Listen, I realize it's an Apple forum. I also realize they are going to back Apple. But there is no correlation.

"Ebola crisis in Western Africa While Apple sells 15 million iPhones" is also a true statement. Being that there is no evidence of correlation, why even make that a headline?

Samsung is Apple's biggest competitor, trying to say that an article about them is as unrelated as Ebola is ridiculous... They weren't making a ~correlation~, they were just summarising Apple's sales since they were posting an article about Samsung's. Simple, and it makes perfect sense.

Can we atleast admit now that there's this possibility that bendgate was manufactured by Sammy? The Consumer Reports video had no ads I believe, and they even tested several other non-Apple phones.

Plus that unbox guy got paid roughly $50k in per/visitor and sponsorship revenue. (SquareSpace ad at the beginning.)

Polycarbonate is one of the most resilient plastics on the planet. They make flak jackets and bullet-proof vests out of it because it doesn't break.

Aluminum, on the other hand, is used to make soda cans.

But hey, if Apple says metal is better then it must be true. Just be careful putting it in your pocket, it might bend.

Hello Mr. Samsung Engineer. Welcome to the Macrumors forums! Hope you will enjoy your stay. :)

Two can play that game. Aluminum is also used to make rigid bicycle frames while polycarbonate is commonly used for plastic water bottles. Wow, that was fun!

Oh and did you know your chairman is posting here too? And in this very thread??! Amazing huh? He goes by the handle isoft7. Make sure you give the respectful bow when you come across him, as is required in employee contract regulation 23-A, then give him the Samsung salute as is specified in article 16-5c. And please do not forget your obligation to give the Samsung family chant every morning when you wake up for work, as is stated in your employee handbook on page 4 under section "A happy employee is an obedient employee".

Keep up the good work.

I'm amused at the rage of the Samsung users in this thread. Kool aid, cults, sheep, only thing missing is someone bringing up great artists steal! It's amusing how angry they are :D

Some of them may lose their jobs working at Samsung so they're practicing their next one.

Whatever you say man. Obviously I was making an over the top example. I was simply saying the two things in the article are unrelated. It's a great way to slant a situation in Apple's favor to the average guy clicking through and skimming an article. Look at half of the responses if you don't see what I mean.

I certainly didn't intend for this ridiculous back and forth lol. In my opinion it doesn't make sense. In youre it does. Your opinion has been noted. Have a wonderful day.

I don't believe it was manufactured but they're clearly running with it with some of their ads.

Why Apple uses or used Samsung for chip productions? They are probably their fiercest rivals in the phone market and are known to have presumably copied various companies' designs/patents. How can they be sure they're not copying their chip design?

Just wait until after the iphone 6 hype is all gone.

You know, samsung makes more than just phones. They make kitchen appliances, tv's, all sorts of things. Their profits aren't really going down, it's just because the iphone 6 just came out. Just wait a month or two after the iphone hype dies.

People are losing trust in apple, which is why people aren't updating to ios8.

People are losing trust in Apple, which is why people bought more than 10 million iPhones in four days...

The amazing thing about Apple bashers is they are very funny in their parallel dimension :D

LOL, if someone posted a video of a 6+ bending in their pocket, you would just say they lied. It's your job.

Just post it...

....profits are down 28% year over year.

A couple of months aren't going to do anything.

Because Samsung is one of the best fabs out there.

Also, manufacturing a device does not translate into understanding how it works, as that is done elsewhere. You're also overlooking that even if Samsung copied the A series exactly, there is no OS tuned for it, which takes hundreds of millions of dollars of investment and development.

its sad that fanboys would rather support apple over their own consumer rights

And may i add aluminum is also used as a part the manufacturing, on some of the worlds fastest cars. The engines, suspension being 90% aluminum on Bugatti veyron, Koenigsegg Agera R, Lamborghini Aventador just name a few.

Late to the party.

The headline is more akin to:
"Mudslides doing damage, more rain on the way."

Their plagiarism is quite a while ago, these days apple is stealing from others as much as they can.
It's just business.

Which technology do you allege they have stolen?

----------

Plagiarism? You mean how Apple just started making bigger phones like Samsung did years before them?

That's a bit different. Apple had already experimented with various device sizes and many customers had requested this.
