Looks neat. Interested in seeing what other companies can produce that's similar to this

I've reached the very top of what I'm willing to spend on a phone. So there's no way I'd even consider a phone that's almost 2,000 bucks, unless it can 100% replace my workstation.

That awkward moment when you fold it back the wrong way and store it in your pocket.

Perhaps you are so full of your self that you didn't see how the presenter was nervous. I'm sure you would be much better at handing a big presentation to thousands of people around the world.
There's really no need to show specs, we already know the battery life is going to rekt away the XS Max. Oh wait the Galaxy S5 already does that. ;)

You can be nervous and charismatic at the same time. They’re not mutually exclusive.

This seems just a race to see who charges more to make people want it.

how much money are you going to save exactly? 1500 for the XS Max plus another 1500 for the iPad Pro?

Cheapest Xs Max and cheapest iPad Pro is $1099 + $799 = $1998.

But you’re right, you don’t save money. It’s exactly $18 more expensive still :p

Edit: math fail. That’s $1898. So it is indeed cheaper to go Xs Max and iPad Pro :)

Those keynotes are always a good laugh, they never learn how to do it properly. Trying to constantly outdo Apple while not getting any response from the audience...

Anyway, the phone itself looks like very cool tech. An iPad in your pocket is brilliant. You can clearly see it's a first gen product and the price is ridiculous, but this could very well be the future. It's definetly not the 'now' for me though.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$ holy hell! This is going too far, it was hard enough to justify the $1,200 iPhone X I have. When Apple copies this one it'll cost $2,500. I miss this blissfully ignorant days of $200 two year phone contracts.

I didn't realise it folds along the long direction. That's mental. What's the aspect ratio when folded?

Totally love the innovation push.
Major kudos to Samsung.

Apple has done nothing of even remote interest on the innovation front anytime recently, so I applaud this sort of effort.

Apple needs to be pushed. Big time.

Since when did “innovation” mean “throw unorthodox ideas against a wall and see what sticks”?

Face ID technology (which the competitors still can’t replicate) or the Apple A-series chip (which the competitors still can’t outperform) is a lot more innovative than a screen on a hinge which you can open — to double its size and halve the thickness. Wow! How did they manage that?!

Are you seeing something I’m not?

I can’t see myself with a $2000 mobile. I'm just going to stick with my cheap iPhone Xs Max, it does everything I need.
