I don’t think everything is done to a lower standard, for instance their edge detection is far better than Apple’s but they do seem to approach development from a brute force perspective.Samsung, and all Android phone manufacturers seem to choose the small-brained tactic of BIG NUMBER = GOOD which appeals to only the most uneducated consumers. Everything is a facade with the implication that more is better, when in reality everything is of a poorer quality and done to a lower standard. It’s like someone showing off their brand new McMansion, a nice gigantic house constructed with only the finest cardboard and paper mache.
Also different moon phases but we all know the full moon is where it’s at.Of JUST the moon? 1. It always points the same surface towards the earth, so the only thing novel that can be captured is that one shot. Now if you can capture with some clouds or trees or a plane crossing in front of it, that’d be almost infinite variability.
Will BTS ever rename themselves “Bring to Samsung”?I'm curious on the aggregate have any of these ad campaigns been proven to work for Samsung? I'm inclined to think hiring BTS as the spokespersons is the only thing that marginally worked in expanding their market share in the west in recent years.
All that is incorrect.1. The whole Android software UI is confusing and too much.
2. Lack of Privacy.
3. Lack of updates to the latest Samsung phones.
Samsung TVs don't run Android.Samsung makes good panels, but I hate the Android operating system. I have a Samsung S95B TV; great picture but lousy operating system there too.
This question doesn't make sense. OneUi is a completely modified version of Android that could very well run on it's own without Google service, just like China only android phones. You do know Android is open source? It's not like windows.Just what would Samsung do without Google’s operating system 😂
Well it's obvious you don't understand the purpose of downsampling.all those pixels, then downscaled for social media sharing. Pointless
And based on reading since then, I do wonder if it could capture anything other than just a clear picture of the moon. If their scene detection is focused on making the moon look better, anything else in the frame might end up looking quite strange. I’d wonder at this point how it’d handle the phases, too. Also different moon phases but we all know the full moon is where it’s at.
You're the first Samsung user I've ever met (virtually or otherwise) that didn't immediate start a pissing contest as soon as I pulled out my iPhone or they realized I was an iPhone user. Of course I'm generalizing because I could not have possibly met every Samsung user on the planet. But I still stand by my point which you seem to agree with too - stupid people are programmed by marketing but I only see marketing that denigrates Apple and their users coming from Samsung's camp. I don't see any marketing denigrating Samsung or their users coming from Apple. Do you?Hmm, I'd be interested in seeing which research you pulled to come to that genius conclusion. I'm a Samsung owner, yet still love iPhones for what they do well. It's not Apple vs Samsung, well if you own the company or are a shareholder I suppose it is, but for general consumers it's not. It's these idiotic Samsung vs. Apple, BMW vs. Mercedes, etc comparisons which really show who has a chip on their shoulder. Get the best device for your needs and move on. The iPhone was the best device for my needs for a while, but now a Samsung phone is better for personal and professional reasons.
FUD like "strained jealousy and anger buried in their voice" is just that, inane FUD, it's not really conducive to a real conversation. Although I can't blame you entirely as the entire topic Macrumors created with this clickbait is meant to do exactly that. If people are stupid enough to be "programmed" by marketing then let them be programmed.
LoL it's like you don't have access to the internet.Nice try Samsung, let me know when you are successful at building a phone that doesn't spontaneously combust. Last I heard Samsung models were STILL banned by the FAA. Maybe if you spent more money on engineering and less on ads going after Apple.
This is just such a foreign concept to me that. I have literally never seen a pissing contest between users of different mobile devices in all of the history of mobile devices. I have never seen anyone IRL aggressively defend a particular brand of anything. I have friends who have samsung phones, pixel phones, and iphones, as well as other types of phones and never once had anyone ever even commented, let alone started an argument about it. The idea just seems so strange to me. These things are tools, not part of our identities. You're the first Samsung user I've ever met (virtually or otherwise) that didn't immediate start a pissing contest as soon as I pulled out my iPhone or they realized I was an iPhone user. The only Samsung phone i’m aware of that was ever banned by the FAA was the Note 7, and Samsung recalled all of them. It came out in August of 2016, so a long time ago now. Sure, some people likely didn’t comply but if I recall, they were all borked by updates that rendered them useless. It’s funny because I also follow xda-developers. The Note 7 was very popular over there and people were acting like someone shot their dog when told that it was being recalled.LoL it's like you don't have access to the internet.
Where and when you head about Samsung models STILL banned by the FAA? I'm curious. And what Samsung smartphone models?

Both companies are ginormous. Your coworker obviously didn‘t understand the meaning of the word monopoly. 😂10 years ago I’m in the kitchen at work.
Colleague comes in. Sees me with my iPhone.
Shows me his new Samsung S3 or S4 whatever it was at the time.
He says he won’t buy iPhone because Apple is a mega corporation and a monopoly.
I said Apple iPhones and Macs have less users globally than their competitors in every sector. Samsung, Android and Windows PCs have more users because they have more product lines, more partners and more price tiers.
I also say Samsung is the biggest conglomerate in the world and the 2nd largest tech company overall.
Crickets could be heard mating two continents away.
Downsampling is irrelevant. You still don’t need 48mp for social media sharing.Well it's obvious you don't understand the purpose of downsampling.
He was really talking like Samsung is some kind of little indie company in Korea. 😂 Gotta support the little competitor beat the big tech giant 😂Both companies are ginormous. Your coworker obviously didn‘t understand the meaning of the word monopoly. 😂
Lol. Guess he didn’t know about all of the other stuff they make.He was really talking like Samsung is some kind of little indie company in Korea. 😂 Gotta support the little competitor beat the big tech giant 😂
