, and would not need as high an output.

Sure. They didn't have to have two separate molding casts.
