To valo. You don't disrepect anyone, you got that? Check yourself about sam users at apple forum.
[doublepost=1503515550][/doublepost]good luck with that as well. Samsung is part of apple discussion. Nice try. Check yourself
Really? Why would I go to a Samsung rumor site to talk about Apple. That would be just as dumb as if I went to a Nikon website to talk about my Canon gear. I have neither the need nor the desire to bash another company that I have no interest in.

ITT: Whining, stereotypical Apple fanboys repeating stereotypical criticisms on a device they'd be making a mess in their pants over if it had an apple logo on it.

The smart individuals get the best of both worlds by owning both brands, rather than capitulating to some "war" between platforms.

Except for the os and the soc, instead of just the apple logo on it, i agree.

Our Samsung rep brought his into the store today for the livestream... claims of superior OIS are not exaggerated: both lenses appear to have it, and side-by-side with my 7+ there was no competition. “Depth” mode was extremely similar, both better than the Moto Z2.

Just curious because android or any platform or phone can never be good enough to convince me trust the google ecosystem and trade my digital personhood for free services or conveniences.

But you're okay with Apple:
  • making money the same way with targeted iAds?
  • selling Google search first place on iOS in return for billions of dollars each year?
  • making money by selling to your own banks, access to you and your purchase info?
Wow.

While we're on the topic, apparently you're quite okay with selling your digital maidenhead to sites like this in return for free usage. Why don't you contribute instead so they don't have to support themselves off ads. Or do you just like to freeload when you think you're anonymous?

And you're saying you never use Google Search, Maps, YouTube, GMail or any other Google service?

Well apparently someone been bashing from previous post talking about samsheep. Before you post anything else, you should read that person's post. How the hell did you join up this conversation? Stay off of it. Samsung is relevant to this site.

Seems like a nice phone.

Still don't like curved edges, just not my thing. Also, 6GB? That's approaching PC/laptop territory. Is Android really that bad with memory resource management?

No, it's handy for this thing called "real" multitasking or if you want more than 5 tabs open in your browser at the same time.

As others have already said, the hardware is great. The software is good - but too needy and fragmented. As an example, leaving your phone over night does not warrant waking up to 30 inane notifications of things that don't matter to the average user.

I've got a Galaxy S7 and its a brilliant handset but ruined by Android. I've moved back to iPhone 7 and iOS.

Curious, what "inane" notifications are you referring to?
I personally disable all but the ones I actually want on both my iPhone and my S4.

Engadget noting, "Samsung has a camera setup excellent enough to make iPhone owners consider switching."

I would have said ".....enough to make iPhone owners wait 2 more weeks for something that Samsung can't touch for at least 1 to 2 more years."
I'm pretty sure Samsung could buy the same Sony tech if the felt the need to

I doubt I'll buy this because I bought an unlocked S8+ a few months ago. If I do buy the Note 8, it will be the unlocked version again. I'm done buying iPhones since Apple started in with disallowing apps that block ads in apps using VPNs. At least I can still put what I want on my Android phones.

There are two types of people in this world, one that would choose to enjoy quiet fancy dinner that might not fill you up and those who choose the noisy all you can buffet where you can scope anything you like and as much as you like onto your plate. There isn't wrong choice, but that's how I view iPhone vs Android.

I'm not familiar with this - any chance you could post or even PM me a link to info on that?

Can I get some proof of this?

I’m aware they are charging banks a small percentage in regards to Apple Pay, but not aware of them selling access of customers purchasing information.

The only phone with a capable EMR stylus with 4096 pressure levels of sensitivity. The Note 8 is in a superior category by itself. I would call it a SuperPhone. You really shouldnt compare anything to it since those other phones will always be missing the feature that sets this device apart....the S-pen.

I agree and as long as Samsung is making about half of the iphone or more, the iSheep shouldnt even try to complain. Samsung is literally building that device.

Which type of restaurant is the Apple model where they incessantly annoy you with update dialogs that you don't want? And once you do the food keeps coming out slower and slower to the point you give up.

Yeah, but it is not a real 2018 flagship.
Besides the stylus, the double cam and 2gb more of memory but with less battery, it is similar to the s8+ that retails for about 350 less.
A faster soc, and no chin and forehead at all and a better placement of the fingerprint scanner, could have made it a lot more attractive.

They have the fastest Snapdragon out right now.

Yeah no thanks. The iPhone 6 has literally better RAM management with 1GB of RAM than Sammy has with 6GB of RAM. It's embarrassing at this point. Looks good though.
"Literally" means for real. You got your hands on a Note 8 w/6GB RAM so you can compare the two first-hand or you're just blowing crap out your butt? I'm guessing the latter...

when does the fire sale for them begin.

On iPhones? Pretty darn soon...

So your "quiet fancy dinner" with your iPhone would include a menu of 3 chicken dishes, all pretty much identical, plus a menu item for yesterday's leftover chicken dish. And the special for tomorrow is another chicken dish, dressed up like Turkey. Oh, and no substitutions...the restaurant is in total control on what you order and what your side dishes can be.
There is a steak dish, but the steak has been frozen for over 4 years and hasn't changed on the menu since then.
