Samsung Misses Earnings Estimates. Analysts interviewed by Bloomberg blamed growth in Apple's iPhone line.

No doubt. When Samsung earnings are booming, it's a sign that they are beating the pants off Apple, so Apple must be in trouble. When Samsung misses earnings, it's a sign that the whole industry is in trouble and Apple must also be in trouble because they're in that industry.

AAPL is Definitely MANIPULATED by The Same VILLAIN or DEMON that Controls Wall Street that Means, Controls Almost All of The Influential Media/Press Whether Paper or TV throuout The Country and The World as Brought about " Antenna Gate " to Fell Down Apple's Reputation & Image to Knock Down AAPL to Gain Tremendous Profit by Using Really Reckless Evil-like their Practice " Short Sell " !!!!!!
AAPL Should Have Hit $1.000 by The End of 2012 and Could Have Hit $1.500 to $2.000 by The End of This Year 2013, Honestly !!!
No One Can Explain Properly How Come and Why AAPL is Just Miserably Hovering under $600 that NEVER Corresponds to World NO.1 Both Revenue & Profit ( Lo, Their Cash Stock Now ) Company at Its Size !
But People Engaged in The Market Business ALL Know its Reason.
As A Lackay or Bagmen or Protegé , You Name it, of VILLAIN who Mastermind The Scenario like " Antennagate " then, Media/Presses Circulate Desperately Anti-Apple Campaign-like Gutter Press NONSENSE.
" Apple is Losing its Ground in The Market Share Both in U.S. and in The World " As Quote.
But They NEVER Refer to Colossal " Profit Share " of Apple in This Whole Tech Industries on The Planet.
They ALWAYS ALWAYS Downplay and Ignore The Significant Mind-Blowing & Jaw-Dropping Result of Apple's Each Quater's Conference Call Announcement that Summed Up to Where NO COMPANY in History in The West or in The East Ever NEVER Accomplished at its Scale and Size !!!!!!!

Isn't Android winning? Samsung is the biggest manufacturer of Android phones? Right? And tablets too? Right? Oh... I forgot that Samsung phones and tablets are the same.

Yea they really are its pretty funny. I like that I can buy an iPad and it looks nothing like my iPhone.

With root, you can flash ROMs of new versions of Android. With launchers, you can get the same UI and features of new versions of Android. Android is like a jailbroken iOS device on steroids. I can make Android look and feel exactly like new versions of Android if I want, even if my Android device doesn't support the new version of Android.

I didn't say Apple isn't ahead of the game, in fact I know they are. However, Android isn't as bad an option as it was four years ago.

Oh, ok. So, your whole argument is based on the ability to geek out your Android, but you want to talk about real-world usage.

Mere mortals, you know, the average real-world consumers, have no clue what rooting is. If asked, they'd think you're talking about plants & trees.

Meanwhile, these same mere mortals have some peace of mind knowing that their iOS device gets OS support/updates* for at least 3-4 years.

*I'm still baffled by the iPod Touch requirements for iOS 7, and the short-lived original iPad.

Back to your geeking out Android... Oh, never mind... It's Android. That's your sole reason for liking it, regardless of how much control carriers have over Android. The very small exception is a Nexus, which the average consumer doesn't even know they exist except in the form of a cheap tablet they buy for kids. I won't even go there with Google's privacy issues. You can deal with them.

I made the switch from the Note 2, to the iPhone 5s to the Note 3. I actually did not mind the small screen of the 5s. It was ios that drove me back to Android. And using iTunes to manage content drove me crazy. I just want to plug my device in and drag and drop. Anybody that claims that iTunes is better needs their head checked. Plus iTunes (along with many other programs) is black listed at my job.
I thought a larger screen would make me change my mind but once you use 2 totally different ecosystems you notice the pro's and con's. Not saying that Android is perfect but it's better suited for what I want to do with a smart phone.
And I doubt Apple will release anything bigger than 5" anytime soon. It will eat away at iPad mini sales. Just look at the price of the retina mini. Everything that Apple does has a reason.

I'm in the same boat. I moved from an iPhone 4, 2 years ago to a GS3, to a Nexus 4, and then to the Note 3. I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem with the Mac, iPad, and Apple TV. But I really like the customization of Android. I was torn when I saw the iPhone 5S, because I actually really liked what I saw. Apple has the better ecosystem with the AppStore, but Google Play is close. In the end, I wanted to give the larger form factor of the Note 3, and the stylus a try. So far I'm loving my Note 3.

When did they innovate anything more than a gimmick or a half baked product just to say they were first?

Come on we all know Apple does it too. They built a video game console and PDAs and they flopped because they weren't ready. Hell Apple even contracted Motorola to make a iTunes phone before the iPhone. Apple took a long time to really bloom its market. It took them a lot of trial and error themselves.

Well, I don't buy Samsung because I don't buy from copy cats. When you buy something you are doing more than satisfying a personal need, you are voting on what you think of the company and who you want to win the economic war. I want the innovator (no matter where they manufacturer) to win within reason. That is better for everyone in the long run.

I am however, glad the rest of you buy the copy because Apple needs competition to push it to be more open, less costly, and improve features. IMHO there are issues at play here that are more important than specific features. Apple is still doing a reasonable job and they deserve your vote.

Poor old Sadsung. I imagine their dominance is rapidly shrinking in their value line is a big factor. Just look at the Moto G which for the money wipes the floor with anything Samsung currently offers in the budget arena. With the S4 being incredibly dull and no good mid range device I am surprised they are even doing as well as they are. Personally I think Samsung's only stand out product is the Note 3 and for most people it is just too big.

I completely agree. I had jailbroken my 5 and have done the same to the 5s..However I am getting plain and tired from this and am going to go stock with 7.1 when it comes out. I USE my phone all the time for work, to look keep me connected and to follow developments through apps..Stock IOS offers me that in a seamless, clutter free fashion and I have absolutely NO complains whatsoever with the way it functions. I send dozens of emails every day, surf the web, read news, and send atleast 50 messages through i-Messages or WHatsapp every day all for work, in addition to making calls. I would say i USE my Iphone HARD and the only real advantage I see wit ROM's, LAUNCHERS and JAILBREAK is the ability to GEEKIFY the phone with customised stuff..something which I have loved over the years as a student but don't really care much for NOW as FUNCTIONALITY has taken over personalization in my list of priorities. Even if apple began supporting Jailbreak, I would guess that the vast majority of the users will stay stock because at the end of the day most smartphone users buy the phone to add functionality to their portable device so that they can get work done..Geeks that have the urge to stay different and spot new looks etc make up a very small percentage of the demographic. Apple has and is all about taking funcitonality and making it simple so that your average consumer can make use of it...

I think if that was the case, then Apple would find an alternative supplier... regardless.

Well, you can Pull Windows from running on a Mac to start with, and pull Msoft and Google software from running in OSX or iOS.

Samsung can stop supplying apple with any more hardware

See how well they do
Well they'd be long dead now anyway if it was not for Microsoft.

Apple owes everyone BIG TIME

Microsoft can happy carry on with the PC side of things, Samsung can carry on making it's own devices, Apple would be nothing

Did you buy a Car or Motorcycle?

I hope you did not buy one from a copycat maker, but the original inventor of either device.

Also with your cloths, and the food you eat

It would not be a huge surprise that all of the rumored figures for Apple are way over blown. I have no colleague who bought iPhone 5s or 5c unfortunately to support any of these figures. I guess there is time for everything, Icann will learn what toilet flash really means. Ha-Ha! No one is pressuring anyone, there are not much new buyers for toys.

AnalyzeThis? I've tried and failed.

This is probably one of the most ridiculous posts I've seen here. Do you believe Microsoft and Samsung make software and hardware for Apple out of the goodness of their hearts? Microsoft sells it's software and Apple pays for the hardware. They owe them nothing more.

Apple owes everyone BIG TIME

No they don't. Apple has normal supplier and customer relationships with Samsung, Microsoft and Google. The deals between these parties are made through direct payment, licensing, gentlemen's agreements and mutual service exchanges. Apple doesn't owe anyone anything, nor the other way around.

Do you owe your supermarkt anything because they allow you to shop there and supply you with food in exchange for money?

By your rationale BMW owes Ford for inventing the assembly line, Microsoft owes IBM for the original DOS, Google owes Altavista, Yahoo and Webcrawler for search logic.

This is absolute nonsense.

If that was true, Apple would have the same problem, as would everyone else.

Apple is on top because it's cool, they haven't had true innovation in the iPhone in a few years.

And please don't tell me that putting a 64-bit processor in is "innovation", it isn't, it's iteration. It's a decades old technology that finally became feasible for the size of a phone.

Selective memory... Apple NEVER does that. Ever.

Ha, Ha, Ha, You Prove YourSelf, " Apple NaySayers Are Mentally ILL or SKEWED ", lol !!!

If I see one more sarcastic "Apple is DOOMED" post, I swear I'm gonna backtrace some IP addresses, go to their houses, then say "safari is snappier safari is snappier safari is snappier" over and over again until they go insane.

I heard that safari will be snappier in iOS 8.

Surprised

Considering how well their phones are doing. I mean, I'm seeing far more people with Galaxies than iPhones these days. Where just two years ago, my man on the street test was 10 - 1 iphones, it seems like now 6 - 4 Galaxy/Android in the last 12 months.

I would expect to see more posts like this as Samsung lowers its marketing budget and shifts even more to low cost student trolls like it employed against HTC.

I really hope you have a job where proper analysis isn't part of the requirements.

I think Samsungs shoddy quality is starting to hurt them. Just Google: "Galaxy S4 screen brakes by itself". A serious issue that was ignored by the press (because it's not Apple). Samsung completely refused to take any responsibility and their service blamed the customers and charged money for "repair". Not even a billion dollars can offset the negative word of mouth from a few thousand disgruntled customers.

Then there was region lock, which was actually reported by the press but very wrongly (claiming you can use your Galaxy only in your "home region".

People are finally getting a clue about Samsung.

Yep. It's about time everyone woke up and realized just how corrupt Samsung really is, and just how poor quality it's products really are--across all divisions. Reliability just is not there with all the money going into marketing rather than the product. And customer service...........hello, hello, hello.....anyone there, hello?

Probably in Samsung marketing (at least he HAD one).

Apple has always had a good relationship with samsung manufacturing chip side, which is a completely different company then the Samsung side that makes phones.

The company also paid a special bonus of 800 billion won to workers to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Chairman Lee Kun Hee’s new management strategy, it said.

dang, that's not bad, hope it didn't just go to the top cats

Unfortunately few Android phones ( even Google's ) get more than 18 months of support/updates.

really? my nexus s (end of 2010) is running faster than ever on kitkat (end of 2013) :D

the only reason there is MS software for OS X i because apple needs it ;) you think they would sell it if there was no demand? the apple equivalent softwares just dont cut it. if people cant use ms office on mac, they are not gonna buy a mac.

Things are only going to get more difficult for Samsung when iPhone 6 launches.

Since carriers are moving toward a non-subsidized phone and requiring people to pay full price($599+), we'll see if this makes a difference in sales/upgrades.

When Apple finally introduces a big phone, Samsung mobile is going to have a bad year. I know I'm not the only one that left the iPhone in search of a larger phone.
