Samsung unfortunately runs Android so switching isn’t an option. Can’t fault them for trying to be competitive though. Rest assured this iPhone Duo will easily become the market leader in foldable phones.

It's crazy that a so called professional company act in this way...every single year. Imagine if Apple wasted their time doing this...I guess when you're the leader of the pack you don't have to pull any of the shenanigans of those that are chasing.

Apple didn't make the first cell phone, but they reinvented the device and turned the entire market upside down and inside out. Google was weeks away from releasing their own phone with a touch screen and had to redesign it because Apple raised the bar.
Apple didn't invent publishing but they reinvented it with the introduction of the LaserWriter and true WYSIWYG display technology.
Apple didn't invent the watch, or the computer, but... you know.

Apple is rarely first, but they're usually (arguably) best.

From the company that literally copied the iPhone for years.

Such trashy behaviour from a massive company.

The iPhone duo looks phenomenal. I was the one who was yawning about it prior to the actual presentation. Now I’m sold.
As soon as I can figure a way to cover the two FaceTime cameras without causing closing issues, I believe I'm going to jump on that particular bandwagon.

Samsung took to social media today to mock the iPhone Duo while Apple announced the device.

In a series of sarcastic posts that did not explicitly mention Apple or the iPhone Duo, Samsung made comments like "Let us know when you're done reheating our leftovers" and "Was it exciting? No. Did it happen? Yes."

Samsung used an #ItsTimeToSwitch hashtag in some of its posts.

Launching on Friday, October 23, the iPhone Duo will compete with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 and other foldable devices already on the market. Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone Duo on Friday, October 16, with U.S. pricing starting at $1,999 for a model with 256GB of storage, compared to $1,899 for the Galaxy Z Fold8.

Seeing that they stole Apple’s design, I’d say they had these pre canned.

Screams insecurity as per usual with them.

Good to see the foldable from Apple after a long time. Over 7.5 years since the first fold from Samsung. Disappointing that the Duo does not have the telephoto lens. Wonder how long that will take to come to Apple's fold. Overall the software and user experience on Duo looks good.

Samsung wishes it could sell like Apple does and since they can’t, all they can do is be on the sideline shouting nonsense lol happens every iPhone release like clockwork 😂

My experience with Samsung? The worst possible customer service, ever. And it felt like that was on purpose. You couldn't gift me a Samsung product.
Agreed. And to see this kind of cheap public facing mockery really makes me dislike them more. Absolute stupidity.

I don't know why Apple does not look at developing their own screens or going to another OEM.
They somewhat do. They use existing technology like almost everyone else, they do their own R&D or pays for it. Don’t be fooled by Samsung that all Apple is doing is copying or using left overs, it’s far from the truth
