They look much better than the Airpods!

i agree on looks, great job Samsung!

One thing I give airpods is that for calls they are TOP notich. Apple really did a good job on that. I would have to test how these good at calls.

More competition the better, Tim Cook doesn't push as hard as steve, so the hardware side of things are sucking these days (except for Airpods, which were awesome)

Can you adjust the volume on the earbud? I hate that Apple airpods won’t allow you to increase or decrease volume. I gotta pull my phone out to do that...might as well just use wired buds with volume stick on wire.

I greatly prefer the in-ear buds like these or the BeatsX to the AirPod style. Hoping the updated AirPods will offer that option.

Yeah. I love my Apple In Ears 100% of the time and I love my AirPods 90% of the time, when they don't fall out of my ears. Thats why I bought the In Ears in first place cause my ear shape seems not to like the standard Apple Ear Buds. The AirPods have the same shape but due to no cords they tend to fall out less often then the regular earbuds. But still I want in ear AirPods.

It’ll be interesting to see what people make of the sound from these earphones. See if they match the AirPods or not. I love my AirPods so I’m biased.
Seriously anything costing $5 or more sounds as good as AirPods and often better. I was very disappointed with the sound quality. I use high quality wired headphones more often than not so knew Bluetooth would be a compromise....AirPods just compound the compromise. I have some $15 knock-off Chinese Bluetooth in ear for convenience and they honestly sound better than the AirPods though can have iffy connection when battery running low

Everyone is casting shade but Samsung has had great earbuds that pair easily and come with a charging case for a few years now. The big change this year is the wireless charging. Keep Apple on their toes. If there were no good competitors then Apple could easily charge more and if Apple can charge more they will.

Typical that all the "Apple People" have to post their entry for the snarkiest anti-Samsung comment, despite the fact that said product might actually have good features. So predictable. Too bad Apple doesn't make microwave ovens, washers and dryers, furniture, pots and pans, etc. Surely everyone here would buy it.

I am amazed they managed to launch bluetooth headphones (that like Apple's look almost similar to the previous wired version without wires) without removing the jack from the Galaxy S phones.
Who would have guessed that was possible?
Unlike Apple, Samsung is NOT courageous :p

Why not? I have the Jabra's elite active 65t's and they blow airpods out of the water when it comes to phone calls... and everything else for that matter :)

Agreed. But most importantly they fit in my ear and don’t fall out as soon as I move like AirPods do. And you can actually hear them in a noisy subway or airplane because they provide a seal

Problem with my AirPods is that they sound like AliExpress $2 EarPods, but AirPods are definitely very convenient...
How is the sound quality of the Galaxy Buds and does it offer W1-like connection with Apple devices?

I can’t imagine they’ll work well for speaking on phone calls. In-ear buds aren’t for everyone either.

They have both external and internal microphones, so they pick up on your voice through your bone structure. I believe that would work quite well in noisy environments.

BeatsX is technically an Apple product now, so if you like those, Apple already has a solution for you. I think AirPods are trying to take a different road and don't need to look like these other 'buds.

Does Apple own white?

If you look across the marketplace, yes, Apple is distinctively identified by white. Now Samsung is trying to encroach on that recognition, likely to partially damage Apple's grip and recognition with consumers.

Haven't seen a review on on the buds yet, so don't know how it actually operates. But the Airpods have some great features.

As far as the comment about microwaves etc, the washers and batteries have something in common from self-same manufacturer.

So instead of copying Apple, they copied My excellent Sennheiser MomentumTW buds!

By that rationale, the other 75% have ears that AirPods don't fit. Airpods fall out of my ears as well as my girlfriend's. The rubber fitted inserts are so much better, everyone knows that.
no, wrong rationale. you're assuming 100% of the people have tried AirPods. other 75% could either not care about listening to music at the airport/gym, could have Android, couldn't afford AirPods, couldn't justify the price for AirPods, etc... go check out MKBHD's video on AirPods: "AirPods may be the most popular wireless headphones...I see these everywhere, NYC, airports, at CES....there are thousands of reviews and they're great reviews"..."for most people they stay in your ears"

and not everyone thinks rubber inserts are better. they come with, usually, three sizes. so they hurt after a while if you use really snug ones, but if you go a size lower, they'll fall out easily.

I have the icon x 2018 and LOVE THEM! I don't know how they can improve this aside from sound quality ans call quality. I hope they still get 8hrs with 4gb onboard storage.

I also love the fact that I can control the vilumv with the touch pads so I don't have to fiddle with my phone or... Siri✋✋✋✋

That's what apple watch is for :)

I mean, you are on an Apple fansite

These will by no means get me to switch to Samsung or Android, but the Airpods really suck for noisy environments like a subway. I have to turn up the volume to dangerous levels just to hear a podcast.

Silicone-tipped earbuds are much better at blocking out noise. I use a cheap pair of bluetooth buds on the subway for this reason. The downside is that you tend to shout on phone calls.

Are you sure you don't have an issue with your hearing? I live in Chicago and take the L everyday and have never had any issues listening to music/podcasts/audiobooks/etc at normal volume levels with my AirPods.
