I swear this makes me embarrassed for them reading it just as bad as when Samsung Pay came out!

Some things never change.

This is really strange. The S7 already has "Black Onyx" and "Titanium Silver" variants. They could really only darken the metal edges of the device, seems like a waste of a SKU.

Samsung plans to launch a glossy black version of its nine-month-old Galaxy S7 smartphone early next month, according to The Korea Herald.

The report claims the new color will help Samsung compete with the popular Jet Black and Matte Black variants of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The new color could also fuel additional Galaxy S7 sales to help fill the void left by the permanently discontinued Galaxy

Fire Engine Red would be pretty cool.

...excuse me, I meant hot.

Lol. It's kinda hard to say Samsung isn't copying with this one. I mean, jeez, Samsung, you already have a black S7. That should be enough!

Let me guess, and Samsung plans to manufacture so many of them that OLED supplies for iPhone 8 will not be feasible...

Samsung is such a funny animal

In one hand the Note 7 (before it went boom boom) had a lot more impressive tech than the iphone 7. But then it goes and copies the colour.

You can out shine Apple with your OLED, out do them on the IRIS scanner, have wireless charging, but yet feel the need to copy there colour? They really have no shame!

Of course, no one had done glossy black anything before Apple? Perhaps Samsung are copying Sony or any number of Chinese brands...like perhaps Apple did?

Shameless. The name was wrong from the beginning, at least in the model building field, jet black is a flat black (cause its the black on jet engine exhaust pipes among other things). Samsung using the same incorrect name for their next color shows how direct they copy... They could have called it liquid black and it would convey the visual qualities much better. But its in their nature. JMHO...
