Well taking in consideration we were talking about fanboys and he specifically mentioned Android fanboys I simply balanced the discussion by mentioning Apple fanboys. Isn't that fair enough for you?

Well Apple doesn't have anything to rush here. That's the point.
And yes Apple is a very conservative company and slow to introduce new tech and react to market trends.
The "next week iphones" are proof of it.

Anyway if Samsung has been working on designing and engineering a foldable phone for 5 years and Apple started doing the same 3 years after Samsung what's your opinion, is Samsung rushing it's phone or not? What exactly is apple doing right here?

LG already displayed a 65 inch rollable glass OLED tv screen last year. Won't be long before they start hitting the market in a few years. Samsung phones in 2019, and LG tv's in 2020.

I do not know if Apple is working on it or not. And whether they do it before or after Samsung is irrelevant. Some will say one is copying the other or vice Versa. Then here we go again with the arguments. What I gather from the android faithful here is the minute something gets posted about a defect with s batch of iPhone 8s. Or a new android product or feature is announced, it turns the whole debate on which platform is better. It’s a pissing contest. My point is pick what you like. There is no need to bash here. But when you have the “other side” constantly throwing shade and snarky comments. This is what happens.
I didn't specifically call anybody a fanboy. But I guess you are not smart enough to follow my conversation.
The guy did says: desperate android fanbois and after thta “fandroid”(probably because he felt that he wasn't injurious enough) but I'm at fault here and the one was unreasonable. LoL
Of course you don't know much of anything it's not like you ever gave a different impression.
So you are bothered by the same behavior I noticed(even without paying much attention) that you exhibited multiple times towards android. Interesting.

Who said anything about Jailbreaking? You don’t need to jailbreak your iPhone to use Waltr. And it’s actually so much simpler to use to put data on your iPhone than iTunes.
Yes one of the few capable of developing such a screen while Apple is definitely not.

What goes around, comes around. It may put some users off considering they are so used to thinner designs, but having grown up through the infancy of cell phones for consumers, I still remember how thick they used to be.
For the life of me, I can't understand this question which come up all the time. "If you're a Samsung faithful, why are you here?" This really has become an us against them mentality. No wonder we have real wars about stupid stuff. Look, I can't speak for anyone else, but I use a Samsung Note 8. All of my other devices are Apple. That's why I am on this site. Both companies do great and stupid things. I hope I won't be exiled because I own a non Apple product.
I agree with your point here and ultimately understand that a forum like this will have all types of users. I do think there is a lot of defending going on when it comes to any criticism of a product or company. This happens on both ends for sure, but I notice when it’s more from the Apple fan, it’s more specific to a company or product. When it comes from an Android fan, it tends to be focused on the Apple user. There’s hyperbole on both ends, with a lot of childish nonsense in between, but that’s what I’ve seen over the years. I’m no fan of Samsung, Google, or Android, but I’ve always tried to keep it pretty clear that I have no issue with anyone’s personal choice and to use what works best for the individual. Hope that makes sense. There’s definitely a lot of BS on both ends though, which I do wish could be removed from the conversation.

I’m glad you own a note 8. Thanks for not being a troll like how SOME of the others act here. My whole point to ROG was that why are you here if all you do is bash Apple. All they do is deflect the question. It’s really not that complicated. Sorry. I call it like I see it.

I’ve used 2 different android devices and both were very bad experiences. This was a few years ago and I’m sure they’ve gotten better. But no thanks for me. My aggravation goes toward the small group of Apple bashers that live on an apple forum. This is supposed to be a place to talk about new technology and rumors.

Samsung is still on track to unveil its first foldable smartphone later in 2018, Samsung Mobile CEO DJ Koh told CNBC.
According to Koh, it is "time to deliver" on a foldable device after Samsung research revealed that there is consumer interest in such a device.
Samsung first announced its plans for a smartphone with a bendable display in September 2017, and at the time, Koh said that the device would be positioned as a Galaxy Note. Given that Samsung has already announced this year's Galaxy Note 9, it's likely the new foldable smartphone will feature its own branding and will be sold alongside the Galaxy Note and S lines.

Koh declined to share details on how a folding screen might work, but at IFA last week, he said that Samsung is trying to work out the details on differentiating it from a tablet design.Rumors suggest that the device Samsung is working on does not include a hinge and will instead be one single screen that is able to fold in half.
The device is said to be about seven inches diagonally, roughly the size of a small tablet, but it can be folded in half like a wallet. When folded, the exterior of the phone is said to offer a small display bar on the front and cameras in the back, with an all-screen design when opened up.
Koh told CNBC that details on the device could be unveiled at this year's Samsung Developer Conference, set to be held in November in San Francisco, but he did not offer up details on when it might go on sale. He did, however, say that while the development process was "complicated," Samsung has "nearly concluded" it.
Previous information has suggested Samsung is actually aiming to launch the device early in 2019, targeting specific markets like gamers. If initial interest is strong, Samsung is said to be planning for a broader commercial debut during the second half of 2019.
Samsung is aiming to be the first company to come out with a foldable screen, beating other companies like Apple to the new design. Rumors have suggested that Apple is perhaps experimenting with an iPhone with a foldable display.
A 2017 rumor, for example, suggested Apple is working on an iPhone with a foldable display alongside LG Display, and a Merrill Lynch analyst recently predicted Apple will introduce a foldable iPhone in 2020.
There continues to be no concrete evidence that Apple is pursuing a foldable iPhone, but the company has filed for several patents related to foldable iPhone displays.

I don't know that I'd necessarily want a foldable-screen phone, at least not yet - but that video is pretty amazing either way - I was cringing thinking about the old stress creases you'd see when you might have had occasion to bend an LCD screen before...
People are losing interest in what? iPhones are selling very well and they are expected to sell even better with their 2018 models. Samsung can’t release any phone that competes with the iPhone, a foldable phone won’t change that. I’m all for opinion on these forums, but statements like this make zero sense.
You have to understand that the internet is a tool for corporations and nation states to try to influence folks minds. Don't think for one second Samsung hasn't set up shop on these forums in the form of Apple bashers to try and influence purchases of their products. Think about it. What normal person would hang out on a fan site of something they don't like just to bash?
This whole back and forth is truly sad. Apple, Samsung, IBM, Microsoft, Sony, etc are all huge corporations with some very, very smart people working at them. Even with that, they make mistakes. But, if you step back and just think without being combative, you'll realize you use stuff that they all have created. Also, you'll realize that you are not the company, you are the end user. Most companies only care that you like what they do so they can sell you more product.

I have NO issue with you being a Samsung user. Like I’ve said a thousand times before, my issue is the lifeless trolls who thrive on spending their day on an apple forum to just trash Apple and brag about how much better Samsung is or whatever other Android OEM they like.
