Sure, but you’re claiming the tablet “could be almost as thin folded” yet you have no basis to say that.
There’s nothing to suggest Samsung can make a tablet that’s 3-4mm thick.
The main contributor to the volume of a phone is how big the battery needs to be.

... is not magic. Case, circuit board, components, display and front cover all contribute to minimum thickness. And battery has to go somewhere.
Case is thin, dies are thin, SoC could be 7nm, displays can be thin, boards can be thin, batteries could be thinner.
LG W7 TV is 2.57mm thick.

There’s a big difference between process node and the thickness of an SoC package. Like more than 100,000 times thicker.
Comparing a TV display to a touch-sensitive mobile display is a joke. That doesn't even take into consideration that the components are housed in a completely separate casing, not behind that display.
It is not a joke. People would have not believed you could make such a thin TV some years ago.
There is a difference between financial doom and a mental doom due to lack of inspiration (coinciding with slowed innovation, a defensive attitude to maintain market share, mental ineptness due to financial overflow)
Maybe it’s is too hard to conceive that, especially when financial success seems to overshadow everything else, and has become a subtitute for offering the best product. Share price level then becomes a deflective rod for everything that’s less desirable.
I am not going to explain how Steve’s values have been betrayed by the current Apple tenure, because everybody can see how obvious that is.
Now, this all may be beyond your scope, so l am simply asking you:

I get it. I personally don’t see the value myself, but that doesn’t mean the tech isn’t valuable in itself. I just don’t see it being feasible right now and I would rather a company wait until the tech is ready. I don’t agree with having to start somewhere though. I think it’s a flawed me first mentality that doesn’t ultimately benefit the customers.
That’s weird, I thought we were discussing the various components that contribute to minimize thickness but ok. Thermals are another subject, do you also expect problems there?
While true, that wasn’t what we were discussing. We were discussing component thicknesses.
Die thickness is not the issue. The package that contains it is what matters, which along with the circuit board will be a major contributor to minimum thickness. It doesn’t matter how thin the die is when the package is 2mm.

A similar article on this site would get 10 times more comments easily.

The Samsung faithful here. Which why are you here anyways is beyond me.
Whenever there’s a post about Samsung doing something or is working on a new feature, The Fandroids come out the woodwork to say how much better Samsung is than Apple. Samsung did this first and blah blah. It eventually becomes a pissing contest.
My question is why are there a select few Samsung fans here to bash Apple fans on anApple fan rumor site. Why don’t you all go worship Samsung and other android OEMS on an android fan site.
What that says to me is the android fans here are so obsessed with Apple being better, they come here so to speak to spy, and their insecurity with their devices shows with the childish bickering calling Apple fans fanboys and whatnot.
You would never find me on an android site even if you paid me. I like Apple. I like how it works for me. But the fans of other companies here to bash Apple seriously need to check their priorities in life. It’s actually sad.
