Actually some real useful features maybe coming to Apple in 2027??? Maybe!

WOW, this really shows how far Apple is actually behind. By the time Apple will be able to get a good Siri, the competition will leapfrog Apple on all fronts.
I thought Samsung wiuld leap frog apple. Just some minor improvements.

the ultra s25 also gets 30 to 35 percent better battery life than last years model

the long battery life will blow you away. just wish it was a 6000 ma battery like some other phones instead of 5000

And the battery probably works vs. Apple's pathetic battery performance.

How much ram ? An odd spec to not mention. Either 12GB or 16GB in the Ultra I’m guessing. Apple may try and hide that spec but in Android land, it’s normal to list it.
Edit … found it elsewhere.. it’s 12GB same as last year in the Ultra. Surprising to be honest they didn’t update it to 16GB.
12GB for Ultra it's clearly shown on Samsung website.

So what is there apart from AI and software features? Just a new UW sensor for only the Ultra, and a new chip of course.

None of these sofware and AI features seem particularly useful, except for circle to search which is already out.
You’ve got to be kidding. the AI camera features alone are a total game changer. You can actually use AI across the phone without opening any apps, and they’ve shown off practical, everyday uses, not just some cartoon creator app or a slightly upgraded Siri like Apple’s doing.
Samsung’s straight-up beating Apple at their own game (which used to be strong software), and when it comes to hardware, design, and build, they’re also one step ahead.

Nice to see what the have done with the base S25. It is physically smaller and lighter than any iPhone since the mini and still has a 6.2" screen. Wish Apple would do that instead of constantly making them bigger and heavier.
You are correct, the S25 is small and lighter than an iPhone 16

In defense of the short-side alignment, it would significantly reduce if not eliminate wobbling when on tables.
Mmm, yes. Very true. Marking the only defense of such a camera alignment. 😜

On that topic... Put one camera in each corner and let's finally put table-top wobble to bed. Jokes aside, I'm astonished table-top wobble has been a thing as long as it has. Can anyone point me to any justification from Ive on such things? I can't recall how, or if, they rationalized that one.

Can we please stop calling AI - Artificial Intelligence? It really isn't at this point, its not autonomous thinking, its supervised and right now its not doing anything useful.

Close, but not quite. Supervised Learning is one class of machine-learning algorithms, and Unsupervised is another. Both classes of algorithms are used in various ways across the various tools. Generative AI employs a cross-section of Supervised and Unsupervised algorithms, first drawing from some pre-established data ("what is a cat?") and then generating new output based on the user's request, which can be considered an Unsupervised task. Often, these tools offer some type of feedback loop to send changes and corrections back to the model for optimization.

Basically, it's not as simplistic as you suggested. That's what most anti-AI people fail to realize. There's layers upon layers of logic being employed. It's not just "one thing".

These Samsung keynotes and announcements give me the shivers. They feel like a total ripoff of Apple's keynotes. I know that Apple borrows from the industry, too, but ugh... Samsung and other Android-centricc companies seem to have such strong Apple envy, still to this day.

How are there people who thumbs down’d this? Competition is always a great thing for the consumer. And Samsung builds a great phone. Hardware is amazing. Software, that’s more subjective.

True. It's entertaining to hear them make bold claims like "rebuilt from the ground up" (which is nonsense), and "industry-first" (more nonsense). The crafting of the announcements feel like they are targeting a subset of the market that has blinders on and only watches what Samsung does, that they are speaking to the echo chamber.

Not from Apple. Samsung steals the show.
Really?! The iPhone 16 really raised the bar for base model value and, even if it the execution wasn't that great the camera button was at least an idea. The base S25 Vs a base iPhone 16 is better value for money on paper but as far as reveals go this was a damp squib.

Remove the AI features (which will all come to Google handsets anyway) and you have the S23 for a second year with bigger stats. The S25 Ultra is even worse value because the S23 Ultra is still a great phone for a much lower price.

AI mixed with a personal assistant doesn't really interest me. Just watched a review and while they did say the AI integration is great, it doesn't always do what you ask it to do.

The wife will probably get the S25+ or Ultra to replace her S23. Ive tried to convert her to iPhones but she just does not like them at all (loves her MBP M2 though). The Galaxy phones are very good though on par with iPhones, but im locked in the very comfortable Apple ecosystem!

I actually think the AI button on the S25 series is a more useful feature, especially how it's integrated with Google Gemini, Samsung's apps and 3rd party apps.

Apple Music not working well on android and no Apple Fitness + app which I use daily, is a deal breaker. Although Samsung does make good products, iOS is better for me.
