It actually works pretty well these day, and is FAR more personally configurable.
problem with configurable is theat i have to spend time to set it up the way i want it, i don't have time for that.
it is probably personal choice.

If you like Android great but Samsung seriously have some issues....all they ever do is talk about Apple.
Don't ever talk about your competition....that is marketing 101. They are like a petulant child.
If you enjoy Android devices, go for it.
"Hello, I'm a Mac..."

"And I'm a PC."

Generally speaking, I don't see samsung at all, but yes, this tweet does make me want to say: they don't even have the ability to create their own system, they have to live on Android, who is more pathetic. Everyone agrees that android is a piece of shxt. So who is more pathetic? lol

I have not seen one person in every day life with a folding phone. Yet nearly everyone with iPhones….many people would rather have an iPhone 8 than a droid

I've seen 3 in a month, I was travelling on a public bus and I saw a teenager using one, an adult was using one whilst on a train and my company boss has one.

Every major mobile manufacturer used to have their own proprietary operating system for many years and just like Bill Gates did who built an operating system that runs on multiple hardware platforms, the same kind of person came along and did the same for mobile phones.

Seriously?... Apple made their comeback in 2006 to 2009 with the "Get a Mac" campaign utilizing Justin Long as a cool hip Mac constantly mocking a PC... I'm sorry... you're allowed to have a preference and an opinion, but when you say something that's just... well... wrong... it makes you look a little foolish. That's just Professionalism 101 with a side of History 101... maybe you should have taken those courses first before attempting marketing?
(PS, every course in marketing I've ever taken during my MBA said NOTHING about not talking about your competition. In fact one of them said quite the opposite.)
Did the courses also teach how to insult people from behind a screen?

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts on this thread, which you obviously haven’t read, is that Samsung targeted Apple specifically and it’s all they ever do. Not only targeting them but actually using the Apple name in their titles! On the flip side of the coin, Apple targeted competition generally rather than referring to a specific company. That is the difference.

And in future, if you could reply with a little more respect, it would be appreciated.

hopefully Dynamic Island will be removed for good in iPhone 15...no one likes to see a huge black hole while watching a movie on screen

Yes its hard to think of any other company actually mentioning a specific competitors name in an advert - Porsche dont mention Ferrari or McLaren and LG dont mention Philips or Sony etc etc

I hate competition that's for sure - it just create tension on both sides. Unnecessary fight is just pure childish thing to do.

Since when the product become a religion?

This has been the life long debate with Apple vs the World:

Mac Vs. PC - Check ✓
Maps vs Google Maps - Check ✓
Siri vs ________ - Check ✓
:apple: Watch vs Whatever OS - Check✓
:apple: Music vs Whatever Spotify? - Check✓

If you think there is going to be an end, then you haven't seen anything yet. This will never change, people will support their brands, like its their favorite sports team, to me all this means is the next Whatever is invented, will be really good, and in the end, all the camps will benefit.

However, just remember the story of Gol-- Microsoft/Nokia/Blackberry etc. vs David. In the end who is left standing up?

As much as I 💘 Apple, they have been petulant before, and if you are in this type of business they know you have to take it as well as you dish it.

I think they are wrong. 108 MP doesn’t mean the camera is better as they are proclaiming. Nor is a folding phone a innovation. It’s just plain stupid in my opinion. Especially their version of it. A plastic screen just doesn’t work. Never did . Apple is smart enough to not make a foldable until it can be done right. If they wanted to they could. They just don’t want to.

Maybe on the camera side, but I haven't compared side by side pics or seen any reviews yet so I'll withhold judgement until I do. Sometimes it's not even about which is necessarily better but which has better features. I was reminded this weekend of how awesome it is to pause video recording on a Samsung device, take note Apple. Another feature that for myself would be huge would be a periscope camera.

On the folding screens I can only offer my opinion, which is that you are dead wrong. I mean they obviously work, they are being sold and used by millions of consumers and they exist. They also are not "plastic" screens, only early foldables were made of plastic polymers. Newer screens are ultra thin glass (UTG) which is actually glass put through a chemical process to allow it to bend (not truly fold). This is a common misconception, probably because you do have a plastic screen protector factory installed over the UTG. It's not as nice as a slab phone, but at the same time you have a much larger display so there is a trade off either way. For me it's an incredible innovation that still amazes me even after using it for the past three years.

But Apple don't specify a specific brand within their marketing campaigns as far as I remember. They simply refer to them as competitors and they very rarely do that anymore. Samsung tend to target Apple all the time and constantly use the Apple name in the headline which is embarrassing to say the least.
It's like Apple release a product and the very next day, the Samsung marketing team get together and say....right what can we say about the release yesterday and make sure we use Apple in each of our ads.
It makes sense for Samsung to do so. They're competing with both other Android manufacturers and iOS users. Apple is the only one who makes iOS devices. Plus, Apple has a large market share, so that would be the best way to spend their marketing efforts. It's good for all around to remind iOS users that should there be anything they don't like about it, switching to Android is fairly seamless.

When did they reference Google...I must have missed that.
Good question. I had to wonder about that b/c I wasn't completely sure. A quickie search shows no, but yes....

.... No because he indeed did NOT reference Google.
Yes b/c when Tim Cook says stuff like that, of course it's going to be directed at iOS' biggest competitor. If you're willing to read between the lines, then there you go.

Yeah sure they're 'trolling' while at the same time they pull crap like preinstalling TikTok and Candy Crush on their phones. You wouldn't believe what a mess it was to set up a Galaxy A10. I get that it's not a flagship, but it felt like running an installer back in the Windows XP days. Just constantly unchecking boxes o_O

You poor thing. You're offended? Are you offended because you were wrong or because someone called you out for being wrong? Because, there's really nothing offensive in my comment. I don't need to insult someone on a MacRumors post. Just pointing out your inaccuracy.

Bang your drum all you want. I've read plenty of your posts. They are all snide, smug and pointed in a fanboy slant. Look, I own plenty of apple merchandise... but I'm not going to run around pretending like they are the best company out there and like they do nothing wrong. They have plenty of their own failures. I like their tech, but they are far from perfect. Good luck though, sorry you felt offended for being wrong?

Samsung should have known better than to attempt to troll Apple so close to iPhone release day (which is also the day hundreds of millions of people around the world update to iOS 16).

Which in turn exposes another of android’s major failings for the whole world to see.

I would say it was pretty lacking in foresight, but then again, it seems quite in line with many of the moves that Samsung has made of late. Just plain lacking in overall foresight.

Why do Samsung always feel the need to attack Apple? It's a bad look IMO. When was the last time Apple attacked any of their competitors?
You probably didn't see old Steve Jobs keynotes attacking Microsoft Windows. But seriously I don't understand why Samsung needs to mock Apple, they make pretty great phones and have great sales they don't need to make these useless comparisons.
