Except Apple never mentioned the competition by name. They never called out Windows or Microsoft (or Dell etc). If you watch them, Hodgeman is a loveable, slightly pathetic goof and the point of each ad was something that was easier on the Mac. By contrast, the Samsung ads always seem mean-spirited and hectoring.Yup, just like I’m a Mac and I’m a PC ads?! 😜
Policemen wore shorts once upon a time too.Yup, just like I’m a Mac and I’m a PC ads?! 😜

Except the most important ones: happy clients, units sold, revenue, stock price etc 😉Still competing on having larger numbers than Apple
Totally agree with you.People buy iPhones for 2 reasons Samsung KNOWS they can’t compete with, for as long as they’ve been trying to do the same thing.
The OS, and more importantly… The ecosystem.
I’m pretty sure Apple explicitly trashed Intel when Apple was on PowerPC... only to switch everything to Intel later on. Apple has many times targeted their competition in their ads or presentation… and so what? If these companies want to call each other out, let them.Except Apple never mentioned the competition by name. They never called out Windows or Microsoft (or Dell etc).
God… no, I don’t want you to take me out shopping. I’m establishing that your argument was utterly ridiculous, proven by your inability to back it up.I told you what phones to look for ... Android phones. It's easy.
If you want me to take you out shopping because you are too lazy to do it yourself, you are going to have to pay me alot of money. I'm certainly not for free.
And dude, I have 4 different iPhone's, I don't even own an Android phone. And me, as an Apple user can even see how Apple has been copying Android phones for years.
I don’t buy iPhone because of the things it can do, but because of how it feels to use it. This is something many people will never understand, to the point that they will go to great lengths to tell me that I’m wrong.Samsung is not wrong. Dynamic Island is nifty but nothing that will dramatically change how we use iPhones. Nothing about the 14 pushes the envelope with maybe the exception of 2,000 not displays.
I think you responded to the wrong person. That said, I find your comment very odd because I know for a fact that you buy iPhones because of the things it can do, more so than just how it feels to use it. If it couldn't take good photos, if it still lacked copy & paste, if it lacked 3rd party apps, etc., iPhone might feel great with stock apps like with iPhone 1.0, but you wouldn't be buying it over Android phones. No sane person would.I don’t buy iPhone because of the things it can do, but because of how it feels to use it. This is something many people will never understand, to the point that they will go to great lengths to tell me that I’m wrong.
Exactly.I’m pretty sure Apple explicitly trashed Intel when Apple was on PowerPC... only to switch everything to Intel later on. Apple has many times targeted their competition in their ads or presentation… and so what? If these companies want to call each other out, let them.
When you observe the blind loyalty on forums like this one, or similar ones on reddit, etc., you don't have to do a lot of addition to figure out why Apple can be as stingy with innovation as it is.Samsung is not wrong. Dynamic Island is nifty but nothing that will dramatically change how we use iPhones. Nothing about the 14 pushes the envelope with maybe the exception of 2,000 not displays.
The cameras were the biggest disappointment. Very little innovation there… just copied what was available for years on Android phones. I’ll skip this and hope for a decent improvement in the telephoto lens next year. The least they could have done is copied Samsung there but Apple is being very stingy with their “innovations” and clearly holding some things back for future generations.
That's because showing the actual creased screen in the ad would make people say "wtf?"Every Samsung ad has this displayed in tiny lettering at the bottom - "Screen image simulated." With Apple, what you see is what you get. Samsung can piss off.
