Ehh I don't really see the value in these kind of ads, but to each his own I guess. What I want to know is how does one watch a video while sending an email? Or rather, why would you want to? Wouldn't you want to pause the video so you can focus on the email and then resume your video? Again, to each his own I suppose.

Maybe the screen is so big you can do both at once!

FYI

* Screen images simulated, appearance may vary. Accessory sold seperately.
* Music Hub subscriber-to-subscriber, where available.
* S Beam requires initial connection between devices, must touch back-to-back to activate.
* Shareshot requires Galaxy SIII phones connected using peer-to-peer WiFi Direct (TM) technology.

Normal consumers don't see this, they just see the commercial and think "this is cool".

Depends which side you are on. If you are not part of the fan boy crew it is pretty funny. I find they are making poking fun at the fan boys and it does a pretty good job.

I have to disagree, I never really found the Mac vs. PC ads all that funny, charming, cute, but rarely funny. There were one or two though that did make me laugh. These Samsung ones though remind me more of the guy who thinks he’s really funny, but is really just making fun; it’s cheap, in the hands of an expert it can be done well (Charles Flesicher), but here it’s just sort of cringe worthy.

Samsung reminds me of Hyundai about a decade ago. They were building solid, reliable cars, but were utterly devoid of any imagination. Then they started their project Genesis where they invented their own design language and it’s been really successful. I’m hoping Samsung is on that same path, they’re saying the right things (I was really intrigued with the SIII design language hype), but they’re not following through (I was hugely disappointed with how mundane the SIII was). I think they’ll get there, but it might be with the next shift in personal computing rather than the smartphone.

See now I like this ad. It's way classier than the print ad, why? Because they never say the word "iPhone" once. And the ad also makes a fairly compelling argument. Nice job, Samsung.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to get back to refreshing my iPhone 5 UPS Tracking Page.

LOL not this kind of ad again...

You mean to tell me Samsung wouldn't love this kind of devotion to their phones? A line forming for their galaxy phones? Yeah right.

I think the comedy lies in the fact that people line up for an inferior phone. A phone that, for the last year or two, has been playing visible catch-up with Android's top phones. And the Android OS.

However, the iPhone is a great phone for older people, or those who want something very basic.

I loved the part where the dude is holding a spot in line for his parents. That was very clever from a marketing standpoint.

People who get upset or flustered over an ad like this really need to re-prioritize their life. Why does it matter if others prefer something else? Its a stupid phone, get over it and move on. I personally find these adds funny, and I have an iPhone

So cute making an ad for us

Wonder when you feel like ur phone is too cool to make an ad to insult your never going to be customers :p

iPhone is old news ..it was cool, before everyone and their mother got one.

I'm just going to get the new iPod touch and run it off the hotspot on my Samsung note II, when it comes out.

The thing that Samsung and Android users don't understand is you can do everything on the iPhone anyway. They see the update and say "we had that ages ago", such as Panorama. So could we. I've used many an app for Panorama and they work great. The perk of having a massive app store. But the update is Apple pushing a native, built in way of these functions, so it works better. While with Android, built in doesn't always mean better, like S Beam.

So Apple didn't really add anything new - they just copied ideas from others and used them as their own? Yeah, that's generally what Apple has been doing for the last year or two.

jealousy is a stinky cologne...

oh samsung, I liked you, you gave me some killer tv's, but your perception is now showing some signs of weakness...

i dont knock anything before i try it, but these ad's just leave a bad taste in my mouth.

i can't stand this form of marketing, is prevalent among auto manufacturer's, really embarrassing.

I do like these series of ads, they may be distorted, but they do poke fun at some of the sillier aspects of Apple fandom. My favorite was last years when a person in line was complaining that it didn't look different: "but how will people know I have the new one?" The web video recently released http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_vE2Fx8ros is a much better spoof though.

I don't understand what the agency is trying to do. Are they trying to win iPhone customers over to Android? Surely they should be concentrating their resources on targeting the customers of other Android phones and letting Google fight the fight against iOS?

Moral of the story

What samsung said in the Ad is, you cannot use a SG3 unless you are a super genius! It is so complicated.
Whereas iPhone is designed for using a wide range of people, including both genius and grandmas :) It is useful for everyone and it is got everything for everyone! What is the point of having some features that no one is going to use at all?

Awwwwwwwwww poor wittle Samesung. Keep wasting money on your little jealousy ads that shows no comparison to the phones; only to your maturity level. Better start saving that money. With the iPhone soaring more popular with every phone released, sooner or later you're gonna need it lol. Especially that you lost over a billion dollars for copying the iPhone. Must suck living in the shadows of a supreme, superior company who has more money than the federal government.

Please tell me you are an investor in Apple!

I laughed. People who gets offended by this ad must have been in that line in one way or another. Lol. I lined up for iPhone 1 and iPhone 4. But the other times, I ordered online. If you are mad just because of a phone ad, then you're not the target demographics for this commercial. You are already a lost soul for Samsung, neck deep in the Apple cult/koolaid and no persuasion or ad can sway you. You are now emotionally invested on Apple and when emotion takes over, rationale thinking flies out of the window. It's for fence sitters. It's for the new possible smart phone owner. It's for new Samsung phone owners who needs to justify themselves that they spent their hard earned money to have a good phone. It's for people not emotionally tied to Apple.

Relax, its just a phone.

Nicely done! (Unless it was a sarcastic double bluff)

Samsung is simply trolling iPhone users.

Unfortunately, judging by the responses here, they've succeeded.
