He'd have a much better point if he'd compare the Big Mac with the King Supreme. The whopper is nothing like a bigmac, though it could be argued that the King Supreme is "highly influenced" by McDonald's garbage. Of course, both are crap that shouldn't be eaten, but that's another discussion alltogether.

May i interest you in Sweden's finest*?

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! ESPECIALLY SAMSUNG CUZ THEY ARE SO AWESOME THAT IS WEIRDLY EXACTLY THE SAME PRICE AS OVERPRICED APPLE CRAPS AND USE EQUIVALENT OR BETTER HARDWARE BUT ITS STILL AWESOME KNOCKOFF CUZ I HATE APPLE INC!
Fixed.

;);):D

Very clever, Samsung. I always thought Apple was being petty (yes, defending their property, but still) and that this was just going to make the 10.1 look like a threat.

Obviously it's a threat to apple. Otherwise apple would have doing something other than pissing their time with sueing Samsung in different countries.

Wow. Seeing my post in an entirely new light like that has totally changed my opinion forever. I was such an Apple fanboy. Now? I have realized the errors of my ways. I shall now go out and commit public suduko, for I have failed Steve Jobs.
You have disowned steve jobs. He commends you to commit a sepuku just like any other disowned apple fanboys. How do I know this? I speak with him telepathically, even when he is dead. Oh and he said he secretly admires Samsung products and told his families to not sell his Samsung TV.

Damn. You people. Can't even be funny on the internet these days. :p

Yes. I do know what seppuku is. Suduko, though, is far more entertaining. :D

There's a lot of stupidity on the internet as well, so you need to do more than simply use the wrong word - you need to add some context so that it's obvious that you're making a joke and not being stupid.

What does a Chinese KIRF copy have to do with Samsung exactly ? You're all over the map and only proving you have no real clue.

Anyway, all this talk of copying, while completely boring and rehashed on its own, is completely irrelevant in the context of this thread. This is about Australia, an ad for the Tab and the injunction that was overturned which never was granted based on design, copying or any of that junk. The Australian case was about 2 patents, one for a UI gesture and one for a manufacturing process for screen technology.

The more you know.

I'm not all over the map. I'm trying to figure out exactly how close a copy it has to be before KnightWRX sees a similarity that is too close for simple coincidence, as the asian car manufacturer claimed in the video. Our sidebar has absolutely nothing to do with the original article, which is about an advertisement, which is also not about the injunction (at least not directly).

Here's a recap, someone said why attack Samsung over the other companies copying Apple. You posed that they attack them because they ship the most units, I posed that they went after them because they had the most blatant copies of Apple's products and could build the possible best case against them. We disagree on this point, and that's fine by me, since it doesn't really matter one way or the other. Maybe its both, maybe its neither.

I was hoping to learn how someone looks at something like this:
supershuffle-2.jpg

and goes, oh yeah, totally innovative design right there. Thank god for open market capitalistic competition with no rules. I mean, clearly I can tell the difference between those two products from 500 ft! :p

True, but what about their Mac Vs PC ads? That was just a constant dig at MS. I like Apple and all, but...

It was also a constant dig at PC users as well - in spite of the fans' protests that Justin and John were computers, not computer users.

The "Mac vs PC" campaign was also frequently inaccurate nearly to the point of libel - but honesty has never been a hallmark of any Apple ad campaign.

Hey, were talking about the company that invented both multi-touch and the personal computer. No way they could be inaccurate, ever!

Hah, I like it. I think it's smart on the part of Samsung. Honestly, Apple trying to ban all of these devices is just getting old. Sure, there's a little bit of imitation, but at the same time, there are only so many components available for these devices, and the amount of these lawsuits just makes it appear that Apple is being greedy. They already have the best-selling product in the segment, and they have to go and try to squish any potential competitors. I understand business competition, but there comes a point where it's distasteful.

Witty

I think this is clever marketing and advertisment. I would never buy an galaxy tab because android is a much inferior OS compared to iOS but I still think its funny.

Im going to ask a rhetorical question since I am sure you wont answer. But what did Samsung copy again?

You do realize that the following is fact. Prior to March 2011, Samesung had a Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet ready for the masses. It was based off the iPad 1 specs. Right after the iPad 2 was shown to the public, Samesung execs stated that they had to go back to the drawing board. They then retooled their 10.1 to match the iPad 2, literally copying everything they could.

Take a look at the charging connector, the design of the packaging, the minimalistic design of the current 10.1. Then take a look at the previous 10.1. You can see how Samesung has copied everything they could. Samesung is like a talking parrot. Great for mimicking, but incapable of producing anything original.

You want to know when Samesung will produce their next tablet? I can tell you right now, with 100% certainty it will be within 3 months of the iPad 3's release. It takes their engneers that long to create the copy.

Links, please. (And at least try to spell Samsung correctly....)

LOL, grow the hell up. Name calling a company doesn't strengthen your already-pathetic argument.

And you do realize that what you said is basically speculations at best? Also, how the hell is Galaxy Tab a copy of Ipad when nearly every single components are superior to that hunk of junk ipad? Eh? eh? Eh?

Try again harder.

Samsung is one disgusting company.

Apple should reply with 'we don't tolerate knock-off' adds. They could start with just the packaging and accessories sold with the Tab. Cookie cutter copies. Pathetic. Looking forward to the day were this all catches up with Samsung.

True, they showed off what was to become the Galaxy Tab 10.1v to the public in February.

It was based off the iPad 1 specs.

Uh ? Dual core processor, front (2 MP) and back (8MP) cameras, 21 mbps HSPA+... stop me when I get to the "iPad 1 specs" please. Oh right, this thing wasn't based off the iPad 1 specs at all, that's you spreading misinformation and FUD.

Right after the iPad 2 was shown to the public, Samesung execs stated that they had to go back to the drawing board. They then retooled their 10.1 to match the iPad 2, literally copying everything they could.

By changing... what exactly ? What is the difference between the 10.1v and the 10.1 ?

Let me tell you :

- the 10.1 has a 3 MP back camera instead of 8 on the 10.1v
- the 10.1 is thinner by 2 mm than the 10.1v (and the iPad 2 consequently)
- the 10.1 has a 64 GB storage option that the 10.1v doesn't

Otherwise, same tablet.

So what exactly in those 3 changes is "literally copying everything they could" from the iPad 2 ?

Oh right, it's not because you just don't know what you're talking about :

10.1v specs
10.1 specs

It's so hilarious seeing all the people bash Samsung yet not realising that we're on this big network called the Internet where we can fact check and prove them wrong so easily.

Apple didn't invent multitouch, or the pc!?!? Where the hell did you get these facts like woah. lol however apple was the first to make both of those into what their used in today

If samsung is a disgusting company, then apple is a ****** pathetic company that tries to sue every single other companies.

Yeah, I know. Deal with it.
